How to Undo An edit further?

Hello,
Today I was editing my project and found that after editing all day, most of my edit was deleted in about 30 minutes. I can't find any autosaves from earlier than a few days ago.
I'm practically in tears after losing all this work on my timeline. I must have accidentally deleted it but was more than I could go back on the undos. Only a few clips remain in the area preceding where I was cutting some raw footage.... I closed the file and did not save, but it looks like I can't find any auto saves in the last hour or so. What can I do?

Transport all the objects you want in the order again with a new request. This will replace all the transported objects and you will get all the objects transported.

It seems that due to a gigantic delete, I am running out of UNDO. How can I see exactly how much undo a query needs?
Searching on the web, I found this:

How to undo the "Paste into" in Indesign?

Does anyone know how to undo the "Paste into" in Indesign? I have used the "paste into" to mask a list of items but now i want to redo it so that I can see the whole list of items again. Is it possible?

Same way you undo anything else, Edit > Undo, or are you asking if you can come back days later and remove the content, then put it elsewhere? Sounds like maybe the latter, and my guess is you pasted a text frame into another frame, so you need to select the outer frame, then Object > Select > Content, or just use the Direct Select tool to select the content, then cut and finally paste it someplace else.

...sigh... being new to MAC I shouldn't have just assumed I could putz around and make changes like I used to with PC.
So, I use Gradebook (I'm a teacher) and unfortunately, it's reliant on Java.
So the other day I made the mistake of updating Java and it sent my world into a tailspin. Gradebook suddenly stopped working. It would just bounce in my dock but never open.
Then I found out it was having issue with the new Java. So I found instructions to reverse the Java update and go back to Java 6 here which required me to go into terminal and make changes: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559?viewlocale=en_US
I did that. Now everyone claims that Gradebook fixed their issue with the new Java. But I'm still having that bouncing then nothing problem. So someone suggested I upgrade to Mavericks. So I did... and when I re-tried Gradebook it told me I needed to download Java 6 for it to work, so I got excited thinking my problems were solved. But nope... bouncing in the dock then nothing.
Now I'm thinking those changes I made in Terminal are what the problem is. So I googled how to remove those entries and I went into .bash and deleted them (kept a copy of what I was deleting though, just in case) Didn't work. So now I've read that I have to UNDO my changes and not delete them. But I have no idea how to do that.
This was my entire history in that .bash file:

There are instructions at the bottom of the page you linked to that tell you how to undo it.
Editing the .bash_history file only removes commands from the recorded history, it doesn't undo them. Although doing that isn't going to cause any problems, it does reveal a tendency to fiddle with "arcane knowledge" without fully understanding it. That's very, very bad, as doing the wrong thing in the Terminal could easily cause irreversible damage to the system that can only be fixed by reinstalling. It could even lead to data loss.

LR 2 - how to undo changes after unselecting picture?

I do a bunch of edits on picture A. Then, I go to picture B and do some edits. Then, when I go back to Picture A and decide to change it, I don't see any option to undo those edits any more. I thought it would be in the "History" section in the develop menu. It shows every single thing that I did to the picture. But, when I try to delete (by selecting it and hitting the delete key) any part of the history, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I've been having to reset the whole picture because I can't figure out how to undo any of the edits (and this is ONLY when I deselect off of the picture and come back to it later - I know about the undo option). You can reset individual sliders back to their default by double clicking on the slider name (e.eg. Exposure, Brightness, Contrast, etc). Same applies in the other Develop module panels.

Help, i made a terminal command and i don't know how to undo it.

i found my long lost folder of terminal commands.. and i forgot what this one did, so i clicked it (i made the commands into a "unix executable file").. and all my files on my desktop are now hidden.. the only way to find them is to type in the file name into finder.
the command i typed in was

and now everything on my desktop is gone, and i dont know how to undo it, I undid once about 3 months ago when i wrote it, but i forgot what i did. I tried counterering the command with others but it isn't doing anything. thank you
edit: i know this command cant destroy my system because it wasn't a sudo, but still, i had all my class work on my laptop and now it's all invisible

Hi. I was typing a very long entry in my calendar (flight confirmation, hotel confirmation) and so forth. Was almost done and hit shift.
Well the keyboard switched to the alternate set and the undo button was hit instead of shift and all my typing was erased.
How to undo that? Shaking it doesn't make undo appear.
Or am I stuck typing it all over?

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.

Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

I have PremierePro-CS5 installed.
This stereo 3D camcorder (Sony HDR-TD10E), output an .MVC (MultiViewCoding) file, coded in H.264 format.
This format is already compatible with Bluray3D stereoscopic format.
1) But, how to edit the .MVC in Premiere?
2) What plugin should I use (if exists) for PremiereProCS5?
3) Cineform Neo3D, can manage the .MVC format? Can convert it to Cineform format file, for import it into Premiere?
4) What software should I use to convert an .MVC video to an AVCHD H.264 file, and import it into PremierePro CS5 or CS5.5 for editing?
