How to uninstall Bridge to do a clean install?

How best should I uninstall Bridge (CS2) and all the other Adobe applications that might have anything to do with Bridge so that I can make a completely new clean install?
I have Photoshop CS2 (with ImageReady CS2) and InDesign CS2.
Separately I have Adobe Lightroom 2.3 but that does not use Bridge at all as far as I know. It even uses a different Camera Raw version.
Thanks for the assistance. I am trying to fix a problem where Bridge will not show me any thumbnails except a bunch of white boxes that are not even the correct number of thumbnails for the folder I am trying to display.
I asked a separate question about white thumbnails with no solutions be found.

Hi John,
Tried all that - no luck in getting it fixed as the other discussion mentions.
Need to get rid of everything Bridge related so that I get a good fresh clean install. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop trying to get this fixed but to no avail, so thinking I need to really wipe out everything to do with CS2.  Photoshop and Bridge worked for several years, then something happened - probably having to do with the reinstalll of Win XP.
Thanks for your reply.
VB
I thought that might be the case.
So your best bet as you say is to uninstall normally from the Control Panel and then manually remove all files and folders related to CS2.
Remember this is not just in C:\Program files
but also in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\9.0
and possibly C:\Program Files\Common Files.
I would then run a registry cleaner like CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/

I don't think this will fix your problem with restoring your iPhone 4 though. That is likely a seperate issue.
but i can do it with any windows?
Yes, you can theoretically restore your iPhone with any computer running the most current version of iTunes (10.6.3) unless there is some other issue.
    I get error code(21)
According to this support article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error21:
"These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service."
Do you run any anti-virus or third-party firewalls on your computer? Try disabling them and trying the restore process again. It may be possible that one of these security applications is interfering with the iPhone's ability to authenticate with Apple's servers.

  • How to get OS X LION to clean install on late 2007 Black MacBOOK 1.3?

    I recently bought a late 2007 Black MacBOOK 1.3.
Wanting to clean install LION, I formated the HDD and cleaned up the recovery partition by fusioning the two partitions!
I had to install LION with the use of a friends account.
This doesn't suit me because if I need something i'm depending of that friend.
Since LION is gone from the APP STORE (at least i'm not able to find it) i'd like to know how can I get it in a legal way to be able, if needed, to do a fresh install of Lion?

Most likely the original source is the App store (choice 2 in my answer) for this system. Look under the purchased tab in the app store while you are logged in under the Apple ID you regisitered the computer with

  • How to uninstall a No-Ip2 when i installed it via source?

So i installed No-Ip2 via source, now i want to uninstall it because it is not saving anything and is just being a pain. The source is here if needed: http://www.noip.com/downloads.php?page=linux
I attempted to run the below command:
    sudo make uninstall
But it failed and gave me the below error. I was in the same directory as the makefile.
make: *** No rule to make target `uninstall'. Stop.
The README file says nothing about uninstalling. I have no idea how to uninstall it at this point.
    Any tips or ideas?

WonderWoofy, that is the second funniest thing I have seen all day.
It looks like the official package has the two files identified by WonderWoofy, plus a service file.
    package() {
    cd $srcdir/$pkgname-$pkgver-1
    install -Dm755 noip2 $pkgdir/usr/bin/noip2
    install -Dm755 ../noip-rc.d $pkgdir/etc/rc.d/noip
    install -Dm644 ../noip2.service $pkgdir/usr/lib/systemd/system/noip2.service
Although, the files from the official package do not go to /local/bin, so be sure you go to /local and remove the files WonderWoofy identified and remove them.  DO NOT just install the package from community.

  • How to uninstall QT 7.1.5 and install previous version

Can someone advise how to uninstall new version of QuickTime 7.1.5 and install a previous version (7.1.3). The new version seems to have issues (I have software that no longer plays back video... and was working fine before new version).
    Mac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Problems with QT 7.1.5 are not limited to Turbo Tax or to particular versions of OSX. If you read the website Macfixit, you will find that many people with many different programmes and system versions are having serious problems with this update of QT, including a stall on the update itself. I phoned tech services in Canada under my AppleCare programme and reached them this morning (March 11) and the technician I spoke with had NO KNOWLEDGE of the many many problems with this updater. I told him that APPLE should immediately remove it from circulation until it is fixed. He said he would report it but he was not enthusiastic nor did he sound overly concerned so I don't know that he will. I also asked for advice about uninstalling 7.1.5 and the only sure thing he could recommend was to re-install the entire system. Not a satisfactory option. But if you are interested, go to Macfixit.com and look for their document on uninstalling it. But as for APPLE, I suggest that everyone having problems after installing 7.1.5 OR with the downloading itself phone APPLE and demand that they pull 7.1.5 from circulation AND provide us, on their website, with their instructions about uninstalling it. This kind of negligence has become too typical of APPLE of late - not the old style APPLe that I came to love and depend upon - and only if we demand more responsibility from them do we have any hope of things changing for the better.

  • How to restore 10.3 files after clean install of 10.4

I had Mac OS 10.3 and did a clean install to Tiger (10.4) earlier this year. I thought I backed up my Apple Mail, iPhoto and iTunes libraries but I did not do it properly. I lost my attachments, all my photos and tunes.
Is there anything that can be done to restore my Apple Mail, iPhoto and iTunes back to what it was when I had 10.3?
    Thanks,
    Cindy

Yes, there is a way, but are you sure you want to do that?
You can export your mail in mbox format by selecting the messages in Mail 2.x, doing File > Save As, and choosing Raw Message Source from the Format popup menu. You'll have to import those files into Mail 1.x doing File > Import Mailboxes and choosing Other / Standard mbox as the data format.
Alternatively, you can use an utility such as Emailchemy or emlx to mbox Converter to do the conversion.
Be sure to make a backup copy of the current ~/Library/Mail folder first and keep it until you've successfully completed the conversion, just in case.

  • How to uninstall Office 2010 32 bit and install Office 2013 64 bit

    Hi Everyone,
I am rather new to SCCM.  I have setup a SCCM 2012 SP1 system.  I am now trying to setup an Application where it will install Office 2013 64 bit.  Everything seemed to go smoothly until I tried testing it.  I received an error that I
cannot install the 64 bit version of Office 2013 because Office 2010 32 bit is already installed.
I tried to modify the MSP where it will uninstall Office 2010 before installing Office 2013 but apparently as soon as it starts it checks for the 32 bit installation and exits when it finds it.
Could someone give me a detailed solution (since I am new to SCCM)?
    Ken

While referring to older versions of office I think this link may apply: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f255e17d-4e1f-4231-8a88-d63f41c83c52/how-to-automatcally-uninstall-office-2007-32-bit-for-installation-of-office-2010-64-bit?forum=officesetupdeployprevious
Also you might create an office 2010 package, with an uninstall program that removes it.
Then in your office 2013 package make the uninstall for 2010 to be run first.

    any help would be great

The file kind is called a 'Saved Search Query', although the format looks to be the same as a .plist - they can also be opened in a text editor or Property List Editor. You can save them pretty much anywhere you want, but there is a 'Saved Searches' folder in the user's Library folder.

First, that is the jist of the message if you try to delete it. After that it is speculation.
After that, you can't sync your iDevices, but the OP doesn't care about that. It also is linked closely with displaying and playing various media on the Mac.
But then again, I don't think either of us are Apple developers. So why are you trying to bully your opinion on me, without offering any proof of your opinion?
And you are the one who stated your position was an opinion
I took the stance that we had opposing opinion.
You have shown a way to do it, but just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
