How to turn off the setting that let you type on the desktop?

i'm using late 2012 mountain lion imac. here's the problem: when i click on the desktop when start typing, a little text box will pop up. and when i play call of duty black ops, that text box pops up again when i hit a d s w instead of moving back and forth and left and right. can somebody help me please?

i had modified hosts file to deactive adobe photoshop cs6 activation, but i recently modified it back to original. this is everything in the hosts file now

Vendors of proprietary software want to track everything you do. Adobe says that it is possible to turn off sending info to them, but doesn't include any info on how to do it.

Got it! Thanks so much. A little more detail for the benefit of others: you'll find the addressing area resize handle immediately above the white text area, in the narrow part of the grey area below all of the address field, subject line, scroll boxes and icons.

There used to be an option on the home screen of the store that let you look at lists of songs made by users - what happened to this feature??

On the home screen of the itunes store on the right hand side - there used to be an option that let you choose songlists - lists of certain songs made by itunes users - for example workout songs, love songs, date night songs, songs to run by ....

I believe this was part of the iTunes "Ping" feature, which has been removed since iTunes 11.

How to turn off terminal sevices spaning of multiple monitors on the fly

I have terminal services 2012 installed with all my users accessing it through rdweb. I have span turned on so that it uses both monitors. This works great and takes care of 99% of my users.
I have a couple of users that have a requirement where they need to be ale to turn off the use of the second monitor so that they can run apps locally. Is there a way that a user can change the setting on the fly to only use a single monitor rather
then having both used by TS so that they can have their local app up as well as their TS session?

From your comment, it seems that your user are using multiple monitor with launching the RemoteApp program through a TS Web Access portal. If this is the case then sorry to inform you that there is no way for him\her to turn this functionality off for a particular
client computer from client side.
But if manually pushed RDP file then client can edit the rdp file and can solve the issue and if the user doesn’t have the enough rights then administrator can also edit his .rdp file by adding “span monitors:i:0” inside the
RDP file.

You can set set the location bar autocomplete to "Nothing":

You are wright the index file is 308 KB.
And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)

Firefox is fine on my laptop but on my desktop I went through a routine attempting to remove the Yahoo toolbar. I was able to do that but now I have an issue with my desktop settings for Firefox. Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

I can't find the bar that lets you do things in photoshop

my version of photoshop cs6 seems to be missing the entire bar that allows you to work? the one with the open, window, file and edit buttons. I use a 13 inch macbook pro, is it something to do with my screen size or my copy of photoshop?

Are you talking about packets to be sent by mail and you need to weigh them, or internet packets and their sizes/quantities? I can't see how an iOS device can possibly weigh something, but try doing a search in the itunes app store.

I unchecked the bar at the page top which has my bookmarks, and the bar that lets me type in new addresses. Now, I cant get them back on my page - any help? Thanks!
