How to UN-SYNC devices ?
How can I UN-SYNC connected mobile devices ? This is needed when device is lost.. (F-Secure KEY)
The only way to disconnect the device is to make password backup, then remove local storage on all the devices, then import the passwords and connect the devices you would like to have connected (excluding lost/stolen one).
But in general, what’s the point in this? You password collection is still protected by the master password, and even not-connected device will have all passwords in place.

Every time I try to sync my iPod Touches, I am told that I cannot, because there is insufficient memory. I recently added more through paying for more through iCloud. I tried again to sync my devices and was given the same msg.
I apparently have 42G of memory available out of a total of 50g, so I fail to understand why I am told that there is not enough memory.
Can anyone help please? I am a teacher and use my two iPod Touches, my iPad2 and my MacBook Pro with my class so it is important to be able to sync my devices and have them up to date.

Suzanne SpiersGo to your Contacts on your Mac - if more than one pick the most accurate; delete any contacts you don't want. Select all the contacts, and from the File menu choose 'Export...'>'Export vCard'. Save the resultant file safely: it will be your 'master' list.
Now delete all the contacts from whichever device has the most in it. Sync with iCloud. If necessary repeat with different Macs. The result should be that the deletions sync to iCloud and in the end you finish up with empty Contacts lists everywhere.
Now you can import your saved file to one of your Macs. Make sure you import it under 'iCloud' not 'On My Mac'. Then it should propagate iCloud and any other devices. Keep the saved file at least until you are satisfied that all is in order. -
My itunes account doesn't list "devices" above the playlist, as the syncing instructions give. How can I sync the itunes I have purchased & downloaded to my computer, to my ipod shuffle? The device is plugged into my computer, but nothing happens. Shouldn't the computer recognize the device? It doesn't. Please help!
As a test, shut down your computer and disconnect ALL USB devices. Do this procedure to Reset the shuffle

Start up computer with nothing connected, except for standard keyboard and mouse (if it's not a laptop). Run iTunes. Connect shuffle to a direct USB port on the computer. See if there's any improvement,
If the shuffle is now recognized, there may have been a USB device conflict previously, or maybe all of the devices connected at the same time overloads the USB bus (for power). An iPod charges its battery while connected, so it is a high-power USB device. -

Before these purchases, I was using a Windows 7 laptop to manage my iTunes library and iTunes purchases. Devices can only sync to one library at a time. You can, however, have multiple copies of libraries on different computers though it can be tricky making sure they are always synchronized. You can put your Windows iTunes on your Mac.
Moving a library: Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive. Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes. At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.
When this is to a new computer put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.) -
We have just moved from MobileMe, where we had a 'Family account' (and we each have our own @me.com email addresses) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way! Please help.
According the this: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html, "After moving to iCloud, family member accounts are no longer linked to the master account." You can share an iCloud calendar (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690), but I don't think you will be able to share iCloud contacts unless you are signed into the same iCloud account on both phones.

I need help syncing my Ipad. Our family uses one apple account for multiple devices... how do I sync my ipad without getting all my daughters apps? How do I know which of my apps need to be synced to the computer?
Simply select only the apps that you want to sync to your iPad and then sync. You can control what syncs to the iPad. You may be best served by turning off auto sync.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK.
Connect your iPad to the computer.
Launch iTunes
Click on the iPad name on the left side under the Devices heading.
Click on the Apps Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Click on only the apps that you want to sync in the list of apps under the Sync Apps heading.
Make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked.
Click on Apply in the lower corner of iTunes. -
How do I sync multiple devices on iTunes (iPad Air & iPhone 5) without apps that are only on an iPad Air not syncing on my iPhone 5? I have apps on the iPad that I do not want on the iPhone, but when I sync my iPhone I have apps that are on the iPad sync to it also. If both accounts are authorised on the computer's iTunes that you sync them to, and the relevant apps are on that computer, then you should be able to sync them to both devices. The apps will be tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded them, so only that account will be able to download updates to them.

You need OSX 10.7.2 or higher in order to access icloud. The mobile me account is now defunct (it closed down more than a year ago).

I need help. I have ADE on 4 devices and currently over 2000 books. How do I sync all the devices so I don't spend all my time doing this manually. I have had ADE before, on my Palm, but it crashed and ADE didn't have a mobile app at the time, so I gave up on it. I discovered that Amazon had removed books from my Kindle library because they were, they say, no longer available, but I bought them, they were mine and I consider their removal as theft. I decided to get a Kobo and discovered that it's primary format is ePUB, si I re-activated my Digital Editions. But, in order for me to keep using it and having my ebooks handy when I want to read them, no matter where I am or what device I have available, I need to be able to put things on one device and have them sync to all the others. How do I do this? Does anyone know? All help and suggestions gratefully recieved.

How can I sync my iPad to a computer after syncing it to the iCloud? I have the option of setting it up new, or restoring to a sync from many months ago. I dont want to lose any apps but I would like to back up on computer. No auto sync like other devices.
Plug it into your computer. Tell it to sync with "this computer" instead of iCloud. You shouldn't have to remove any apps. Otherwise, you can save the app data by using i-FunBox ( http://www.i-funbox.com/ ) just go to the "devices" tab and select 'user applications' and select all of your apps and tell iFunBox to "copy to pc" you're done! You have them all backed up.

An iCloud email account is an IMAP account. With an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account. Unless you have changed the Mailbox Behaviors with the account settings on each device, the account's Drafts, Sent Mailbox, and Deleted Mailbox are stored on the server with each device. Any user created mailboxes are also stored on the server.
On each device, go to Settings > iCloud. Contacts and Calendars need to be turned on for over the air syncing.
