How to turn on confirm delete message in iPhoto

i wanted to find out how I can turn on that feature that asks you to confirm to delete a photo before sending it to the trash. It was doing it in the beginning, but then I accidently clicked do not ask me again and I can't seem to find where I can turn that feature back on. This is for the iphoto application.

I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on a Mac mini (Late 2012), 2.3 GHz, 4 GB memory, iPhoto version 9.5.1 (902.17). I get the "screen resolution not optimal for iPhoto" warning repetitively about once every 15 minutes as long as iPhoto is running.
Is there a reason, why you do not update to the Yosemite compatible version iPhoto 9.6? I never get the warning, you are reporting, if the iPhoto window can fit the screen, with MacOS X 10.10.2 and iPhoto 9.6.1.

Huh? You can't. Once you delete something, well it's deleted.
If you have a backup, that contains these deleted messages, you can restore from that backup, to restore them to your phone. If no backup, or your backup has been overwritten, then they are gone.

First, setup a different ID for your wife so you can maintain independent contacts, messages, icloud backups, etc. There is no cost, and it will keep you from having another disappearing contact issue again.
You can't retrieve contacts that have been deleted. The addresses you see are cached and can simply be added back as new contacts once you each have your own independent ID set up on each phone.
You can however use 1 Apple ID for your iTunes and App Store purchases so you don't need to pay twice for the same apps.

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

IF the message that you deleted is in a backup, restoring the backup should bring the message back. Be aware that when you restore a backup, you restore everything in that backup to your device. If your backup is one month old, you will be turning back the clock one month on your iPad with regard to app data, settings, camera roll photos, etc, - if you restore that backup.
Do not backup the iPad before you restore the backup, or you will simply be restoring a backup that no longer includes the message that you deleted.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
You cannot hide your contacts in the contacs app, if that is what you are asking how to do.

Firstly you DO NOT have to do a factory reset / wipe device, it is simply not required to get the space back!!
Mine had 3GB and I just got rid of it all, here is how:
METHOD ONE:
Make a backup in iTunes
open iBackupBot (Google it)
Go to the relevant backup
Click on Multimedia File Manager and click on the other Multimedia files tab
Sort by filename by clicking the Filename tab
Find MediaDomain/Library/SMS/Attachments and highlight all of them, then press delete. You can also click to export to a folder of your choice, if you want to save them that is.
Then go to System Files>MediaDomain>Library>SMS>Attachments
They will be all listed here, highlight them all and press delete
Then just restore that backup using iTunes!
Tadaa! Space recovered, your messages are still there but without the attachments! METHOD TWO:
Backup your device in iTunes and then to iCloud
Go to Settings>iCloud and toggle Documents & Data to OFF
Then do a 2nd backup to iTunes and iCloud
Then restore the device from iCloud and the message attachments should be gone, turn Documents & Data back on again in the settings
PLEASE NOTE: Method two is a much longer process but some users may feel more comfortable with this method.
P.S You may want to make two backups in case you get any of the above steps wrong, but it is simple to follow the above and not do anything wrong!
P.P.S You could also just go through every single conversation and delete the attachments one by one, but if you have hundreds or thousands of attachments, this will take a VERY LONG TIME!!!

Well, that says it.... if I select a message, say, to delete it because the subject line says "If you open this message, your computer will be instantly infected with every known malware" - - woops! the Thunderbird setup just opened it.

you can do it in in Mail too if your account is IMAP. select a mailbox you want to use for Sent in the IMAP section of your account in the lower section of the sidebar. then go to mailbox menu->use this mailbox for->sent.

In iTunes 11 you have the option to turn the Sidebar and the Status Bar on or off; they are off by default. To do this in the menus, go to:

Once you have the device selected, navigate to the Music pane and either uncheck the box for Sync Music to remove all of the music on your iPod shuffle or select Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and only check the choices you want.
