HOw to uninstall OBIEE in Red Hat Linux?

Hello All,
How do I completely uninstall OBIEE in Linux (RHEL 5, in my case)?
I tried running setup again, and it did not have any options for removal. The only options were to update the existing installation or to perform a fresh install.
Should I simply remove the OracleBI and OracleBIData directories? Would that be the way to "uninstall" OBIEE in Linux?
Thank you for any help.

The majority of the programs in Linux can be uninstalled by simply removing the directory where they are installed. OBIEE is not the exception.

• How to Install Oracle on Red Hat Linux?

My System is having P4 1.8 GHz Processor with 128 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD(7 GB Linux Partition + 1 GB Swap Partition). I have installed Red Hat Linux 9(Server). Now, I want to install Oracle 9 on this syste. But I don't know how to install it. Anyone who knows this, plz, mail me the necessary system requirements alongwith some settings, if any. My Email ID is [email protected]/[email protected]

I think you'll have some problems with 128MB RAM.....

:P Nonsense, but I do hope that hard drive is one of those new, fancy flash hard drives, otherwise the system will spend so much time swapping that it won't get past the installer.

• Kernel Parameters on Red Hat Linux

The installation instructions require us to set cetain kernel
parameters, such as SHMMAX, SHMSEG, SEMMNS, and so on.
Does anyone know how this is done for Red Hat Linux? I have
been hunting around the documentation and public domain web-
sites for a couple of weeks now and I haven't found any
reference to how to set these parameters.
Eternally grateful for any insights...

I had problems with 8i and 32Meg of SHMMAX (sometimes, when I
published an EJB, Oracle crashed). I didn't recompiled the
kernel, only did
echo 134217728 > /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax.
This limited the maximum shared memory to 128Meg (I installed
with JavaVM enabled), and I my problems got away.

• How to install Oracle 10g on to Red Hat Linux 5 Server

I'm new to both Linux and Oracle. I've been working on an installion of Oracle 10g on a Red Hat Linux 5 Server for about 2 weeks. I've been doing a lot of reading about installing Oracle on a Linux environment. I finally got to the installation portion and the Oracle Installer displayed a message that I had to have Red Hat 4 or 4 Enterprise to continue.
How can Install Oracle 10g onto a Red Hat 5 Linux Server"? Is there an option that I can use to bypass the OS checking?
Thanks

Unfortunately there is no way to access metalink without a valid account. You could then just try to skip preinstall requisites with this clause:
./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs
or this method:
Copy the oraparam.ini from the installation source install/oraparam.ini to /tmp directory.
Edit the file /tmp/oraparam.ini so this file reads:
After
[Certified Versions]
Linux=redhat-3,SuSE-9,redhat-4,UnitedLinux-1.0,asianux-1,asianux-2,redhat-5
also, make sure you have these packages installed:
# rpm -ivh gcc-c++-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm gcc-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm
libstdc++-devel-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm glibc-devel-2.5-12.i386.rpm
glibc-headers-2.5-12.i386.rpm libgomp-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm

• How to upgrdae Oracle Cluster on Red Hat Linux 3 to Red hat Linux 4 AS U 7

We need to upgrade our Clustered (2 Nodes) Oracle Database environment on Linux environment to Red Hat 4 AS 7. The current OS version is Red Hat 3 update 6. We use EMC SAN Storage as shared storage (OCFS and Raw Devices) for our 9i and 10g databases
Question: We will install (on local disks) Red Hat 4 AS Update 7 and then install ocfs and ASMlib RPMs. Is there any risk of loosing the existing (on Red Hat 3 update 6) ocfs file systems and raw devices (from EMC SAN Storgae) after we do fresh install of OS and ocfs and ASMlib RPMs? How can we keep the shared storage data quickly available (without restore from the backup) to the system after installing Red Hat 4 AS Update 7 and mentioned RPMs?

Get the official installation guides at
http://service.sap.com/instguides
However, they won't contain "now enter command X and now enter command Y". You will need to have a basic understanding what you are doing before you can install a SAP system (and the database).
