How to turn off apps running in backgrd..not the same in Os7?
Dear All,
I hope this finds everyone in good health! I know the method to turn off backgrd running apps before OS 7 but am not aware if thiscan be done with OS 7?
The usual way is to hit Home button twice then when the apps appear below, hold your finger over the app untilt they start shaking and hit the x. On my iPad 4 when I do so it tels me it will delete the app from the iPad....
Sorry if I missed any posts on this subject.
Thank you all and yes, I am awaiting the new iPad5!
Thank you!

How to turn off apps running in the background on the iPad mini
I am a long time iPhone and Mac user. We just purchesed a new iPad mini. I can't seem to get the apps running in the background to turn off. They won't wiggle, neither will they let me swipe up to remove them. Is there a preference in settings I need to turn on?
Thanks!Close apps

How do I turn off apps running in the background on iOS7?
I just updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7. How do I turn off apps running in the background? Double tapping the home button and turning each one off doesn't work on the updated iOS.
Double click the Home button and "slide" the open apps 'UP" with your finger, they will disappear.

how do i turn off apps running in the background with the new upgrade?
They changed it a bit, but you can still close apps. Double click the Home button to pull up the currently running apps. Side scroll over to the app you want to close, then swipe up on the app *window* (not the icon at the bottom).

My iPad is low on memory and it says to turn off apps running in background . How do I do that
Hello Skittles1202
It sounds like more of the storage of your iPad is full. Plug it into your computer and check in iTunes or on your iPad go to Settings > General > Usage and it will sort out in order of what is taking up the most space. Once you figure that out you can either delete what is not needed or import any photos that you may have to your computer. If you want to close out any application that you may have open previously, then double tap the home button and then swipe up on any app that you want to close

How to turn off programs running in the background in the background on iPad
how to turn off programs running in the background in the background on iPad
Most apps do not run in the background on an iPad. Their stae is kept in memory so that when you start the app again it will load quickly at the location you last used it. But you can remove these apps from the Recently Used list. Here's how:
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Some apps do refresh in the background if you have that Setting turned on. You can control apps there individually or turn off Back Ground App Refresh completely in the Settings App.

How to turn off programs running in the background withiOS7?
I would just add that it is not necessary. The programs referred to are only the recently used programs, and are not "running in the background" with the sometimes exception of GPS apps and music apps. They are simply dormant in the memory. The operating system will remove these programs if the space is required.

Thanks for sharing.

i have an iphone 3gs the old battery was useless so i replaced it with a new battery but it wont hold a charge now it used to charge to old battery but would just turned off if disconnected to its not the dock connecter any advice
Advice:
1. Learn to use punctuation and sentence structure - your post makes little sense.
2. I'm getting the idea you now want to use your old "useless" battery. Why, if it's useless? -
HOW to turn off and MAKE THEM STAY OFF (I use CRAZY setting)
ATK does not seem to work
MANAGE Running apps does not helpThere isnt any way to stop a application from starting back up, if the system thnks it needs the app it will restart it automatically and also some apps that may seem unimportant may be required by another app to run so the system wont allow you to completely disable it..

How to turn off alarms when iCal is not running
iCal-Version 4.0.4 (1395)
Imagine giving a lecture supported by powerpoint in front of an audience, all applications turned off except of powerpoint, and suddenly popping up the iCal alarm message "meet her (xy) in the pub". How can I turn off alarms when iCal is NOT running?
cheers
knattertonHey! I was DJ'ing and an iCal alarm went off even though I'd selected to have alarms not go off when iCal is not running. Now that option isn't there anymore! Can I revert to the previous version of iCal? I don;t see any other new features that are worth not having interruptions during DJ'ing and presentations! I know that if I turn off all alarms, I will forget. I'd create an alarm to remind me to turn it back on, but... This is REALLY annoying.
