How to type fractions in iWork(Pages)?

Hey Everybody,
I am bascially trying to write formulas and they need to be shown in fractions and I am not able to find out. And basically the formulas are text which need written as A/B
Some one please help me

1. While in Pages, go to the Edit Menu and choose "Special Characters."
2. Click on the Setup and a Character Window Appears:
3. Place a check beside "Digits 1." This will add it to your Special Characters list.
4. Once added, click on the Digits 1 list. Your options are shown. You can drag the fraction you need onto your page or copy/paste.
If you use fractions frequently, you can add them to your "Favorites" in the Setup of Special Characters.

How to type vietnamese in this page?

I use facebookfirefox page. Although i had install unikey, i still can not type vietnamese in this page. So, pls tell the way to type vietnamese in this page

After I upgraded to FF 11 I can't type Vietnamese accent anymore. It's the same installation for as long as I remember. I wonder if I just installed Comcast Guard and Norton so they tried to intercept Unikey and consider Unikey as keyboard capture.

I don't know how to type fraction, can anyone help me? I need the verticle style, not 1/2.

How to find a iwork (pages) document?

Ok, I forget, but I type in .pages in spotlight and get 1024 hits many, if not most are NON Iwork Page files, so how is it again where I type to show only PAGES documents?
I thought it was something like PROGRAM pages .pages.

In iWork Pages 5.1, how do I eliminate the word "text" which appears in the Text Box, when I've used a color filler and no words?

Select the text and delete.
If you don't want text in the box, don't use a text box ie in Shapes there are various shapes. Select one without 'T'.

Spell check function in my iworks pages does not work, how do I fix this?

I have a new IMac (intel) and I am struggling learning to use the ipage part of the iwork suite. There does not appear to be a spell check feature working, since I'm trying to create some new documents, this is a real hassle. And does anyone know how to do a cut and paste of images from the web. I'm doing a presentation, have permission to use the photos and can't get it to work!! sigh I beginning to think I should have paid the xtra bucks and bought the window suite version, at least I know where they hid the bells and whistles in that one.

If there is an image on a website you want to use locally on your computer usually just dragging the image from the web page anywhere on your desktop is enough to copy the image. You can then drag the image from the desktop anywhere you want.
Alternatively you can right-click (or hold down the control key and regular click on the image) on the image and then choose "Copy Image. You can then perform an Edit > Paste into a Pages document for example.

how do one rename a document created with iwork pages?

So the "Rename" command is not supposed to work? It is a dead link and crashes Pages.
Where did Pages save the file that I wanted to put into the folder of related documents. Please bring back "save as" or ask where we want the file saved. How else can I find it later?

iWork has got a version for Mac and another for iOS. You have purchased iWork for Mac, so you can install it for free in all your Macs, but you haven't purchased iWork for iOS.
You have to purchase iWork because the iPhone and iPad use a different operating system than the Mac and there are different versions

Everything appears in reverse that is white type on a black page how can I fix this?

Using Acrobat reader 11.0.07 on a MacBook Air running 10.9.5. Everything appears as white type on a black page. It prints correctly but I cannot view it as anything but a negative. How can I resolve this?

First thing I would try is to update to 11.0.09.

Iworks pages is not allowing my to type in a new blank document.

I am currently a college student who has reports to write ALL the time. I am use my MacBook Pro for all my school assignments, until recently Iworks Pages has been giving me problems. I click on pages then on blank document and I try to type and nothing shows up. If someone can PLEASEE help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it. If I am unable to get to another computer to do my assignment I must open a previous assignment and type over it. Thank you guys for your time, I hope someone has an answer for me.

Are you aware of that there are two types of blank documents? Word Processing and Page Layout. You have click on the latter which uses text Boxes for text. Set in the Pages Preferences to automatically open the WP blank template!

stevejobsfan is correct; iwork for ios is free only for new purchases of new ios devices. A good work around (if you have wifi connectivity) is going to the icloud website on your ipad, and working on your document.
A word of caution (the real reason I am responding to your post). If you do a lot of 'formatting' of a document on iwork for mac, and then save it in icloud; you will probably loose most of the formatting you have done (this will be true if you oppen the document in iwork for ios; also) It happened to me, and I did not duplicate the document before saving it to icloud; I lost at least an hours worth of work.

Many images from the web can be saved to the iPad's camera roll by tapping and holding on the image itself. A dialog box pops up with "Save Image" as one of the options.
Facebook handles some images slightly differently, since it's trying to respect its users' privacy preferences. If the tap and hold trick doesn't work, the image may have a "Download" link beneath it and to the right. If you tap the "Download" link, you'll then see a bare version of the image in Safari. You can then tap and hold *that* image to save it to the iPad's camera roll.
