You can change the account shortname to whatever you wish to use.
As you can see from my example above. Once you click on the Create User button a new account will be created.
She will need to get her own Apple ID setup so when she starts with iTunes she can open her own iTunes account unless you both want to share the use of the same Apple ID. This can create a bit of confusion if you have your own iPads or iPhones or iPods. As you have discovered it's pretty much one iDevice with one Apple ID.
As for the iTunes library that becomes a more complicated issue.

It could be that the existing wire in your appartment is not clean enough to provision DSL only. When combined with the phone possibly it has a higher line voltage and worked before. Now that the line is to be provisioned without phone service it may be giving them trouble that did not show before they came out and ran the new line test. So a new jack dedecated for your DSL line may require a new wire be run to your appartment. Also the account for internet only used to require direct billing to a credit card or something else. This was a number of years ago. Most accounts are linked to a phone number, and without a voice number it adds to the confusion.
If you are getting the voice and everything turned on as before, then I am at a loss for words.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

If you want to still be able to play content after closing the old computer down, then you will need to import it. Select the content you wish to import and click the import button in the bottom right hand corner of the iTunes home share window.

The only way I can find the album by Rihanna is if I go to the home sharing on my iphone and choose my computer library! I'm getting really frustrated because I don't understand why I can't just have all my music in the music library and nowhere else? Also, all of my music appears to be on the cloud which doesn't make sense to me. Especially because I synced it all from my computer so why do I have to download to my phone again? As for the other part of the question, iTunes syncs with Apple devices.
Simply copy the media desired from the computer to the microSD card. This has nothing to do with iTunes.

Photos does not have a built-in duplicate remover.
Try to restore the Photos library from before you synced and duplicated the photos from your backup.
Most third party duplicate cleaners do not yet work with Photos, but there will be soon one that works with Photos:

Home sharing is nothing to do with account authorisation.
As for downloading apps, you should only download apps from your account, logging into someone elses account to download their apps will result with you being locked out of using your account in iTunes for 90 days.

Having a strange problem. When streaming music and or music videos to my Apple TV from my Mac sometimes the Apple TV seems to loose the stream and the only way I can get it going again is to turn off home share on my Mac and then turn it on again.

I do not have this problem when streaming music/music videos from my IPAD or my Iphone

The speed is probably due to your network, it is quite indirect for mirror/AP.
For the audio, you cannot split audio and video so the audio will play where the video does.

They are also able to view my pictures in "my photo stream". When you created your iCloud account, the @me.com email address you created also automatically became an AppleID, but you used an exisiting AppleID in the first place to create the iCloud account before deciding on that @me.com address. So your iCloud account is actually the AppleID you used to initially create the account, not the @me.com address assigned once the iCloud account was active (look in your account settings on your iPhone or iPad and you can see what the iCloud account primary AppleID is).
Unless you specifically started using your new @me.com address for things, it is an unused AppleID, but it is NOT your iCloud account primary ID (that is whatever AppleID you used to create the iCloud account initially).
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, but it is linked to an AppleID account held with Apple and thus can be used to log in to services including the various Apple stores.

Sorry we got off track and didn't post the main workaround for Frame Edge Highlighting: Keep your hand on the spacebar.

InDesign tries very hard to help you align objects when you drag by snapping them Do you dislike the Frame Edge Highlighting that appears when you mouse over frames in CS5? Spring-loaded tools can help. Frame edge highlighting only appears when you use one of the selection tools. With spring-loaded tools, you can press and hold single keys to temporarily switch to any other tool. As long as you hold the key for more than a second, you'll switch back to your previous tool when you release the key. You have plenty of choices (t, \, p, f, m, n, c, e, g, z, etc).
Holding the spacebar also prevents the highlighting from appearing, and it's a nice big place for your fingers to rest. Heck, you don't even have to pay much attention to where you press--just rest your hand in the middle of the keyboard and lift it up when you want to select something. But don't hold v or a, which are the shortcuts for the selection tools.

There have been several threads on this, including the locked 201-post monster, Frame edge highlighting, and the feature request Allow Frame Edge Highlighting to be turned off, and frame edge highlights on hover.
Basically the takeaway is that it only happens with the selection (V) and direct selection (A) tools, and that multiple people have asked Adobe for a control to turn it off, and they've finally added one, but only in CS5.5, not in a CS5 maintenance release.

This cannot be done. You should simply hide the display from others' view.
iPhone 5S allows you to use your fingerprint instead of the passcode.
