How to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop CC

I met several problems with Photoshop CC. Then I want to uninstall it and reinstall it. How do I proceed?

Depends on your operating system.  If Windows, go Start > Control Panel > Programs & Features and unistall.
Dowload and run the cleaner tool:
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Restart the computer
Right click and run the Desktop Application Manager as Administrator.
Update the Desktop Application Manager if it invites you to.
Install Photoshop.

How do I go about uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop CS 4 from my original CS 4 disc?

If you are on a PC then you can uninstall one of two ways
    1) add / remove programs
Go to Start --> control panel , now change the view to large icons, now near the top you should see "add / remove programs selct it
in the list find Adobe Photoshop cc and click change/remove. this should start the setup program and give you options to remove it from the system.
    2) folders
firstly find Photoshop on your desktop right click and select properties, in the window select "find target". This will open a window showing you the location where photoshop is installed. within this folder find "uninstall.exe" this will start the same process and you should be able to follow the steps to remove.

  • What do i need to uninstall and reinstall photoshop cs5 extended windows 7 32-bit?

what do i need to uninstall and reinstall photoshop cs5 extended windows 7 32-bit?

Photoshop CS5 Extended suddenly stopped recognizing my NVIDIA 3D card (NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800M). No 3D graphics will work in Photoshop. An Adobe online tech worked with me on it for about an hour. We concluded that I would go try to update the NVIDIA driver. The NVIDIA website is frustrating. The boxes to input my card model and system do not work.
Nawang uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop (my question below was about how to do that, but he did it for me and that did not help.)
My card is 3D capable. I used Repousse 3D effect two days ago and it worked fine. Now it is not working, all 3D controls are grayed out.

  • How to uninstall and reinstall Adobe InDesign CS5?

My Adobe InDesign CS5 stopped opening properly. Upon startup all the menu items were grayed out and unaccessible. Adobe Chat support advised me to uninstall and reinstall CS5.
My other Adobe programs are working fine. (CS5 photoshop, illustrator, acrobat, etc.)
    MacBook Pro OS10.9.3
Anyone know how to uninstall and reinstall CS5?
Unfortunately Adobe chat service no longer supports this function on this older software.
    Thanks for your help.

before you go to the trouble of uninstalling/reinstalling--try this (it's called resetting the preferences)
OOPs--I forgot that I was in the indesign forum
There is a quick and easy method for doing this using the keyboard: close and relaunch InDesign, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences. There are two downsides to this method, however. First, you must be extremely fast on the keyboard (if you don’t see the confirmation prompt, you were too slow), and second, anytime you replace the preferences you will lose most program customizations, and using the keyboard method leaves you with no backup to restore them when the problem turns out to be something else.
My preferred method is to CLOSE INDESIGN and do a “manual” prefs replacement, which consists of finding and renaming the two files which make up the preference set: InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData. BOTH of these files should be replaced at the same time. You can delete them, but renaming or moving them will give you the opportunity to copy them back in the event that new prefs doesn’t cure your issue. When you restart ID, the program will look for these two files, and when they are not found, a new default set will be written.

I don't think you have to sign out; just uninstall. (Do it from within the Creative Cloud app; should be a cogwheel icon next to Photoshop.) Think the only reason you would sign out is if you intend to use PS CC on another system. (Up to 2 registered systems if I recall.) You can then reinstall using the Creative Cloud app.

  • How to uninstall and reinstall iPhoto

How to uninstall and reinstall iphoto

I found a way to edit a command line that was supposedly going to manipulate the program to make my modified photos save as the originals.
Do you mean you modified the application (program) or the library?  If it's the application reinstall the app from the App Store. If you just modified the library then you'll have to do what Larry recommends.
You could try rebuilding the library as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 -  select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox  "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
5 - in the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2:  Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
If the rebuild library isn't any better than the current library you can trash it.

  • This is a second try to get help. I need help to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop cc 2014

Bridge is not working well, I need to reinstall Photoshop cc 2014 .  Someone from Communities was suppose to help me.

    Hi John,
I used the chat "Creative chat support"  this afternoon at around 14:40
and the person, Karthik M , gave me a link to Technical Support.  I
guess he could not help me, but he said he understood the issue.   With
the link "Help, Adobe Installation problems",   I will follow the
instructions  to clean ps cc2014 with CCleaner and reinstall the app.
It looks quite complicated  but I will give it a try and hopefully succeed.
You have to understand when reading my previous messages, the issue is
no longer "Retreiving Photoshop CC" but reinstalling Phoshop 2014 to try
    to repair Bridge.
    Thanks for caring,

  • How to uninstall and reinstall mac os x...corrupt files...help!

i recently got a macbook pro to use for my photography and music and such, but i have never had a mac before and i'm used to pcs. i think a virus may have gotten on my computer because a couple days ago i went to upload a cd into itunes and i noticed that none of the songs i uploaded played. they showed up in the player but didn't actually play. so i restarted itunes and it said that my library was corrupt and that it had created a new one. the same thing happened in aperture. i exported some pictures from aperture to a file on my computer, and the pictures were there but half of them wouldn't display. so i restarted my computer, and aperture said it had to recover my folders, but it only recovered the folders that came with aperture...all of my library folders were gone. so i tried to import files from my computer into the aperture library and aperture just closed. this is actually the only way aperture will close--once it is open i have to force quit or just try to import files. since i have never worked with macs before the only way i can see to solve this problem is to burn all of my music and pictures to rewritable dvds (because those are the only files i really need) and then uninstall and reinstall mac os x. but i don't really know how to do this. any suggestions?

  • Would uninstall and reinstalling photoshop CC affect payment?

There was a Photoshop CC update today, but when I tried to install it I was faced with a u44m1p7 error. Adobe's website mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling it, so I am in the process of doing that.
But,er, forgive me if this is a dumb question, would this affect my subscription with Photoshop CC (as in, would I need to somehow pay double the cost?)
Sorry for the question, but I was really worried

Moving this discussion to the Creative Cloud Download & Install forum.
Phthalojohan reinstalling will not cause you to incure an additonal charge.  Also please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1369395?tstart=0 where I just addressed the U44M1P7 error for another individual.

  • How to uninstall and reinstall if firefox is my only internet connection

getting directed to bad place when accessing internet. Did virus scan, found nothing.
How can I uninstall and reinstall firefox since I have no other internet connection. I DO NOT was to load internet explorer.

Bad redirects can result from a variety of causes, including (1) system level malware, (2) system level settings changes, (3) bad Firefox add-on, (4) Firefox settings changes, (5) other (depending on the nature of the redirect).
Here's what I suggest for tracking it down:
    (1) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
    (2) Then, in Firefox, open the '''Add-ons page''' using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    (3) Check your '''Firefox connection setting''' in the Options dialog here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" connection settings, but you also can try "No Proxy" to see whether that works better.
    (4) Search for remaining issues with the '''scanning/cleaning tools''' listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
Are you able to get rid of the unwanted redirect?

  • UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL PHOTOSHOP?

After almost a year of using CS3 I am told by photoshop today"You cannot use, you must uninstall and reinstall before using. It does not mention a license issue as I have seen in many post..do I really have to do the reinstall?

    >
"is there any other solution than the un/reinstall?"
You could have done that about a dozen times by now! :)
But also understand that if you have corrupted preferences, un/re won't get rid of them.
You'll still need to do that.
