Hi
Most Mac applications come in self-contained packages (ctrl-click, or right-click, & you will see Show Package Contents), they can just be dragged to the trash.
Some applications have their own uninstaller which must be run.
With Adobe Reader 8, I believe the icon in Applications is a folder so just drag it to the trash & empty the trash. I believe Download Manager (Applications/Utilities) should be the same. Someone may know different.
There is also AppZapper or AppDelete. These work by you dragging & dropping the application you wish to delete onto its icon, AppZapper/AppDelete then pulls all parts of that application together then moves it to the trash.

How do I completely uninstall adobe acrobat pro 9 tial version
after it has expired?  Since this has expired I am having issues with other programs that use Adome A
crobat and the new flash player will not install correctly.

If uninstalling Acrobat normally does not resolve the issue, you better ask in the appropriate Acrobat forum.  Don't forget to mention your OS and any relevant details.
You can continue this topic regarding your problem with Flash Player, but we also need to know your OS, browser, and the exact details of your problem.

I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Pro due to Windows 8 malfunction with starting up. I am trying to reinstall as I am an owner of the Creative Suite CS6 and I cannot access my serial number. I purchased the software in 2013 and never registered i, apparently. When directed on Adobe's site to access the serial number, it takes me to an outside 3rd party site, which I tried but it does not actually work. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey beccac85068042,
Adobe will provide you the serial number only if you are a registered user.

  • How to deactivate adobe acrobat Pro version 10?

I need to reformat my hard drive and I need to deactivate Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10.  I go to the help options and "Deactivation" is not even an option.
Any idea of how to deactivate the software if there isn't even an option?
    Thanks for your help
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
You are not getting the deactivate option as it might be possible that Acrobat was installed with volume license serial key.
If the deactivate option is not available then please go ahead and uninstall the program.
After reformatting the drive, re install the software.
    Regards,

  • Uninstall adobe acrobat pro

how do i ununstall adode acrobat pro free trial version for imac 10.8

    Hi l.ariss
Choose Applications > Adobe Acrobat  Pro, select the Acrobat  Uninstaller, and double-click it.
Follow the onscreen instructions to uninstall Acrobat.
In the Authenticate dialog box, type the user name and password for an administrator account and click OK.Note: The uninstaller removes only Adobe Acrobat  files from the system.  It does not remove Adobe Reader files, Acrobat user data, or files that are shared with other Adobe applications.

  • How to activate Adobe Acrobat Pro 8

How can Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro be activated?
It is part of CS3 and Indesign and Photoshop has both been registered
but Acrobat Pro has no registration possibility in help and the activate
    is always gray.

Acrobat 8.x is not Win 7 compatible. Even if you get it activated, there is no guarentee that it will work properly. When sold as part of a suite Acrobat 8's activation is done through the other programs in the suite. You need to activate something like Photoshop and it should be enough to get Acrobat 8 working without further need of activation. If that is not working, it could be due to a problem with the installation of the suite (you could try: de-activating the suite, removing the entire suite, running the CS Clean Script, and then try re-installing, activating Photoshop, then seeing if Acrobat will work. BUT, again the problem you will run into is that Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Win 7. You need at least Acrobat 9.2.x for compatibility.

  • Downloading adobe acrobat 7 try-out version?

I have a CD of Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro but am unable to read it due to scratches or some such.  I was wondering if maybe a try-out version of Acrobat 7 could be downloaded and the key entered into that to activate it?  I realize that Acrobat 7 is two versions out of date but it's more economical to use an old copy than it is to buy a new one.

the first result is a version of pro for $11, with a cd-key, you could install it on 2 computers.
LOL yeah well, if you find it that cheap, all I can say is be careful. For starters, it's illegal so don't go giving them a credit card and to finish, the application could contain malware.

Have you tried contacting Adobe about possibly purchasing replacement media?
You can try but I don't think they offer replacement media for a version that old. Their answer will be to upgrade.

  • How to Uninstall Adobe Acrobat 9.0 from Vista?

On my laptop (Windows Vista), I have a Adobe Acrobat 9.0 which I need to uninstall. It was giving me limited access and use. To remedy this, I installed, Adobe Reader 8.0. That works fine but when I want to read pdf files, the 9.0 version pops up first and gives me a message that I'm unable to read the file. I can't always elect "Save Target As" to opt to use the 8.0 version of Reader (i.e. viewing bank statements).
When I went to delete Adobe 9.0 from my C drive, I was denied access because I "don't have permission".
Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can only uninstall from an administrative account. Be aware you are not supposed to have Reader and Acrobat on the same machine. Uninstalling Acrobat 9 will break Reader which will need to be re-installed. For Vista compatability make sure you update to 8.1.3 or later.

  • How to make Adobe Acrobat Pro's (CS6) toolsets work more like previous versions. It is very inconvenient now to put it mildly, was much better in CS3.

In CS6, every time I need to preflight, edit, export images from Acrobat Pro I have to try and build a new toolset. The little icons that appear at the top are generally meaningless, as I don't use this every day. Is there a way to make it behave more like previous versions - say CS3?

Why do you have to build a new toolset? Why not, for instance, just click the Preflight button?

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro X download for Mac

I need help finding out how to download Adobe Acrobat Pro X? I bought it on CD with my CS6 but I cannot find those disks.  I bought a new computer and want to put it on there, but I cannot find it anywhere on line to download.  I can find the Pro XI but I need just the Pro X.  Where can I find it to download?  I have my serial number and have been able to make the other versions of CS6 to work, but I cannot find Pro X.

The download page for CS6 is here, but Acrobat is missing as an individual download:, so you'll need to download whichever suite you purchased.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
Alternatively, if you've lost the disk, then you could try to contact Adobe to see if they'll send you a replacement set.
No doubt Adobe will want to sell (sorry, rent) you the Creative Cloud version, which is download only. Of course, you may not want to get involved in that.
