  • How to turn off service led in a SF 6900

    Hello
I have a SF6900 (the big server) and the service yellow light on top of the rack is on.
I can see it on with showplatform on the SC. There are no HW faults in this server. Does anyone know how to turn of this led?
I copied below part of the showplatform in the SC where the frame led is on and prtdiag in the OS 5.9

If I understand your description correctly,
it's the frame manager that has the fault light.
That's an old quirk that is specific to that rack component.
It has (essentially) no impact on whatever systems are installed to the rack.
It is usually just a visual annoyance.
Use your service contract and open a support case with Sun.
That will give them a chance to help you check on everything.
They'll walk you through the correct steps of power-cycling the frame manager.
That can be done while the servers are happily serving.

Have you tried a reset and then tried shutting down after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I upgraded my thinkpad T420 to Windows 8. Everything is good, but the Bluetooth LED light is always turned on. I don't know how to turn it off. Does anyone have same situation?

Yes, unfortunately.  You can turn off the bluetooth led by disabling bluetooth in the bios.  Not very convenient if u use Bluetooth regularly.

Hi guys, recently purchased this motherboard for my i7 4770k and I LOVE IT. BIOS works great and the computer boots up flawless with no errors.
My question is, the motherboard has a red theme to it, and my case is red/black as-well.
However, the mobo has a BLUE LED on it, when it is powered on. I Looked in BIOS but could not find a way to turn it off.
Is there any way to turn this blue LED off? It kind of ruins the red/black theme! :(
    Please let me know,
    Thank you!

Nope , the option is NOT under hardware monitor
There is a "Power LED" option under the "advanced" setting, but it doesn't affect the "blue LED" for the BIOS , only the purple-redish LED for "audio" on the motherboard.....

  • How to turn off number sounds when dialing out?

?  I have the keyboard sound off already, but, when I dial out the numbers are not silent.

The keyboard is just that, ...the keyboard, ....used only for text, email and web.  The phone dialing screen is totally different and is uneffected by any changes you make to the keyboard settings.  The only way to silence the phone when dialing out is to either turn the volume all the way down (not logical) or to engage the mute slide on the side of the phone.  **Warning, ...both options also turn the ringer off or down.  I would like to see apple address this in the next update.  Users don't need to hear these loud numbers.

  • How to turn OFF status LED on VC220?

I'm looking for a way to turn off the status LED on a VC220.  This is not the IR LED, but instead the large blinking LED on the front.
The documentation mentions that it can be turned off, but I can't find a menu option for this.
    Thanks for your help!

    Status LED
    Indicates the following status:
LED Off—The power is off or the LED status is turned off.
Flashing green in one second intervals—The camera and network is functioning.
Steady orange—The camera can’t detect a networking signal; thus the camera is not functioning. For example, the Ethernet cable is not attached.
Flashing orange—The PIR sensor noted movement. Flashing green rapidly—The firmware is being
    upgraded.
Flashing orange rapidly—The camera’s default settings are being restored.
Alternating flashing green and orange—Video has been lost.

    Joe,
Use the Network Setting > IP Setting page to set the IP address and other related
    settings. When you complete the configuration, click Save to save the settings;
otherwise click Cancel to discard the changes.
    • Disable LED Operators—Select to disable the LED illuminators. You may
choose to do this if you don't want to alert others that the network camera is
on. Use the Network Setting > IP Setting page to set the IP address and other related
    settings. When you complete the configuration, click Save to save the settings;
otherwise click Cancel to discard the changes.

  • How to turn off Wi-Fi when I leave home?

I like to have Wi-Fi on when I'm home.
However, when I'm not at home, I'd like to have it off, to save battery - and back on when I return.
Is there a way to do this using Siri (disappointingly - I'm pretty sure not) or to do it using location-based services - similar to location-based reminders ("Remind me to feed the cat when I get home")?
I'd rather not have to manually edit Settings->Wi-Fi all the time.
    Thanks.

as far as i know there isnt way to turn off the wifi..however u can go to tools-settings-connection-wireless LAN -show availability -never
this way it saves the battery of your phone and keeps u away from unwanted connection
    try out!!!

  • Satellite A660-11M how to turn off the screen when I'm downloading?

i just want to know how to trurn off the screen for save energy and protect the screen, someone tell me please! thanks a lot !

If you are ready to switch off, put to standby/sleep mode you laptop by pressing alt-F3-F4 or through menu, then I recommend you set in power options "when I close the lid-do nothing". In that case closing the lid will switch off the screen for downloading time.

well, every time when i switch record button it always asks me where to save recorded data.
My point exactly. By not permitting Logic to establish a functional folder sturucture, you ask for a lot more mouseclicks and distractions than necessary.
so thanks but i still don't know how to avoid that "save as"
Do as I said, save it once and live happily ever after.
