How to uninstall microft mouse drivers.

I have a usb microsoft mouse and installed the magic trackpad. I'm using Lion as my OS. My trackpad is connect but does not work. I've uninstalled the microsoft intellipoint software, but that didn't resolve the problem. Any ideas?

You need to pair it with your machine.  Open the trackpad preferences (or bluetooth preferences) and initiate the pairing from there.  The instructions are in the Magic Trackpad manual (link downloads pdf) which you should have gotten with the trackpad.
You may also need to do a smc reset.

    I have a Toshiba; running Windows 8:
My laptop wasn't recognizing my HP Photosmart C309g Scanner for some reason. Although I could print, I need the scanner, so I decided to uninstall/reinstall everything.
Perhaps I uninstalled the wrong feature first, but whatever happened, my laptop had a hiccup & windows wouldn't load.  I used the onboard problem solving feature and windows did reload.
I returned to my efforts to reinstall the printer drivers (using the CD), but when the Setup window appears,  the Install option doesn't appear.  I only have the option to Exit the software setup window.
Does this mean there are still remnants of the previous installation?  In the Programs and Features list, there are remants (HP Cust Part Program; HP Imaging Device Functions; and HP Solution Ctr, all of which were installed at the same time as the printer driver.   Nothing happens when I right click to uninstall or double click on it to uninstall.
    Any suggestions?  Thank you!

    Hello LA,
The window that I have is different from the one you posted. Please see attached for mine. When I clicked on REMOVE, a message popped up and disappeared within a couple seconds. And the message is as following: "The installer is verifying the installation, please do not reboot while this dialog is being display." This same message popped up every time REMOVE is clicked but I have no luck on removing MAX.
This test PC is for legacy testing and it was with Windows 98 and have an ISA DAQ card installed that requires DAQ driver 6.9.3. Can upgrading the test PC to Windows 2000 corrupt the installation?
Looking forward for your advice. Thank you.

  • How to uninstall drivers?

I've installed some printer drivers and updated a few a long the way. I never saw an option to uninstall the drivers before installing the new ones. Does Leopard keep the old drivers? Do they get replaced? How can I check what drivers are installed on my mac? I just don't want excess stuff installed taking up space on my MacBook.

Uninstalling isn't MacOS X's strong suit.
Here is the man page for kextunload
I'm not at my Mac now so I can't easily hunt around for more information. But this command will stop and unload a kernel extension. Then you can delete it. Make sure it is something you don't need.
There are other, similar commands to list kernel extension, load new ones, etc.
You'll need to use sudo for this. A backup would be a good idea. Be careful.

  • Uninstall NVIDIA IDE drivers--how?

I've read a lot about how the NVIDIA IDE drivers are causing problems.  How do I uninstall them?  Is it just from the driver tab for the NVIDIA PATA drivers in Device Manager or do I uninstall the NVIDIA drivers from Add/Remove programs?
    Thanks!
    Bruce

    hansh,
Thanks for the info.  I found "NVIDIA drivers" located in my Add/Remove programs, but when I clicked "Change/Remove", I did not see the NVIDIA IDE drivers listed.  I'll have to double check what drivers are actually being used for the NVIDIA PATA controller.

  • HOW DO I FIND THE DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 8 AUDIO AND VIDEO TO UNINSTALL?

I NEED TO INSTALL AND UNINSTALL WINDOWS 8 DRIVERS FOR AUDIO AND VIDEO SO THAT I MAY REINSTALL THEM, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO TO FIND THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
ALSO, IF I PURCHASE THE PROGRAM FOR UPDATING DRIVERS, WILL THAT PROGRAM ALSO INSTALL THE NEW AUDIO/VIDEO DRIVERS AND UNINSTALL THE FORMER ONES SO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH SO MANY STEPS BY MYSELF. I FIND THE DIRECTIONS TO DO THIS FOR MYSELF VERY COMPLICATED.

Hi, I would like to assist you on this matter, however I would need some information from you first.  I see that you are running windows 8. What is the make and model number of the computer that you are using?  The windows 8 that you are using, is it a 32 bit or a 64 bit operating system?  Please write back and I will be happy to do research on this issue.
    Thank you

  • How to uninstall new preference panes from system preferences?

I recently got a new mouse from Logitech, and I installed the downloadable drivers to take advantage of some of the extra features. However, it doesn't work well at all, and it's added a new preference pane titled "Logitech Control Center" that completely overrides my preferences in the "Keyboard and Mouse" settings. Does anyone know how to uninstall new preference panes that are not factory-installed? I noticed that I can right-click the Logitech Control Center icon, and an option comes up for me to "Remove the preference pane," but I'm not sure if this will simply remove the icon from System Preferences without actually uninstalling anything. If anyone can give me some help I'd greatly appreciate it!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
It will only remove the pref pane but will not uninstall anything.
I'm not familiar with the Logitech software, but I'd use Spotlight to search for it and delete whatever whatever you find. Or, better yet or use Logitech support.

