How to turn the iphone off ?

I want to turn the power off? Is this possible?

Alternate, undocumented power off option: Place under tire of parked automobile, start vehicle and drive fowward two feet.
Your welcome,
Dave
PS I have not been able to figure out the power on for this undocumented power off option. I do know it isn't: place iphone under rear of tire of parked automobile, start vehicle and drive in reverse two feet. I'll let you know when I have figured this out.

  • Why does MMS work only after turning the iPhone off and on for iOS6?

I got the new iPhone 5. When sending/recieving pictures i have to turn the phone off and then on. For sending, it works for about 5 minutes and then i can't send anymore. I tried turning wifi off and leaving data on, turning LTE and wifi off with data still on, and other combinations. The only time it works is when i just turned it on.

The message you are seeing is telling you that you do not have enough storage on your device.  That has nothing to do with iCloud storage.
iCloud storage is storage on Apple's servers hosting your online iCloud account.  The storage on your device is local and cannot be expanded - it is whatever you bought with the device (16GB, 32GB, 64GB).
You need to delete things on your device to increase free space on the device itself.
For example, if you have a lot of pictures in your camera roll, you need to sync those to your computer's photo management software and storage, then delete them from you iPad.
You can delete apps you no longer need or use.  You can delete messages you no longer read or use.
Bottom line is you need to remove stuff from the iPad itself to free up more space.

  • How to turn the data off

I just got my first Blackberry Z10. I am experinecing extreme high data usage although Wi-Fi is available. How can I turn the data off to control my usage? can't find it...

IN your Settings (swipe down from the top bezel on the homescreen) > Network Connections> Mobile Network > your carrier > you can turn off data services and still retain WiFi data transmission.
However, as stated above, if WiFi is connected, it will always be the preferred data pipe even if the mobile network data is ON.

  • How to turn the 8900 off (completely) before boarding a plane

Is there an antenna On/Off feature?  Thanks.

What I do to comply with FAA and airline regs in the US:
    1. When asked to turn your device off by the crew, go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network, and UNcheck your carrier connection.
    2. Press the RED key about 3-5 seconds until you are notified the device is powering down.
When you are in the air, and notified that electronic devices are ok to use,
    3. Press the RED key again to power up the device. It will turn on with the radio OFF, which is what you want.
    4. Upon being notified of landing or when asked by the crew, turn the device off again using the RED key.
    5. When you land,  turn the device on once again using the RED key, and then return to Manage Connections and re-enable your Mobile Network.

  • How Can  Turn the Sound off When Leaving a Slide?

I have a slide with an FLV in it but the audio stays on when
I leave the slide. How do I fix that?
    THX

You can't turn off the screen as such, but there are ways of playing the audio only from a movie.
On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and set it to "on". I think that works.
Or, you can access the video via the audio/music menu. For instance, if you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you won't be able to see the video but you will hear the audio track.

  • HELP PLEASE~How to turn the buzz off my iSight iMacG5...

    Hi all,
I seriously need some help here. I've got my iMac 20" couple weeks ago, and it was quiet at first. I didn't hear the buzz sound coming from the middle left until maybe about 3~5 days. Now my roommate just got a 17" iSight iMac, which is whisper quiet. I still can hear the fan or air goes in and out from her machine but it is totally acceptable unlike mine...
I thought it was due to the upgrade to 10.4.3, so I reinstalled the OS again but the sound's still there. I then took it to a mac store to examine it. This evening a techincian told me it normally functions in a quiet room and he thinks everything's right, so I took it back but the sound's still there...
Few iMac 20" users here also have the same buzz problems like mine. I really hope it becomes as quiet as the first time I got it, so please let me know if you have any ideas to solve this...The buzz really annoys me especially when I don't hear anything from my roomate's...
Any input will be much appreicated. Thank you.

