  • HT5361 How to move saved messages in outlook to mail

Could someone tell me how I can move all my saved messages from my Outlook into my mail as I wish to only use mail in future.
    Many thanks

I Wonder if your sitting there laughing at us as if there is some big conspiracy about selecti all and deleting all from our iPhones and iPads.
    The conspiracy.
Why can we not just not select all in the mail inbox and then delete all, if we do not want to delete every single one of them then deselect the few that we do not want to delete instead of having to select the thousands we do want delete individually.
And if you do make a mistake and delete the wrong emails by selecting all, then go to your trash and reinstate the ones you did not want to delete
I think 99% of us know how to DELETE emails individually, as you put it.
That's just sarcasm and if not then then your not fully understanding the question asked.
I would also say that probably 99% of us want to be able to select all and delete all if that's what we desire.
I would just like a honest answer of why we cannot select all delete all rather than giving me a load of rubbish about encase we delete something we didn't want to delete.

  • How to remove saved messages

I have 6gb of messages(saved) on my phone, and I have deleted every text on my phone.

I have figured it out how to delete the (saved) messages, you simply go on the conversations. Press and hold the text and it should come up with Copy, More. Press More and you should see on the top left that says Delete all. I did it and it went from 2GB down to 100MB.
    I hope this helps.

  • Saved messages to Media Card?

I am trying to free up some memory and would like to move saved messages to my media card. However, I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Currently my media card has pictures saved to it, as well as one song. It has ample space available. Can anyone please explain how to move saved messages to my media card?

You can't unless you use a third party application.
You may be able to when OS 4.5 is released. Not sure on that one.

  • HT4528 How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s

How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s?  It's taking up about 10GB of 32 GB capacity.

After much searching on the web and reading many (sometimes amusing) posts on this topic here is what I have found.
In Settings>General>Usage my saved mesages were using 3.2Gb and no apparently immediate way of deleting them.
However as the good book says "seek and ye shall find".
SO this is where I went:
Settings>iCloud>Account> then scroll down to ADVANCED and select Mail; again scroll down to the bottom and select Advanced and yet again scroll to the bottom (well at least to DELETED MESSAGES) and tap on the line called Remove.
Here at last you will find a setting that enables you to select the period after which iOS will remove your deleted messages.
The shortest period is one day so you will haev to wait 24 hours to finally have that memory back but it should work and is a nice feature in iOS although it is well burried!!

  • How can i delete messages that are saved on imessage

Hi. I have an iPhone 5s (16gb). I have no storage left on my phone and for some reason whenever I try to send someone who has and who doesn't have an iPhone a message through iMessage, my message send but i don't receive any messages. When I click send my message goes through but it still says sending on the top. I tried restarting my phone and backing it up but the problem is not not resolved.  I was looking at my settings the other day and realized the my 'saved' messages on iMessages take up 11.0gb. I found this out by clicking settings -> general -> usage. I figured maybe this might be the problem because I have no storage left due to my messages. How can I delete these 'saved' messages so i can have enough storage to update my phone (my phone hasn't been updated since 6/2014)? Another issue I'm having due to my lack of updating my phone is that my camera roll application always crashes on me and is constantly restoring my photos. It attempts to restore but it then says I have 0 photos. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello Brian,
Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing.  It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone.
I found the steps to delete a song from your iPhone on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide ( http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf ):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • TS2755 How do i get rid of the "saved messages" on my iphone?

whener i go to setting>general>usage it shows that i have 1.8gb of "saved messages". How do i get rid of these?

Firstly you DO NOT have to do a factory reset / wipe device, it is simply not required to get the space back!!
Mine had 3GB and I just got rid of it all, here is how:
    Make a backup in iTunes
    open iBackupBot (Google it)
    Go to the relevant backup
Click on Multimedia File Manager and click on the other Multimedia files tab
Sort by filename by clicking the Filename tab
Find MediaDomain/Library/SMS/Attachments and highlight all of them, then press delete.  You can also click to export to a folder of your choice, if you want to save them that is.
    Then go to System Files>MediaDomain>Library>SMS>Attachments
They will be all listed here, highlight them all and press delete
Then just restore that backup using iTunes!
Tadaa! Space recovered, your messages are still there but without the attachments!
P.S You may want to make two backups in case you get any of the above steps wrong, but it is simple to follow the above and not do anything wrong!

  • How do I get rid of saved messages data on my phone?

I have an iPhone that only has 8gb and I'm in desperate need of space until I'm able to upgrade. When I look at Usage, it says I have 1.8gb of saved messages. I deleted all the threads and rebooted but the data hasn't gone away. I also have a MacBook that saves the message data (which I want) so why is my phone saying the data is still stored on my phone? How can I get the data off my phone and can I do it and still keep the messages on my MacBook? Thanks!

