How to Uninstall a ST-PI 2008_1_46C Plug in Hotpack

I have installed ST-PI 2008_1_46C on our system and now when I am doing a prepare for upgrade to Ecc6 SR2, it is giving me warning that my ST-PI is greater that 2005_1_46C, which can cause problem in IS_SELECT phase.
Is their a way to uninstall the ST-PI and go back to 2005_1_46C, or I should just continue the upgrade process.
Thanks

Ubuntu 10.045 (Linux) and Firefox 3.6.3  ~  How to uninstall the Adobe  Flash Player plug-in & ActiveX control
In general Adobe needs to offer Ubuntu (Linux) support.  I don't use Windows anymore and will go with whatever company provides me the Plug In's I need to function.  In this case at the current time, I can't use Adobe flash Player to view You Tube video's.  I followed the link that helps a user fix the problem:
Solve a Problem: The video won't play:
    http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer=56115
I then saw that you suggested that I first needed to uninstall any older versions of the Flash Player and then install the latest version of the Flash player.  I clicked on the link find out how to uninstall it here:

They didn't offer any help with Ubuntu 10.045 (Linux).  Please offer the instructions and automatic (non-terminal) uninstaller.  Also, I want an automatic installer for Ubuntu 10 (Linux) & Firefox 3.6 that is easy like like you have for Windows and like Sun's Java has for Linux.

You should go to this site to see what versions of Flash Player and Shockwave Player you have installed.
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
The versions you are listing (10.0 r12, 10.0 r2) appear to be Shockwave Plauer versions, not Flash Player.
If you want to uninstall Flash Player, there should be an uninstaller in the install directory.  I do not know where that is on Linux.

  • How to uninstall an unknown addon/plugin/program

A couple of months ago I saw a add on? plug in? which lists the companies (like Doubleclick) that are tracking me as I browse. I installed it and it took over the right part of my screen with a list of trackers. I now would like to get rid of the tracking, but I don't know what it was called. I don't see it under the list of add ons or plug ins, nor in the control panel under the list of installed programs. *4.0.60129.0 listed below is apparently a silverlight plugin
Any idea how to get rid of this thing without remembering its name?

As you suspect, 4.0.60129.0 is the Microsoft Silverlight plugin.
As for the add-on, you appear to be describing the Ghostery extension. For details of how to uninstall it, see the section on uninstalling extensions at https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

  • How to uninstall Java (JRE MSI) while keeping Internet Explorer open?

I have a situation where I need to have the ability to uninstall Java (currently JRE 1.7 Update 75, but could really be any version in the future).  We are using the JRE MSI.  I know how to uninstall it silently just fine, but the gotcha problem comes in that we have thousands of computers and some of them may have IE running during the uninstall.
Now normally I would just use taskkill.exe to terminate IE ahead of time then run Java uninstall.  However, we are being told for the uninstall, this isn't an option even if we notify the customers about IE closing.  So I'm looking for a command line way to uninstall Java, but allow it to be successfully uninstalled if IE is running (If a reboot is required after the fact, that is fine).
I have tried several things without success already:
    MSIRESTARTMANAGERCONTROL=Enable (And Disable)
    IEOPEN=1
    IERESTART=1
In every case, I keep getting a Java Window that reads the below:
If I choose Later, then it will continue upon the next restart of the computer, which would be fine, except there doesn't seem to be a way to choose this option using the command line or a property??
I would be even be happy to trick Java into thinking it isn't being used currently even if the browser is open, but I can't seem to figure out how Java knows it is being used or not currently used.
(FYI, if you install Java while IE is running that is fine, and if you don't close IE after the fact then run the uninstall command right after, it uninstalls fine even though IE is running.  I believe that is the case because the plug-in didn't fully get activated in IE until a close and reopen).
Any ideas on how this can be accomplished?  Thanks.

  • How to uninstall vsts....?

    hi
ive installed a few vsts to use in logic pro, some worked , some didnt.
one worked, and then when i added some more, i get au error message on the one that worked. strange.
so i want to uninstall some of them. but they are not listed in my applications list. and there is no specific uninstaller, i think.
i also have appcleaner and appzapper, and they dont seem to pick them up either.
i think the problem started when i installed and scanned system with vst to AU adaptor. ive read the manual for the adaptor, but there is no mention of how to uninstall it. how do i?? its not listed in the apps list. the actual app is residing on its own on my main internal hard drive.
also can i use time machine to put logic pro back to a previous state? i have old backups. but i dont know if i can choose logic pros state specifically to say 2 weeks ago, and it just restores logic(and leaves everthing else intact) is this possible???
i dont want to lose any tracks that i have made though, and template i have made, and sampler instrument i have made in exs24.
    thanks

    Hi Bob,
Some of the VST's that are wrapped to AU will fail the AU validation. That does not necessarily mean that they won't work, you can (try) use them anyway.
Au plugins are in the Audio>plugins folder (both in the /Library/Audio folder and the /Users/"You"/Library/Audio folder) as are VST's (that need to be there for the VST to AU wrapper). If you just create a folder 'unused plugs', you can drag the offenders into it - but you can also use the AU manager in Logic.
No need for Time-Machine extremeties in this case.
    regards, Erik.