Why don't try reseting the SMU here are the Directions on how to do it.
The SMU (System Management Unit) is a microcontroller chip on the logic board that controls all power functions for your computer. If your computer is experiencing any power issue, resetting the SMU may resolve it. The SMU controls several functions, including:
Telling the computer when to turn on, turn off, sleep, wake, idle, and so on.
Handling system resets from various commands.
    Controlling the fans.
Note that resetting the SMU does not reset the PRAM. Resetting the SMU will not resolve issues in which your computer is unresponsive—in these situations, restarting your computer will generally suffice. If your computer isn't responding, perform these steps one at a time, in this order, until the issue has been resolved:
    Force Quit (Option-Command-Escape).
    Restart (Control-Command-Power).
Force Shut Down (press the power button for 10 seconds).
Resetting the SMU can resolve some computer issues such as not starting up, not displaying video, sleep issues, fan noise issues, and so on. If your computer still exhibits these types of issues even after you've restarted the computer, try resetting the SMU. To reset the SMU on an iMac G5 (Ambient Light Sensor) computer, simply do the following:
Turn off the computer by choosing Shut Down from the Apple menu, or by holding the power button until the computer turns off.
Unplug all cables from the computer, including the power cord.
    Wait 10 seconds.
Plug in the power cord while simultaneously pressing and holding the power button on the back of the computer.
Let go of the power button.
Press the power button once more to start up your iMac.
Unlike earlier iMac G5 computer models, the iMac G5 (Ambient Light Sensor) and iMac G5 (iSight) computers do not have a button on the main logic board for resetting the SMU. This eliminates the need to remove the computer's back cover to reset the SMU.
    Post back, Miguel

  • How to turn the airport off when not in use

My airport network is currently running 24/7. I'm away from home a large part of the day. Is there a way to disable it, and then re-enable w/o unplugging it from the wall?
    Thanks.

Home Depot and Lowes have simple electronic timers that plug into the AC socket that will allow you to set auto ON/OFF times. The Express would plug right into the device.

  • How do you turn the cloud OFF on an iPhone 4s?

How do you turn the cloud OFF on an iPhone 4s? I don't use the cloud, but my phone keeps telling me there's not enough storage to back my phone up.

iCloud is probably being used to store your Contacts so perhaps you really just want to turn off iCloud backups. Use the Settings app.
Settings > iCloud > Turn off Backup
After you turn off iCloud backup be sure to initiate some other backup strategy. Backing up to iTunes is a good alternative.

  • How do I turn the flashlight off on my iPhone 5?

How do I turn the flashlight off on my iPhone 5?

It’s quite easy to enable or disable flashlight on your iPhone, all you need to do is swipe up from the bottom to access the Control Center, and tap on the Flashlight icon.
There is a much easier way to turn it off from the lock screen, without accessing the Control Center. Simply tap or slide up on the camera icon at the bottom right corner of the screen to turn it off. It’s a much faster way to turn it off. Since iPhone’s Camera needs to accesses LED flash, it automatically turns off the flashlight feature.  Even when the iPhone is unlocked, I find it easier to press the Sleep/Wake button and tap on the camera icon to turn it off.

When I try to turn my iPhone off, it automatically restarts itself. It has never done this before; does anyone know why it might be doing this/how to stop it happening?

This had happened to me today as well. I gave constantly tried resetting it, (I don't particularly want to restore it), but earlier did you find that your headphones went funny? Mine would stop playing music, but the phone would keep going. And if I paused it, and then pressed play, No sound would come out. And if I took the headphones out while it was paused it would play on the device, but as before, not through the headphones. But, I fixed it (temporarily) by pulling the headphones out while it was playing, and plugged them back it. But normally this would pause the music, and it didn't, just continued on the phone, with no sound coming out of the speakers. And it would only last for a couple of minutes and happen again. Then I tried resetting the phone, and it wouldn't turn off. Them I fixed the turn off problem by placing on a dock, and I think this also fixed the headphone problem. But then I took it off and then on the dock, and now it won't play through the dock (but it charges) and it won't turn off, again!
Also, apples customer serivice is plainly crap. This should be easy to fix. And I shouldnt have to pay a fee to ring them up for service help.
