How to uninstal AE6.5 and AE7 because of error messages
Hi -
I upgraded from 6.5 to 7 awhile ago and haven't used either in about a year. Now that I'm needing it I get resistance. AE6.5Pro tells me that the registration # is invalid and then just quits. AE7Pro tells me that it's missing some files and I should reinstall.
OK - so I'm going to reinstall but that begs the question...should I uninstall first? What's the best way to do that? I think I will have to uninstall both, reinstall 6.5 and then upgrade over it. Will I get resistance from the validation routine??
Maybe someone knows of a workaround to save me all this trouble.

All the files you need should be in the respective Adobe directories (Program Files/Adobe, Program Files/Common Files/Adobe; Application Data/ Adobe or the respective equivalent directories) but ultimately the files themselves are of little consequence - a new install wil lsimply overwrite them. You main concern will be to clean out your registry/ prefs which can only be done by uninstalling correctly. Otherwise things could get pretty hairy. Unfortunately there's no such no-brainer tool as the CS3 clean scripts for AE7 and previous versions.

Numbers 3.x can only open Numbers '09 and later. You will need Numbers '09 to open Numbers '08 files.
If it is a single file (or only a few) you can email me and I will open and convert then email back. My email address is in the "Biography" of my profile.
You may have Numbers '09 installed. Look in the folder "/Applications/iWork '09" if Numbers is in that folder launch it, open the file you tried to open, and save. Then you should be able to open in Numbers 3.x -
I received the error (in iCal on my iMac): "The server responded with an error". The error message is very large, and if there is a way to acknowledge and close it I can't find it. Because this error message is open, I can't do anything in iCal. Any suggestions on how I could kill this error message? Thanks.

My Reminders app will not open. When I try to open it, it quits and gives me an error message: "Reminders quit unexpectedly while using the CalDAV plug-in." My Reminders is synced with my iPod touch, and it is fine on that. How do I fix it?
Also, the Calendar is loading very very slowly, and sometimes it quits and gives me the same error message as above.The problem has been fixed with the most recent OS X software update.

I'm running iCloud on a Windows 7 PC. Photoes have been autmatically uploaded from my iPhone. However, the "Photoes" ICON does not load, and I receive an error message of a problem. Then the ICON disappears. How can I access my photoes?

I tried to play my iTunes and suddenly get an error message that says "The song (name) could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it now?" It happens on each tune I select and a "?" appears beside the song. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I was not complete clear.
Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section. If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there

Solved for me.
I set the owner/permissions of my profile's mozilla folder's (and all the files in it) to read/write access, and the problem disappeared.

i have a similiar problem:
i upgraded my mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7.something recently, but i did NOT update itunes, still running version 10.4.1. now i wanted to open itunes but it tells me, that my iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes - which i never used!
its annoying since i dont want to be forced to download a 720MB pckage of itunes every month - even more so, if the system start "lying" to me.
or is it another problem? anyone got the same? any solution? maybe an erratic prompt?