  • May I know how to uninstall Zenmate, please?

May I know how to uninstall Zen Mate in Mac Book Pro, please?

    ZenMate the Gppgle Chrome plugin?
    From Googles help pages;
You can also completely disable specific plug-ins. Unlike blocked plug-ins, you won’t be able to allow the plug-in to run on a given page. When you visit a page with a disabled plug-in, you’ll see the message “Missing plug-in” appear in its place.
To disable plug-ins, visit the Plug-ins page at chrome://plugins/. Find the plug-in you’d like to disable and click Disable. You can also re-enable disabled plug-ins on this page.
You can also reach the Plug-ins page by clicking Disable individual plug-ins in the "Plug-ins" section of the Content Settings dialog.

  • How to uninstall java plugin without removing JRE completely

how to uninstall java plugin without removing JRE completely.
Hope someonce can help, all the documentation ive seen till now shows how to uninstall the Java plugin by completely removing the JRE.
Also if you install JRE 1.4.1_01 and do not choose to install the browser plugin on the browers prompted ... does it not install the plugin?

    In IE
Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> View Objects
Delete the ActiveX control for the Java Plugin
This removes the ActiveX control (plug-in) from the browser but doesn't delete the JRE.

  • How do uninstall ACR 8.1 RC to ACR 7.4?

I used ACR7.4 to reinstall by AAM, but it's fail.
    The fail code is U44M2P7.
How do uninstall CR8.1 RC to install CR7.4?
    Thank you.

You're most welcome, but I made an error in that post as I forgot that the location of the ACR plug-in has been switched in Lion and Mountain Lion from the Root Library to the User Library.  The screen shot I posted earlier shows Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  My bad.  Sorry.
Therefore, for your Mountain Lion 10.8.4 I should have indicated as follows:
Just remember you want the User Library (~/Library) which is normally hidden from you.  You do not want your Root Library.which is totally hidden from you so you cannot access it.
In your Mountain Lion you'll access that folder through the GO menu in the Finder, like this:
Methods to Temporarily Reveal the ~/Library Folder
Perhaps the easiest way to temporarily reveal the ~/Library folder is to open Finder. On the menu bar, at the top, select Go to reveal the drop-down menu and then hold down the Option key (marked ALT) and you will see the ~/Library folder appear. You may now select this ~/Library folder with your mouse or trackpad.
As soon as you release the Option key, the ~/Library folder will be hidden once more.
The following link takes you to an illustrated tutorial on accessing the User Library:

    My apologies for the confusion.

My safari browser seems to have been taken over by a malicious program called only-search.  Does any one know how to uninstall this program from safari?  I am running osX 10.10.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

First, welcome to the Apple boards.
Backup what you have because it probably contains things from the original update you want to keep - network settings, passwords, etc. A bootable clone is your best bet - and test it out.
Then you need to format your HD (full, not quick) with the Leopard DVD and then reboot with the Tiger CD and install it. I am not sure how much you can migrate "downwards" from the Leopard backup, but some things will probably come along OK. Not sure about mail since it was converted by Leopard - will it unconvert? Don't know.
I have read of some who tried to simply install Tiger over Leopard but the results were less than great. You can try it once you have that clone backup, because you won't be losing anything.
I would suggest unplugging the clone during the erase and install process until you get to the migration point.

I have a brand new Leopard based MacBook Pro that I need to revert to its previous cat form of Tiger. Would you mind walking me through it? I have Tiger disks that came with another MacBook Pro so those should have all of the machine specific items I will need. As I understand this, I start the computer from the included Leopard disk and do a full format. (I noticed that there is a new partition style named GUID Partition, is this Leopard only?) Next, I load in my Tiger disks and install from those? I do not need to do any system backups as I have no information on this computer as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Brian

I just bought my macbook pro and it's charged up to 100% and is still plugged in but now shows the battery at 98%.  How is this possible when it's plugged in to the charger and the green light is on?

The system regularly lets the battery drop to about 95% when on the charger, then recharges to 100%.  This lets the batery exercise "just a little" all of the time and saves the recharge curcuits from overuse.
    Regualr occurence for me.
Also ... you need to let your battery work at least once per month.  Let it run down to 40%, but not less if you can at all avoid it.  Running thr battery fully dead will shorten the battery life significantly.

It would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.
