  • How to turn off battery percentage on iphone 4 ?

    Hi,
Got the new iphone 4 recently. Since the initial set up the battery percentage icon is on. I tried to turn it off through settings- general-usage-battery percentage. But it still shows up. I even rebooted the phone by holding home button and power button. Still the same. How to make my phone not to show the battery percentage? Please help. I am thinking of apple store visit for this but would like to try some fixes before going there.

I just figured it out! I just got my iPhone 4 and restored it from the backup of my once jailbroken iPhone 3G. Same problem as you guys. Was about to restore from scratch but...
    Check it out:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
You will have to change back a few of your settings but problem solved.

Note that % battery on an iPod is not accurate. You will see large fluctuations in % battery and that is normal

Is your iPad's storage nearly full?
Check Settings > General > Usage and see how much free space you have left.  Is it at least 15% of your total storage space?

  • How do I set battery percentage? I tried doing it on my iPod touch5 but it didn't work.

Hi, I want to show the battery percentage on my iPod touch 5. I tried but it didn't work. I went to settings then usage then it didn't show battery percentage. How do I fix it?

Likely you can't since that is not a feature for the iPods. See:

  • Turning off Battery Percentage iOS7

Hi there, quick question. I'm trying to turn off the battery percentage but no matter what I do, it won't go away. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a fix to it?
Any and all suggestions welcome. Also, sorry if this is a common occurance but I did Google it before hand and found a little less than nothing (that was relevant, anyhow).
    Thanks again.
Not a clue if this matters but my phone was jailbroken up until I updated to the newest iOS.

My device is no longer jailbroken. It is counted as a regular, run of the mill iPhone. Yes, I've voided my warranty, should I ever have had one, but I'm still able to post about my iPhone as it's no longer jailbroken. I merely added in the fact that it used to be jailbroken incase it was relevant information.
Doesn't matter. Once your phone was jailbroken at any time it is pretty much jailbroken forever. Just because you restore it doesn't mean it wipes out all traces of the jailbreak.

  • How to stop the battery draining on iphone4 with ios7?

I updated to ios 7 last week and am now starting to have battery problems with it.
I charged my phone this morning and by about 5:45pm my phone was completely dead.  It was fully charged at 6am and was down to 60% by 10am without me even using it.  I clicked the home button maybe a few times to check the time but that was it.
I also double checked all apps were closed except for the home screen.  I looked up tips for conserving the battery last night and changed to all those setting to hopefully get longer life out of the battery but apparently to no avail.
It also apparently takes just about forever to charge the thing now.  Almost like it's using a lot of the battery while charging it.  I had wonderful battery life while using ios6 and understand it won't be the same with 7.0 but 12 hour battery life is pretty bad.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • I've seen on apple's pictures of the ipod 5th generation that it has a battery percentage. Yet i can't find out how to turn it on? does anyone know how to?

When looking on the apple website and iTunes you can see that the picture of the ipod touch 5th gen has a battery percentage indicator but i can't seem to fing the option to turn it on?! Is there actually an option or has apple just added a feature in the photo in which the ipod dosen't contain?

The 5G does not come with a % battery in upper right. The phtos were incorrect. You may be able to add it by:

However, % battery is not accurate on an iPod

  • HT1338 How do I turn of battery recharge when on  a plane (Macbook Pro Retina)?

    Hi,
I would like to know how to turn off battery recharge when on a plane.
Every time I plug it in, the power goes down because recharging the battery consumes too much power for the outlet on the Boeing 747.
Previously I would just take the battery out of my laptop. Obvioulsy that is not possible anymore on a MacBook Pro!
    Thanks
    Christoph

I agree it's an interesting problem, but I believe it is technically possible. The man page for 'pmset' has this tantalasing clue:
Certain Apple battery calibration tools may temporarily disable battery charging, even though your Apple portable is plugged into AC power. Such tools will never surprise you with this behavior; you will know it's happening. This state will be reflected in an additional line of output to 'batt' or 'ps' readings, including the pid of the app inducing this behavior.
             'ChargeInhibit':    1432
Changing the power assertion of 'ChargeInhibit' from 0 to 1 can therefore be done programmatically. However, no Terminal or AppleScript tricks are going to work for this one  - it loooks like it's something that needs to be written in Cocoa.
That leads to two suggestions, both of them a bit woolly I'm afraid:
    1. Try asking over on the Apple Developers forum (where the cocoa programmers hang out)
    2. Try searching for one of those 'battery calibration tools' mentioned above, or a 3rd party battery management app. I did try a couple of searches, but didn't turn up anything promising. Maybe you'll have better luck.

  • How to get battery percentage

How do I get battery percentage on iPod touch?

    See: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18492152#18492152
However, due to the nature of the iPod's battery, the percentage will probably jump around a lot and it won't always have an accurate reading.
