If the account balance is zero and there is no open item, then you can switch off the OIM setting directly in GL right?
Is there any problem for that?

  • Is there any way to restore the 'Open New Tab' option in the tab bar drop-down menu?

After years of using tabbed browsing in Firefox, I've long-since gotten used to right-clicking the tab bar, and selecting the top menu item 'Open New Tab'. So much so that it has become reflexive. Now with v4, when I perform the same action, it now just reloads the current page. Is there ANY way to restore the option to the pull-down menu? I don't wanna have to move my pointer all the way to the other side of the screen just to open a new tab... (T_T)

Hello, I suffered from a similar problem with the new search bar type. I've found that you can go into '''about:config''', then search for '''browser.search.showOneOffButtons''' boolean and toggle that. This should restore the old functionality. (You might need to restart your browser)
Note that, like always, edit your '''about:config''' at your own risk.

  • F.05 - Posting Logic - How are the open items grouped?

    Hi,
I am trying to understand how the posting logic works. We are on ECC 6, Classic Ledger and use F.05 for the revaluation. I am trying to revalue a Open Item managed balance sheet account, that has open items since 2009. It has  a total of 480 open items, but after reval system posts only 19 entries. I am trying to understand how SAP groups these open items, what criteria is used to group open items to different documents. The totals are matching, but I am failing to understand the how SAP combined these different open items into a smaller set that were actually posted. Can anyone please enlighten me with this logic?
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
In terms of open item valuation, open items are grouped by the Vendor/customer and the transaction currency of the open item. But if corporate group of the vendor/customer are same and group vendor/customer is checked in settings of valuation method, the grouping will be based on corporate group and transaction currency of the open item.
For example: You have 6 open items (say invoices)
    Local currency is USD
    1. Vendor ABC (GL account 160000) - 100EUR => diff 3$
    2. Vendor ABC (GL account 160000) - 150INR => diff 2$
    3. Vendor ABC (GL account 160000) - 200AUD => diff -2$
    4. Vendor ABC (GL account 160000) - 300EUR => diff 1$
    5. Vendor XYZ (GL account 160000) - 350EUR => diff 1.5$ (corporate group - A123)
    6. Vendor TTT (GL account 161000) - 200EUR => diff 0.5$ (corporate group - A123)
If you carry out foreign currency valuation now, Assuming that each of these 6 open items gives valuation difference.
1 & 4 will be grouped together and 5 & 6 will be grouped together.
Once the open items are grouped, the following logic applies into each group.
If post per line check is checked in the settings of valuation method, then each differences will be separate line item.
If post per line check is not checked, then all the gains will be grouped as one line item and losses will be grouped as one line item.

  • In the open item lists for deliveries they go out though are closed

En las listas de partidas pendientes para las entregas que salen cuando están cerradas
Deliveries closed but still show on the Open Item Lists, something would be wrong. It is this what happens to me can you solve it like?

    Dear Mr Molina,
As you correctly pointed out if a delivery is closed it should not appear in the Open Item List. Would it be possible for you to check the ODLN and DLN1 with a query?
Please check what the status of the delivery is:
select docstatus from odln where docnum = 'xxx'
if the query shows that the document is Open, then you have to investigate how the delivery has been closed in order to be sure that it is indeed closed.
Do you have a target document that can be reached through the Target Document option from the base document?
Please, let us know the results of your testings.
    Thank you.

  • How to clear vendor open items if vendor invoice currency and payment currency different

    Hi All.
How to clear vendor open items through f-44 if vendor invoice currency is EUR , payment currency is USD  but local currency is INR
while clearing through f-44 system showing error as "to large for clearing clearing is not possible"
I checked all configuration, configuration wise no problem
    BR.
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
You chose any one of the currency i.e. EUR/INR/USD for clearing in F-44. After selecting line items for clearing, system will show a difference. Click on over view button and manually write off the difference by selecting any one account i.e. dummy or small diff.account, after that click on process open items then system will show the difference 0 and simulate the document, here system will post gain/loss exchange GL postings along with other line items. After save the document, manually pass journal entry to dummy account and gain/loss account. I have explained clearly in the below example.
    Invoice is in USD - 1000 & INR - 60000
Payment is in INR - 60000
Now I am going to clear these in INR currency in F-44 on 31.03.2015. On this date the exchange rate for USD is 60.10. At the time of clearing system will post the below entry
    Vendor A/c Dr 60000 (invoice)
    Vendor A/c Cr 60000 (Payment)
    Gain from exchange rate A/c Cr  100 (60000 - 60100)
    Small diff.write off A/c (or) Dummy A/c Dr 100
After done the above posting, we have to pass below manual JV in FB01
Gain from exchange rate A/c Dr  100
    Small diff.write off A/c (or) Dummy A/c Cr 100

