How to turn beep sound on phone keyboard/numbers off

How do i turn the beep noise off when dialing a number, ive never noticed it before and suddenly out of the blue it makes a beep sound when i dial a number.

Go to Settings>Sounds and at the bottom there should be an option for keyboard clicks. If that's on, turn it off and you should be good to go.

I'm reading the manual on line (yes I need to get a life!), but it says that if I turn my "system sounds" to off, there should be no phone noise. It did work in the phone unlock area etc, but when you dial the phone the numbers still have that annoying beep for each number pushed. I've read others say this is a glitch in the phone. Has anyone come up with a solution other than turning the volume down when dialing?

I did some research and the only option found was to lower the volume on your device in order not to have the keyboard make a sound when your touching a key. This is a nice device but does have some limitations in the aspect your requesting it to do.

How to detect beep sounds with AppleScript?

I have a small dilema.
I created a script that I know generates the standard mac error sound a.k.a. beep sound. I want to detect cases where it does not generate. IS there any way to verify with applescript if the beep sound plays at all?
I mean I hear it, but I want it logged as beep sound played/not played.
any ideas are welcome!

You need to generalize the problem to how do you detect an error in another application.
Typically, aplications will return an error code when they find an error. This will cause an excpetion in your applescript app. To detect the error you put the call in a try block.
So what program are you calling?
Did you wrie the other app? If so, return a non-zero error code.

In one of my forms, when I navigate from one particular field to the next, i'm getting 'beep' sound. I have not used the built-in 'Bell' anywhere. This is happening only for one field. This form is developed in forms 6i. Please help me.

This usually means there is an error. Look in the status bar at the bottom of the window for the error.
You need to make sure you have the console window (a module property) pointing to a window that can display the status bar. So if you set it to NULL, then the errors can't be displayed and you get the beep.

You can't turn off the screen as such, but there are ways of playing the audio only from a movie.
On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and set it to "on". I think that works.
Or, you can access the video via the audio/music menu. For instance, if you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you won't be able to see the video but you will hear the audio track.

How To: Turn Windows 8 Automatic Updates on or off

My numerous advanced degrees are not helping me resolve how to process information via Toshiba Service Station.
There is NO Download key tho I am asked to press it to process info for CyberLink Power DVD... . Other updates (I guess) ask me to press the Download/Install button but there is only the Install button.
Am I making a mountain from a molehill? Can someone clarify the processing of "updates" for me. Windows 8.1 is my other system as I am primarily using Linux..

NEED HELP ON HOW TO TURN STATUS BAR OF A JSF PAGE OFF

I need a pop-up within my application where a staff can select his HOD(An hyperlink named HODNAME with text SELECT ) and on click it shows a pop up of a page (allstafflist.jsp) which has table and contains all staff. It has Select link which return name of the HOD to the parent page. My problem is that if I set the url of HODNAME (allstafflist.jsp) and set target to (new window), it shows the page as a pop up and if I select anything it returns what I want but I don�t WANT IT TO HAVE /SEE STATUS BAR.
So I thought of writing a javascript and call the function below on click i.e

So my problem is
1.     how can I make javascript run first on a page so as to disable the status bar.(i.e if it run first on allstafflist and disable its status bar) or
2.     how can I make the pop up from the javasript above not to be disappearing(i.e to appear as pop up and not to appear at the back of the current page)or
3.     how can I set the property or the url to be displayed not to have status bar(i.e if I set the property of hodname i.e url = "/faces/allstafflist.jsp", target="_blank")

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Did you ever get an answer to this question about you not being able to silent your keypad (ten key) tones on your Iphone? I am having this same issue, my boyfriend and i compared our settings and set them exactly the same. His keys are silent, my beep with each one I touch. I can't stand this? Did you ever get it resolved?