This is covered in the User's Guide along with all other basic functionality.
Press and hold the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

Backup your device in iTunes and then to iCloud
Go to Settings>iCloud and toggle Documents & Data to OFF
Then do a 2nd backup to iTunes and iCloud
Then restore the device from iCloud and the message attachments should be gone, turn Documents & Data back on again in the settings
PLEASE NOTE: Method two is a much longer process but some users may feel more comfortable with this method.
P.S You may want to make two backups in case you get any of the above steps wrong, but it is simple to follow the above and not do anything wrong!
P.P.S You could also just go through every single conversation and delete the attachments one by one, but if you have hundreds or thousands of attachments, this will take a VERY LONG TIME!!!

  • How to transfer the messages saved as .csv file to the iphone?

I made abackup my messages using SQlite browser which saved the backup file as .csv file. How can i transfer it to my phone again?

PC suite does not help. Especially in my case where i created sub-folders in the "saved messages" folder, after which the messages can be read, but cannot be moved back to inbox anymore. After calling the nokia care centre, guess what the d**B customer care person said? she said one option is to forward the SMS's to another SIM card, then save it on that sim card. talk abt not using your brain!!! firstly, it would be costly, at 5cents per sms; that notwithstanding, it would take hours and hours to forward all (I have ard 900 saved sms's) to another number!
with technology at the leve it's at now, I don't see why I have to incur both the TIME and MONEY to transfer something that is already belonging to me.

  • My saved messages are using a lot of memory.  How do I free up the memory?

My saved imessages are using a lot of memory (3.1GB) on my iphone.  How can I free up the memory?

This is when I go to "usage" and it lists all of the memory used by certain apps.  Messages is the largest, and I swipe to the left to open it and it says that "saved messages" are using all of it.  There is no option to do anything at this screen.

  • How to free memory, taken by 'Saved Messages' ??

Has anyone figured this one yet ? After deleting all message threads ,under  ' Usage ' , ' Saved Messages ' still takes up a lot of memory . The only solutions I have found involved downloading some shady 3rd party app. Has anyone figured another way or does anyone know if apple is doing something about that issue ?

a short and correct answer would be: you can't.
As oracle uses a fair amount of shared memory, and that shared memory is attached to most of the oracle processes, the same memory appears a number of times.
you should rephrase your question / what is it you want to achieve?
you can ask oracle how much memory is assigned to it, v$sga, v$sgastat, v$process (for PGA). moreover, you as DBA are the one who configured that.
you can look at major an minor faults per process to see what is causing the paging (if you have any).
you can also look at the /proc/pid/statm pseudofilesystem for your oracle pids.

  • How to move messages in "Saved Messages" and "My F...

I've just upgraded my phone from 6280 to N73 Music Edition.
To transfer all transferrable data from 6280 to N73, I used PC Suite 6.84.10.4 to backup 6280 and restore it on N73.
Contacts, calendar, bookmarks, messages in the Inbox/Outbox/Draft/Sent Items are all transferred well into N73. However, it's not transferring my messages in 6280's Saved Messages and its user-created folders!
On the 6280 phone itself, I tried to move messages into Inbox but it doesn't work. 6280 only allows moving of messages in the user folders to other folders or the Saved Messages folder.
I have lots of messages stored in my 6280's Saved Messages and folders. How can I transfer them all to my new N73 phone? Would appreciate help.
    Thanks

there you can mark all messages in a folder and copy them to your pc. on the new phone vice-versa.
I've just tried it out. I can select all messages from the Archives or My Folders of 6280 using PC Suite and drag them into a PC folder. This works. However, when I tried to select all messages from the PC folder and drag into Inbox of N73, the messages are not copied.
So, this method doesn't seem to work

  • How do I get rid of saved messages on iOS7?

I noticed this new feature in the Usage section of Settings. I have a whopping 8.8 GB of space taken up by Messages (always wondered what that "other" data was...). I tried getting rid of it by deleting conversations in messages (almost all of them, and especially the ones I knew had a ton of pics and videos in em) but after doing that and reopening the app, ALL my messages were gone. I didn't delete ALL of them. I restarted and then all my messages, even the deleted convos, were all back. How can this be??? I did this twice and the same result happened. Oddly though, my message data number went down by a few points to 8.2 GB.
I seriously need to get rid of these saved messages so I can reclaim my phone space and deleting them within iMessage doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Has anyone else noticed this happening? If so, how did you fix it? I figured I'd try asking here first before I go to the Apple store this weekend.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
    Pooja

Ok guys, I found a weird work-around for this. Apparently, if you delete one conversation in iMessage and then back up to iCloud (or iTunes), it WILL delete that conversation and free up space. However, if you try to delete more than one conversation and then do this, it won't work. Once you restart they'll all be back. So it is a tedious process to delete one conversation at a time, but if you can pinpoint the ones which you know have a lot of attachments in them or something then just try deleting those one at at time and backup the phone. This works for me and I now have 4GB of space recovered just by deleting two conversations!!
Very buggy feature though since it doesn't work for more than one at a time but at least there IS a solution! Let me know if this works for you all.

I deleted all my messages, yet in my usage it still says saved messages? How do I permanently delete them to free up space? Thanks!

If you've already deleted your messages and it's saying this, that means you have corrupted data.
Sync your contacts & calendars to iCloud, copy your photos to your computer, and then restore the phone & set it up as new (don't restore your backup). Thats' teh only way to get rid of this.