  • Automatic Payment Run - Clearing of the Open Items

    Dear Forum,
We have an issue with the clearing of the open items in the Bank Clearing Account. While creating the payment run, the credit to the Bank Clearing Account happens with the Value Date getting updated in the Assignment Field. However, after we import the Electronic Bank Statement, we do not find the Value Date updated in the Assignment Field in the entry for debit to the Bank Clearing Account, and instead some other reference appears in the Assignment Field. The issue is in such a case how could we perform the automatic clearing of the open items. Is it that we need to do some maintenance in SAP or do we need to get some thing done on the Bank side.
Also if the criteria for clearing the open items is value date, how would the system behave in case the value date is same for two identical items and only one has been cleared from the Bank...how would the system know which one to be cleared.
Help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
    Regards

    Hi Raj,
Basically assignment field is used to enter the cheque/ dd number or bank transfer doc number. Thi facilitate the refernce for the system. If you use this then the problem of checks with sam valudate & amount will automatically get resolved.

I have a problem, we need to assign  and clear the open items of one customer with another customer from same company code. is it possible?
for eg: I have a customer X whose Debit balance is USD1000 and Cusomer Y is having Credit balance is 1000. Customer Y is agreed to settle the amount to customer X.
since customers are not related , we dont maintain any relationship in SAP. how do we post and clear the open items?
please let me know the procedure.

    kumar

    Hi,
When the moment you finish choose open item for 1st customer and then you have to press F7 (Charge off diff.) new screen comes then press F6 (Choose Open Items), then enter required data for 2nd customer (such as customer code, doc number, etc). You can post partially, and residually for this clearing posting.
    Good luck.

  • How to process Customer Open Items? If that Customer is also an Vendor.

    Hi All,
I need some help for  the below configuations,
    1. How to process Customer Open Items? If that Customer is also an Vendor to the Company. ( How to adjust these open amounts)
    1. How to process Vendor Open Items? If that Vendor is also an Customer to the Company. ( How to adjust these open amounts)
    Thanks
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
In addition to all the above, if the Customers and Vendors are in different company codes, then, you would have to also do the following configuration.
Execute transaction code <b>OBYA</b>, when prompted, type in 1st coy code, say A and then 2nd coy code, say B. This would take you to the "<b>Maintain FI Configuration: Automatic Posting - Clearing Accounts</b>" screen.
In the first frame, where you have
    Posted in : A
    Cleared Against : B
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
    In the second Frame
    Posted in : B
    Cleared Against : A
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
So, if you are using the Customer/Vendor approach, company A must be set up as both a Customer(Use Txn Code <b>XD01</b>) and a Vendor(USe Txn Code <b>XK01</b>) in Company B and vice versa.
Once you have completed this set-up, you can then use transaction <b>F.13</b> and/or <b>F13E</b> to carry out your automatic clearing.
However, if you intend to use the G/L approach, then the account numbers would be Inter-coy G/L account for each coy code as defined in the chart of accounts.
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • Payment run  - should not clear the open item but should post payment doc

    Hi Gurus,
Can you please help me , on how to acheive like when payment run F110 post the payment doc it should not close the open item rather keep that open item as open item , but hsould be be paid by payment doc posted through payment run F110.
Have any one of you had similar requirement ..? FICO gurus help me to acheiev this .. any exit /BADI ..or ideas..
    Appreciate your help in advance

    HI ,
Thanks for your reply , but still I am not clear on that.
reason they want to keep this open to be kept as open item , so that item will be picked up by dunning run ..
Basically  the open invoice is being cleared by payment doc which was generated by payment run. If we look at BSEG in the open item record BSEG-AUGBL = will have the clearing doc number , and in addition to that BSEG will have created another record for the clearing doc as well .
May be since open invoice record is being updated with clearing doc (AUGBL ) , I belive its not shown up as open item .
Somehow this item should be kept as open item ... that is the req and also paid item payment reference should be transfered to Bill of exchange as well.
Hope you have clear background of my req...
    Tnanks in advance ,

  • How to disable an "open for editing" option in word/excel viewers

Hi All.  It's my first post on here so please be gentle! ;-)
We have a situation on an RDS server whereby the majority of the users simply need Excel Viewer to review reports generated from an application, with only a very small number of users that actually need to amend and save these reports within Excel 2013 i.e.
a version of Excel that we need a license for.
There is an option within Excel Viewer that says "Open for editing" and unfortunately, because we also have Excel installed on the server this allows them to launch the Excel 2013 application i.e. full-blown Excel.
Is there a way that I can disable this menu item, or can anyone suggest a way that I can stop users from launching Excel 2013?  I suspect that I can use AppLocker to prevent them calling on the excel.exe, but I was rather hoping that there was a more
elegant way i.e. to simply disable the menu item in Excel Viewer.
Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It may be difficult for us to disable the "Open for Editing" option in Excel Viewer.
If you want to allow only view access to certain files, you should consider controlling access to the file location with network security. Grant the "view only" users with Read-only permission to access the document file location.

Thanks for the prompt response, I have checked in OB09, this refers to the Account Determination for OI Exchange Rate Differences and the entries maintained appear to be ok. What else could be the issue?
