Settings>Safari>Block Pop-ups>Off. This allows pop ups in Safari. If you set to On - that will not allow pop ups in Safari.

Assuming you're using Safari, go to Safari>Preferences...>Security. Uncheck the pop-up box. Or the pop-up option might just be in Safari menu (I forgot I haven't use Leopard for awhile).

MacPro Even though I unblock pop ups in security they are still blocked
In Spanish ( this is how works my system) POP ups call emerging windows (Ventanas Emergentes).
Once I blocked on the area Safari- preferences- security this line, however once I got back to this and unblocked it,
now happens to be blocked no matter that I reversed this.
Many pages like banks, etc. can not continue because of this.
I also have re installed Safari and problem continues..... What shall I do to correct this and free pop ups?

I seem to have a bit of an issue on my MacBook Pro with pop-ups. I use Google Chrome and I thought this was a Chrome issue. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it, but when I used Safari to re-install, I had pop-ups come up on Safari, so it isn't a Chrome issue.
I am unsure if this is a Java plug-in issue or what, but I'm getting pop-ups everywhere and I do work quite a lot on my MacBook. I keep getting pop-ups such as MacKeeper, Purifier, EuroMillionaire, etc. I noticed I had MacKeeper and removed it. I will admit, I was working rapidly on Friday afternoon and I think I may have disabled Java or something. I am not sure how to go to the settings and adjust this.
Please let me know how I can erase this. I've had this MacBook since late 2008 and haven't had this issue. I am on OS X 10.9.5 if that matters. Should I delete all these files???Only remove the ones Linc listed; if doing so doesn't remove the adware, keep only the items relating to software you'd like on the computer. Mac OS X doesn't itself put any files in it.

I installed Firefox 4. Now when I go to look at my emails I cannot open them. I've called my provider and they can, so it has to be something with this computer. I've checked all the settings I can think of- unblocked the pop-ups, cleared anything I can think of.
OK there is a solution to opening the .asp files in Dreamweaver whith a double click. The clue was here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6091711#6091711 for PC users.
HERE IS THE MAC EQUIVALENT: in the Finder, RIGHT CLICK any .asp file. select "Get Info" Select "Adobe Dreamweaver CC" it may not show up at first, you will have the option to locate it in the Applications folder.
DON'T FORGET to click the button below: "Change All" forcing ALL .asp files to open within Dreamweaver. *note: I tried everything else listed, including installing the "ASPNet_Support.zxp" extension found in "DisabledFeatures" in the "Configuration" folder, which did cause the icons inside of Dreamweaver to actually appear as DW docs. However try the finder option first it may be the quick fix.

This is either a hack of that site, if the problem occurs only with that site, or you are on a compromised network, most likely a hacked wireless router. See:

I have pop-ups blocked and want to keep it that way, however I would like to disable the pop-up blocking on certain websites. I know how to do this in IE for Windows, but do not know how to do this in Safari on my MAC.
