We have deployed "Internet Explorer 11" application through SCCM 2012 console .the deployed application was customized using "Internet Explorer customization wizard 11" tool.
issue:
we are getting "install new versions automatically" check box as checked
when we see from help about "about internet Explorer"
seeking solution:
how to uncheck "install new versions automatically" check box from SCCM 2012 console.
please let me know if we have any solution for this instant

For option: "install new versions automatically", we can simply prevent it via GPO or registry (the registry entry can also be deployed via GPO)
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Internet Explorer - Install new versions of Internet Explorer automatically
Or

You have to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change to add to the base code or as a bug fix within an existing Operating System. Such as the .8 added to 10.5.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
10.5 Leopard was based on Power PC code and was written to be able to run on both Power PC and Intel processors.
10.6 Snow Leopard has completely rewritten code and only runs on Intel Macs.
10.7 Lion used some 32 bit which allows it to run on Late 2006 through Early 2008 MacBooks and a lot of 64 bit code.
10.8 Mountain Lion is pure 64 bit, which excludes more systems than Lion did. It can only run on the Late 2008 through Mid 2010 MacBooks. It's not something you can add memory to, for example, as it involves the base architecture.
You have to upgrade to 10.6.8 to be able to download iTunes 10.7 or 11. The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is back in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. After installing the newer version of flash player it caused troubles to me, and I don't see any way but to install an older version of Flash Player, however after I have installed it the game forces me to Install the newest version of Flash Player, otherwise it cannot run. So here is my question. How can I use an older version of Flash Player I had before without installing the newer version of it?

Hi, You can go to this test site to see if you have Flash Player Installed on your 10.6.5 Mac.

Flash Player is a browser plugin and as long as your browser is supported by Adobe Flash Player, then you shouldn't have any problem.

I am not computer savy. sorry. I have downloaded from your Firefox.com and still show Internet Explorer at the top of my screen. Before I take that icon off my desktop I need to know how to get the Firefox on there and be able to use it. I have google as my home page. Can that stay for my home page? I cannot use this until I get help. might have to have someone of my friends come and help me get this functional. I really was wanting to change from IE cause it is so slow.

I use Firefox 2.0.0.20 on Solaris 9 Sparc, but I couldn't install any verions of Firefox major version 3.
There is a great site, http://www.sunfreeware.com/mozilla.html, that looks it has a possibles version compatibles whit my OS, but the links don`t work.
Any suggestions?

How do I install on computer with corrupted internet Explorer?

Computer cannot get online because IE is corrupted. I would like to install firefox. How can I download the file to work around this issue?

Do you have access to another computer with an internet connection? If so, you can download the latest FF version to a USB or other portable device and then install it to your PC.
Do the following:
Go to [[http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html]]
You will find a grid with all of the different languages that FF comes in.
Select "english (US)" and click on the "download" link for your operating system. You will go to another page where it states that your download will begin automatically.
You should then see a message box come up and ask if you want to save the file. Click on "Save File" and save it to whatever device you are using to transfer it to your PC.
Take the device with the file and plug it into your computer. Using "My Computer," navigate to the device and double-click on the file. It will then start the FF installation process. Follow the on-screen directions from there. The file is about 8.2Mb so allow yourself enough space on your device.

I use "From Internet Explorer" to store my new bookmarks but they do not show up in my "Favorites" - where are they?

When I changed from IE7 to Firefox (and am very glad I did) I migrated my large list of Favorites (which was divided into sub-headings to make it easier to find items) to Firefox Bookmarks. As I continued to bookmark web sites, I added them to to the sub-headings in "From Internet Explorer" from which I can readily retrieve them. However, when I wanted to copy them to my laptop, I discovered that the only "Favorites" I can find on my PC are the old IE7 Favorites - none of the additions made within Firefox were there. Similarly, the Bookmarks Toolbar which I now use is different from the Favorites Toolbar still accessible from my Windows Explorer.
Where is this information stored in Firefox so I can copy it?
My OS is Wndows 7 Professional.

At first, it can be difficult to determine which version of Numbers you are using. The user interfaces are different, but if you are new to the apps you may think you are using the new version when if fact you have launched the older version. Make sure you are using Version 3.x. Then you won't get the message that you need a newer version.
Use Spotlight to launch Numbers. After typing Numbers into the search field, pick the result that says "Numbers -- Applications".

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If not, download, unzip and run the attached registry script.

Make sure you have fully exited Firefox last by using the Quit option. In Mac OS X, applications do not automatically exit when you close the last remaining window as they do in other operating systems.
If you are quite sure that you quit, it's possible that Firefox may have hung in the course of shutting itself down. In that case, you can read these instructions for 'force quitting' an applicaton:

Only do that as a last resort though.
Finally, uninstall your existing version of Firefox before attempting to install a new version. You can do that by opening the Applications folder from the Finder, then dragging the Firefox icon to the trash can.

its stops installing and a windows error is shown
i e :: windows installer service could not be accessed , this could occur if you are running windows installer in safe mode
or windows installer service is not correctly installed
the same error happens if i try to uninstall the itunes from the control panel- remove programmes option

this eroor is not happening with any other programmes..

How can I install new windows on NB200-10z without a CD drive?

I have a mini laptop "Toshiba nb200-10z" and it doesnt startup anymore.
I would like to do a recovery, but it also doesnt work.
I know there is a shortcut like press the 0 button when the laptop is starting up.
With this shortcut you can start the recovery to reset the software.
But when I press the 0 button it gives me an error.
So I think the recovery drive/partition is lost.
How can I install new windows on this minilaptop without a CD drive?

I have found a much easier way to install Windows 7 from a USB Flash drive. Unlike other methods where you have to write complicated commands, this method can be completed even by those who have very little computer background.
The whole process takes only two steps, run UNetbootin, load the Windows 7 ISO file, and finally restart your computer.
Before you begin, you will require the following:
USB Flash Drive (4GB minimum)
Windows 7 ISO Image file
UNetbootin
Note: If UNetbootin doesnt work, try out the Microsofts official tool called Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool.
Now insert the USB drive, run UNetbootin, and select Disk Image as ISO. Browse your local drive for Windows 7 ISO that you downloaded and click Open. Now Select Type as USB and choose the drive. Once done, it will look like a bit similar to the screenshot shown below.
Click OK and it will begin extracting all installation files to the USB drive. The whole process will take some time (10-15 minutes), so have patience.
Once the installation is complete, reboot your computer. Now while your system is starting up press the appropriate button (usually F1, F2, F12, ESC, Backspace, or Escape) to bring up Bios Boot Menu.
Change the startup order to boot USB by default, usually you will have to press F6 to move the selected USB device on top. Once done, save changes and restart the system.
