How to uninstall Lightroom.

I've trashed every lightroom related file I can find on my computer (iMac, latest OS as of Dec '13). I still see Lightroom in my Creative Cloud but cannot open because it's no longer on my computer. Needed to reinstall because the "error changing modules" issue that tons of other people seemed to be having. I am required to use Lightroom for work. Help.

This happened to me as well, how do I download Lightroom 5 again in the creative cloud?
Thanks!

    Hi There,
As you have already uninstalled lightroom from Utilities>uninstallers, here is what you need to do.
Kindly remove Lightroom 5 that you see in Applications > Move it to Trash.
    Manually uninstall Lightroom
Make sure you Back up a catalog
Try to install Lightroom 6/cc after relaunching Creative Cloud app.

  • How to Uninstall Lightroom for Mac

I just upgraded to Version 2, I want to uninstall version 1 without effecting V.2, Ive looked everywhere for the uninstaller, to no avail.

Neither of those methods will competely remove lightroom 1.0 from your mac, there is a super little app that uninstalls everything related to a program, library files, caches, etc etc
Its called appzapper. It traces through all the relevant files and removes them all.
I dont know whether lightoom 2 uses the same caches, etc etc
    Just my observation

Then maybe you should NOT be recommending this. Good way to lose Presets, Galleries and other related items. Just do as the earlier repliers suggest.

I've noticed that, too. It's because the Adobe installer assigns the
wrong permissions to LR, not allowing the admin user write access.
I mention this only for future reference, since you've already found a
solution: all Apple- and most other applications are installed with the
    following privileges:
    owner: system (read&write)
    group: admin (read&write)
    everyone (read-only)
If you want to correct those, you can use a utility such as BatChmod to
    do so:
Just drag an app's icon onto its window and tick the checkboxes
accordingly. Also make sure to select "Apply ownership and privileges"
    and "Unlock".

  • How to uninstall adobe dng converter 8.3??

    hello,
i installed adobe dng converter on my windows 7 system. i am very thankfull for any advice how to uninstall it.
the program isn't listed like other programs in the control panel - programs area, so there's no option to uninstall it the usual way.
    greetings sebastian

Why do you think it is necessary to get rid of them? They are automatically installed with Lightroom updates and Camera Raw updates anyway. There really isn't any need to get rid of them. You might someday be in a situation where you could need one of those profiles. If you are using Lightroom or Photoshop or Photoshop Elements you probably already had most of those profiles installed. The installation of the DNG converter would only have added a few new profiles that were added in the latest version.

    Hi Ned,
that's exactly the problem: you can't uninstall a program on a Mac by deleting the program-.app file only. In Libraries (system and home) there are a lot of files linked to the *.app-file. If there is no uninstaller of the very program itself, deleting is useless. With a DVD drive I could use the Lightroom 3 Installation Disk. There might be an uninstaller program. But for me its helpless, as I haven't any DVD device.
So, your answer doesn't help, unfortunaley.
    But many thanks anyway.

  • Uninstall lightroom and reinstall photoshop

I got on my computer to use my Photoshop program and it was gone! It was replaced by Lightroom. I figured it was an update to Photoshop and I installed it. I absolutely HATE it and want my Photoshop back!!!! How do I go about uninstalling Lightroom and re-install Photoshop? I already pay for Photoshop... why did it change?

A Lightroom update will not update Photoshop. I don't know what you did, but unless you installed Photoshop intentionally it should be on your computer still. There is no way that a Photoshop  update would replace Photoshop with Lightroom. You must have left out some information.

Have you joined the Cloud as a Single App member for Photoshop only?
Lightroom 5 is only included in the membership fee of full Cloud members.
If you're a Single App member then you'll have to purchase Lightoom 5 separately.

First, welcome to the Apple boards.
Backup what you have because it probably contains things from the original update you want to keep - network settings, passwords, etc. A bootable clone is your best bet - and test it out.
Then you need to format your HD (full, not quick) with the Leopard DVD and then reboot with the Tiger CD and install it. I am not sure how much you can migrate "downwards" from the Leopard backup, but some things will probably come along OK. Not sure about mail since it was converted by Leopard - will it unconvert? Don't know.
I have read of some who tried to simply install Tiger over Leopard but the results were less than great. You can try it once you have that clone backup, because you won't be losing anything.
I would suggest unplugging the clone during the erase and install process until you get to the migration point.

I have a brand new Leopard based MacBook Pro that I need to revert to its previous cat form of Tiger. Would you mind walking me through it? I have Tiger disks that came with another MacBook Pro so those should have all of the machine specific items I will need. As I understand this, I start the computer from the included Leopard disk and do a full format. (I noticed that there is a new partition style named GUID Partition, is this Leopard only?) Next, I load in my Tiger disks and install from those? I do not need to do any system backups as I have no information on this computer as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Brian
