How to trigger a refresh from SAP

I have setup a web dynpro to display information from a function module in SAP. The function module executes abap programs in the backend SAP system and returns a result to a table in SAP. The information in this table is read by the function model that is bound to the web dynpro. I would like to know whether it is possible to trigger a refresh of the information displayed by the web dynpro once the abap in SAP has finished running. How do I go about implementing this in Developer Studio?
Thanks
Seb

Hi Seb,
the only solution is to use the TimedTriggerUI to get your browser doing a refresh. Even if you would have a thread running which polls yours backend, the server has no possibility to send this to your http client (browser).
With the timed trigger your browser refreshes (connects) in intervals to the java app server. This events can be used to poll changes.
Best regards,
Christian

  • How to Trigger an IDOC from SAP R/3 to two systems at a time

    Hi experts,
Can any one please tell me How to Trigger an IDOC from SAP R/3 to two XI systems at a time.
My current production R/3 system sends a DELVRY03 IDOC to Production XI system ( Name : XIP) .
I would like to route the same IDOC from production R/3 system to my Quality XI System ( Name XIQ) .
Problem is production R/3 system triggers an IDOC once. We need to write a logic to route the same to two different systems
Can any one tell me how can we do that ?
    Regards
    Ram.

    Hello Ram,
Do you have connectivity between your production & XIQ?
    What does "connectivity" mean?
    1. RFC destination is maintained.
    2. Port defined for the RFC destination.
If no, create these. (Search in SDN for details).
    If yes, proceed:
    1. Define the logical system for XIQ.(BD54)
    2. Define the same as your partner profile. (WE20). Add the message type SYNCH with the port for XIQ.(This is imp)
    3. Create a distribution model view with sender as "your production" & receiver as XIQ.
3.1. Add the messages which you want to distribute.
    3.2 Generate Partner profiles.
No coding is reqd. for this.

  • How to trigger IDOC'S from SAP

    Hi All,
How to trigger IDOC's from SAP(ECC 6)..where can we check this in mii 11.5 weather it is fail/success
    Thanks,
    Abhi

You can trigger LOIPRO, LOIPLO and a few others manually from POIT (SAP Txn).  Master Data related to orders can be triggered from POIM.  Depending on which IDocs you which to generate, there are other transactions to trigger different IDocs.
You can also use Triggers from MII to generate IDocs in SAP using CLOI_DOWNLOAD_TRIGGER_MDAT (POIM equivalent) and CLOI_DOWNLOAD_TRIGGER_TRANS (POIT equivalent).
There is also a rather nice post which detailed the process of using change pointers to automate the IDoc generation and download, but I am having trouble finding it.  Will continue to look and will post link when I find it.
    Regards,
    Mike
I couldn't find the post I was looking for, but there is an informative note 390635 which may help.

    Hi Yashpal,
First thing you need to do is install the Connector on both your work station where you run Crystal Reports as well as the SAP Server where the data is.
So I moved your post to the SAP Integration Kit forum.
Need to know what version of Crystal Reports you are using?
Search of browse here, lots of info on how to...

  • How to store multiple files from SAp in to Application server?

    Hi Guys,
Can anybody tell me how to store multiple files from SAP into Application server.in my application i have to get the data from SAP tables BSEG , BKPF , BSAK and BSIK that to daily i have to do.
Any Logic  or Code for how to do is welcomed.
                        plz help me urgently.
    Thanks,
    Gopi

    Hi,
directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!
Here you are code which I use to upload text files from local disc into application folder

  • How to get purchasing data from SAP R/3 to OWB (Oracle warehouse builder).

    Hi,
My name is Pavan Tata. I work as a SAP BW developer. Here is the situation at my client place. Client decided to retire BW system and wants to replace with OWB(Oracle warehouse). In all this currently we have purhchasing application in BW production system and wants to move this application to OWB for the same type of reporting what they are getting currently.
    Here is my question:
How to get purchasing data from SAP R/3 to OWB(Warehouse) with initial full loads and deltas mechanism in the same way as we do in BW.
Please help on this, also send me any documentation about this if you have.
    Thanks,
    Pavan.

    2LIS_03_BX- Initial Stock/Material stock
    2LIS_03_BF - Material movements
2LIS_03_UM - Revaluations/Find the price of the stock
The first DataSource (2LIS_03_BX) is used to extract an opening stock balance on a
detailed level (material, plant, storage location and so on). At this moment, the opening
stock is the operative stock in the source system. "At this moment" is the point in time at
which the statistical setup ran for DataSource 2LIS_03_BX. (This is because no
documents are to be posted during this run and so the stock does not change during this
run, as we will see below). It is not possible to choose a key date freely.
The second DataSource (2LIS_03_BF) is used to extract the material movements into
the BW system. This DataSource provides the data as material documents (MCMSEG
    structure).
The third of the above DataSources (2LIS_03_UM) contains data from valuated
revaluations in Financial Accounting (document BSEG). This data is required to update
valuated stock changes for the calculated stock balance in the BW. This information is
not required in many situations as it is often only the quantities that are of importance.
This DataSource only describes financial accounting processes, not logistical ones. In
other words, only the stock value is changed here, no changes are made to the
quantities. Everything that is subsequently mentioned here about the upload sequence
and compression regarding DataSource 2LIS_03_BF also applies to this DataSource.
This means a detailed description is not required for the revaluation DataSource.

These are the standard data sources used for Inventory extraction.
    Hope this helps.

Did you manage to have your program working? I also have same requirement. I tried standard FM and BAPI but I always encounter authorization error when I tried accessing other user's mail. Thanks.