  • How to Configure Mighty Mouse in Windows 7?

How to Configure Mighty Mouse in Windows 7?
For example the 3rd and 4th Buttons on the Mighty Mouse.
How to configure those actions in Windows 7?

There is no need for additional drivers.
    Why?
If you have a Wireless Mighty Mouse you have to turn your computer visible for other devices in the Bluetooth preferences - then simply search for Bluetooth devices, connect - done!
To configure the Mighty Mouse's buttons, you might want to have a look at a tool called X-Mouse Button Control (http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm).

  • HT4673 how to uninstall programs from Mountain Lion?

how to uninstall programs from Mountain Lion?

    Hi,
Theres a couple ways to uninstall programs. The launchpad is the rocket icon on the dock. If you open that you should see your apps spread out as icons as if it would be on a iphone or other iOS device. If you just click the icon with your mouse button and continue holding the mouse button the will shake and show the X. If you click that X it will ask if you want to delete the program. This only works for programs downloaded through the APP Store. If a program does not have an X then proceed to the next way of uninstalling
-- The way to delete a program that will not delete the previous way is as followed:
    Open finder
    - On the left side you will see applications > Click that
    - Then you will see all the programs on the right side.
    - If you click on the program and drag it to your trash bin it will ask if you would like to make changes and delete.
    - Just make sure not to delete anything that was preinstalled with you Mac

  • Uninstalling Fireface 400 drivers from Leopard???

Guys, I have a couple of questions for you if you can help me out. Me and my friend have recently tried to install Fireface 400 on my MacBook Pro. Manual said that we are supposed to connect interface, switch it on, than switch on computer, and that the Mac itself will recognize the interface and ask for installation of drivers. It did not happen. In fact, Leopard did not "see" it in any shape, and what I was concerned about the most is that in the System Preferences>Network section Firewire port was switched off and there was no way for us to switch it on, or at least we did not know how. Another thing...Than we installed drivers for Fireface 400 and restarted the whole thing. Fireface 400 APPEARED, but only in DEVICE section in Logic Pro Audio section. It was still not visible in system preferences. How is this possible? Now I am back home and I do not know how to uninstall fireface drivers...should I only delete the two apps that came with it or there are some more files that should be deleted in order to remove this device from system?
One more thing, is there any way to make your WHOLE MAC OS audio go through the sound card, because the sound is going through my studio monitors (via external) sound card while working under Logic, but when I play songs via iTunes or QuickTime, my integrated laptop speakers play.
    Can this be fixed?
Sorry for all this writing, I really wanna know as much as possible!
    Thanx in advance!

It sounds like your Fireface IS working properly, if you can select it in Logic's Sound Preferences, and if you can hear sound coming out of it through Logic.
Logic has its own Sound Preferences, which you've found, but in order to make sound go out of the Fireface from iTunes and other applications, go to System Preferences, select SOUND, and then select the Output tab and select the Fireface from the list of output devices. Then all of your Mac audio will go out of the Fireface.
When you select Firewire in Network Preferences, that is to set up a NETWORK between two computers using a firewire cable. You will NOT see Audio Interfaces or other things hooked up via Firewire here, so don't worry about that. You should never need to look here unless you're setting up a NETWORK between two computers, or setting up an internet connection. This has nothing to do with firewire devices.
If you see your Audio Device when you look at SOUND preferences in System Prefs, and when you look in DEVICES inside of Logic, then the drivers are installed correctly and the interface should work.
If you want to see anything and everything that is hooked up to your firewire or other ports, select ABOUT THIS MAC from the Apple menu top left, and then select MORE INFORMATION. When the System Profiler program comes up, select FIREWIRE from the column on the left and you should see every device that is connected.
    Good Luck!

  • Where can I find Mighty Mouse drivers/prerferences

Does anyone know where the default settings are located for the Mighty Mouse or the easiest way to restore them?
I installed Controller Mate and Steermouse for a bit before uninstalling them but now I can't reconfigure my Mighty Mouse. (I want to disable the right click). I'd like to use Time Machine to restore the Mighty Mouse drivers/preferences.
    Please help!

My mouse system preferences are still there and I can customise most of the Mighty Mouse functions except it won't let me disable the secondary click for some reason i.e. I make the change in preferences but the context menu still appears when I right click.
I have uninstalled the 3rd party drivers using AppZapper.
