  • Paired, trusted Bluetooth device - always asks for PIN

    Hi guys,
I'm working on application that needs to connect to Bluetooth device (Zephyr HxM - it's a heart rate monitor) using SPP profile (this is the only profile that device supports). First I go into Bluetooth setting, I search for the device, add it, pair (enter PIN...). After that I set it as trusted (Trusted = Yes).
Inside my application I use BluetoothSerialPort classes to connect to device and read incoming data. This works perfectly fine. The problem is, every time I open a connection (so this happens once per application launch), BB prompts me to enter PIN and pairs the device. This happens every single time, despite the fact that I paired the device before and set it as trusted. If I pair Bluetooth headset - everything works fine. Am I missing something, or is this expected behavior. Could anyone advice?
Thanks and have a happy new year,
    michal

        Hello bfrasure,
It is very convenient to be able to use the trusted devices feature on your previous phone. This is a software for Motorola devices to allow the phone connect to trusted Bluetooth devices. At this time, this is not available with the iPhone, however, there may be third party applications that function similar to the trusted devices feature. If you decide to download a third party application, please be sure to read reviews to understand how it may affect your device.

  • How to get the device token in windows phone 8 sliverlight application?

    Hi,
I am developing a windows phone 8 silverlight application . For my application I want to add push notification service , for this service I have to call one web service in my app . This api requires device token , device id ..etc , I am able to get the all
    the things except devicetoken .
How to get the device token of a device ?
    any help?
    Thanks...
    Suresh.M

Most probably device token is the push channel url which is returned by MPNS when a request is made to it.

  • HT204053 i need to know how to separate different devices on the same itunes account

I need to kow how to seperate different devices on the same itunes account

Each of you should have their own iCloud account  which could be set up in "Settings > iCloud" (and if you asking me also for iMessage and FaceTime), but you could still use the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases which could be set up in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores" so that you only have to purchase each app or other media once.

  • How do i disassociate devices from my itunes account? I have an old iphone 4, PC, and soon to be old iphone 5.

    Hey sgallagher5200,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to remove an associated device from your account:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Removing an associated device or computer from an Apple ID
To remove a device or computer from your Apple ID:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Click the Remove button next to the device name you would like to unassociate.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90-day timer. You must wait 90 days from the day the device was first associated with your Apple ID before it can be associated with another Apple ID.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How to sync two devices with single Apple ID?

I would like to use the same Apple ID for both devices. During syncing in computer ITunes, is it possible to avoid the applications in both devices share to each others?

What syncs to any given device from a single iTunes library depend on how you have that device's profile set up in iTunes. When you connect the device to iTunes and select it under Devices, you will see a screen to the right. That screen has several tabs, including a tab for Apps. You select which apps you want on a particular device there.
Be sure you do not have "Automatice Downloads" set up under Settings>iTunes & App Stores for the devices in question.
    Cheers,

  • How to restore my device - iTunes problem?

Anyone helps me how to restore my device. i were using ios 5.5 but when i try to update my device to ios6 beta i get this message. how can i ignore it and go back to ios5. Thanks

We know that you aren't a member of the paid developer program.  You already tried asking about reverting after installing an illegal copy of beta software (deleted by Apple's moderators because you mentioned the J-word).
    Pay up or stop asking.

You need to get rid of MacKeeper (Zeobit).  Do not use their uninstaller, follow the instructions here ...
    http://applehelpwriter.com/2011/09/21/how-to-uninstall-mackeeper-malware/
When that is done there does not appear to be a lot wrong if you correct the red ink entries.
The 4Gb is sufficient for Yosemite though 6 or 8 Gb would be better.  You may find the download slow so be prepared.

  • How to tracking apple device?

    Dear Group,
    I have some question :
    1. how to know apple device by tracking the serial number?
    2. can we know the history some apple device by tracking the serial number?

    Dear lllaass,
    thx alot for the answer.
what I mena to track is not to show the location, but to know is the device shown by the serial number is a legal device or not.
for my second answer, what I mean is to know the device condition by the serial number.
    for an example :
I want to buy an iPhone from someone that I never know before (by the website).
so, I will ask the serial number & I want to track it in Apple tracking system, is the device is legal or not, the gurantee validation, etc.
that I mean from my question Brother.
if u can help me, please I need it.
thx alot & God bless U

and how to reactivate the device?

I did not thoroughly read the email that I had been sent from Apple following the upgrade to IOS7,  that I thought was instructing me to carry out certain instructions, including "Erase your device".  In fact it was only advising me details of what is now possible.
    So, silly me an thankyou

  • HT201441 If the previous end-user passed away suddenly and did not leave the password word with anyone, how then can the device be wiped?

My company issues iPads to certain staff for their line of work.  If the previous end-user passed away suddenly and did not leave their iCloud password word with anyone, how then can the device be wiped.  Currently we cannot turn off the iCloud, change the user, update the iOS, nor update our apps.  Can the local Apple Store assist in some way?

I think Winston hit the nail.  I imagine the issue is you allowed the person to set up personal and private accounts on the device, not corporate controlled accounts.  As such, regardless of your ownership of the device, Apple will not release or change personal or private account-related information to you.
Whether they would or not to a direct family member, I do not know, but I highly doubt they will (or legally can) do so to you as the employer for a personal account.
I know such instances have come up in the past with things like company phones and such, both involving Apple as well as other companies.  The reported results in news articles were always that private information is private, and if companies want access or control, then they need to restrict employees use to only corporate provided accounts and services.
