There are tons of examples on the Internet, on this very place (OTN XML DB and XML forums) and of course in Oracle documentation.
Have you already give those a try?

How to disable xml validation

I'm trying to write an SVG parser using Xerces. The problem is that when the SVG file contains the doctype tag <!DOCTYPE svg PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SVG 1.0//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/REC-SVG-20010904/DTD/svg10.dtd">my program throws the following exception:
java.net.UnknownHostException: www.w3.org
        at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(PlainSocketImpl.java:177)
        at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:507)
        at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:457)
etc.If I remove <!DOCTYPE> tag, it works fine. According to what I read here, it's necessary to disable XML validation. The Xerces API documentation says that there is a method setValidation() in org.apache.xerces.framework.XMLParser but I can't locate it. Moreover, I don't see any org.apache.xerces.framework package in Xerces supplied with NetBeans 5.0 nor in Xerces 2.8.0 downloaded from apache.org (the XMLParser class available to me is located in org.apache.xerces.parsers).
My question is simple:
How to disable XML validation if the setValidation() method is not avaliable
OR
how to make the setValidation method available to my program?
I'm really confused :(

You're solving the wrong problem here. Turning off validation won't help, because DTDs don't only do validation. Even non-validating parsers have to read the DTD in case it contains entity definitions, for example.
If you want to stop the parser from looking for the DTD then you write a EntityResolver and apply it to the parser. The EntityResolver should be just like the one in the example in the API docs except it should return new InputSource(new StringReader("")).

How to refresh XML file from my client machine

I have temp.XML and temp.XSL template in our server machine.
when i give a print from client machine first time it gives the record,and next time it did not get refresh.Always it shows the previous records in the browser.But when i go into the server machine and click on temp.xml,it shows the current record(correct records)

You never delete a Time Machine backup by dragging it to the Trash. You are supposed to use the TM application to manage the backups. What you will need to do now is to simply erase the drive using Disk Utility.

How to send XML using UTL_HTTP

I am trying to workout how to send XML data to a webserver using UTL_HTTP but am not getting any reply
I need to submit the following XML document to a server "http://api.fastsms.co.uk/api/xmlapi.php" Their instructions are "The XML Document should be posted unencoded, with a UTF-8 character set as parameter 'xml'"

Yikes - how embarassing ! Thanks for pointing out my beginners mistake there. I've fixed my code - and also implemented the substitutions of parameters like you suggested - I like that approach.
Unfortunately the end result is no better - the line
utl_http.read_text(resp,response_text);
Still returns nothing back

I guess I will need to try chasing it with the fastsms vendor so see if they can check my incoming request and see if there are any glaring problems. I know the xml is correct as I am now logging the xml string just before I send it and when I take that string and put it in their test form it works perfectly - something else in the puzzle is missing. I've had no experience using utl_http before - perhaps it's no possible to read the xml repsonse using this ?

We want to install SAP Fiori Front-End (GW+UI) on the Sandbox system with SAP Netweaver 7.3.1. (SP14)
Gateway component (SAP GW CORE 200 SP10) was installed without any problems.
But I need to install UI-add-on (NW UI Extensions v1.0) and when I try to install it via SAINT, transaction said me that I need to generate xml-file for it (as in General notes for UI add-on mentioned).
But I have Solution Manager 7.0.1 and in MOPZ for this version I do not have option "install Add-on" as it written in Guide for ui add-on installation.
Could you please help me with advice how to generate xml-file for UI add-on installation on SolMan v.7.0.1?
If where is no way, but only to upgrade Solution Manager, maybe somebody could give me xml-file for your system (for NW 731) and I will change it to my needs, I will be very grateful!

How many web.xml in a java application

Hi,
can anyone give tell the answer for this question "How many web.xml in a java application?"

1Why ?Because the Web container refers to only one web.xml for one web application.
I havent heard of an application having more than 1 web.xml
How?It reads all the definitions of servlet mappings, filters, welcome-file etc from this file itself.
Where?From the following folder ...
/WEB-INF
