How to uninstall photoshop CS2

I have tried everything to uninstall an old version of CS2. Is there anything that works?

Sometimes the Add/Remove programs in Windows does not work on CS2.
If you have your original CS2 disc, you run the installer and use the Remove option if the Control panel does not work.
CS2 Mac version is only for the older PPC Macs or OSX 10.6.8 Macs running Rosetta. Small chance you have this.

  • How To Uninstall Photoshop CC (2014) from Creative Cloud (not listed in Program and Features)

My membership for Creative Cloud has expired and I want to uninstall Photoshop CC 2014 from my system.
The ONLY Adobe application listed under 'Program and Features' (Windows 8.1) is the Adobe Creative Cloud, however when I uninstall that all the Adobe Photoshop and Bridge system files remain. When double clicking on photoshop.exe (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\photoshop.exe)  I get the Creative Cloud 'Renew your Subscription' screen.  After then rebooting and reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop, it shows that Photoshop CC, Photoshop CC (2014), and Bridge CC are installed and are all 'up to date'
I have searched everywhere on my system for photoshop uninstall files without success.
Please advise how to delete/uninstall all applications installed by Adobe Creative Cloud when the applications are not listed in the Control Panel 'Programs and Features'

Thank you for the link. I don't want to sound rude, but I said the programs installed by Creative Cloud Desktop are NOT listed in Windows Control Panel's  'Programs and Features'. The link provided is useless.
The only Adobe software listed under 'Program and Features' ('Add or Remove Programs' for Windows XP users) is the Creative Cloud Desktop program itself and when uninstalling that, it does NOT uninstall Photoshop CC (2014) or Adobe Bridge CC. When selecting uninstall for Creative Cloud, no Change options are provided to remove Photoshop CC. Uninstalling Creative Cloud Desktop leaves all Photoshop and Bridge system files intact.
Again, I want to uninstall Photoshop CC that was installed by Creative Cloud Desktop and is NOT listed under Program and Features.

  • How to uninstall Photoshop CS6 when the "Adobe Installers" is missing from the Application/Utilities/.......(missing Adobe Installers)"?

I  recently had all of our information from an older iMac transferred to a new iMac (transfer done through the Mac store).  Now when I try to open up Photoshop CS6 from the dock, get a response that says  :Configuration Error  and below that  "Error: 16".   It also says to uninstall Photoshop and then to  re-install it.  The problem is that somewhere in the past, the Adobe Installer was deleted, so am unable to continue with the process- so am unable to uninstall.  Appreciate any help.  Have not had any problems prior to this.

I do not own a Mac and never have so I have little to offer in the way of how get something uninstalled on one.  If the Cleaner did not recognize that you have CS6 installed there are two things I could think of that I would consider - 1) just try reinstalling CS6  2) just delete anything you can find relative to CS6 and try reinstalling it.  The second is option is the least recommended from my standpoint since I do not know what the impact might be, but I don't think trying the first would hurt much... it might just get the installer in place and then provide you with the ability to uninstall.

You can try to download  CC Cleaner Tool
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Select option for CS6/ creative cloud and select option for Photoshop CC , if listed.
If you are getting up to date error , you can also try:
CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

  • How to download photoshop cs2

how i can download photoshop cs2 trial version

Is there a particular reason you wanted a trial of photoshop cs2 and not a newer version of photoshop?
I don't know if you get a photoshop cs2 trial from adobe anymore.
Which operating system are you using?
Here are the trial versions of photoshop and photoshop elements adobe still has, but keep in mind, you can only actually buy photoshop cc or photoshop cs6 and photoshop elements 13 as of now.
The rest are just provided for owners of previous versions that may have misplaced their install media.

  • Uninstalling Photoshop CS2 from tiger

I have a macbook running 10.4.11 and I have a version on Adobe Photoshop CS2 installed that is very slow and wonky. It was installed at an old office and I do not have the CD's. I want to uninstall it and install a new version of CS3 which I heard works a lot better. Any ideas on the best way to do this?? Thanks-Mott

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Most applications create preference files which are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can located them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.
There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
    AppZapper
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at www.versiontracker.com or www.mackupdate.com.
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on removing software.

Yes you will have to upgrade, But look at this from Adobe on compatability and consider carefully your options. Specifically droplets only work on CS5 for example. Also consider any plugins you might be using and there compaability.

  • How to uninstall photoshop cc

I want to uninstall photoshop cc from my mac?

Well that was news to me Bruce.  I don't know if it was my dodgy eyesight, but I'd never noticed the little cog icon, although it is a bit on the feint side, and not there until you hover over an app name.  I've always told folk to uninstall via the Control panel for Windows users, and said now't to Mac users.  I'll know better now, thanks.

  • How do I uninstall Photoshop CS2 on Mac OSX 6.4.11

I am getting the error "Could not complete your request because of a program error" on starting CS2 or on doing any operations.
I have tried simply trashing the CS2 folder and reinstalling. Get same error.
Need to uninstall other parts. How do I do that???
    I cannot locate an uninstaller
    What need to be trashed?

At least since CS3, for sure, there's an uninstaller for Photoshop that gets installed in ./Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers/ when you install Photoshop.  Can't remember whether there was one for CS2 already or not.
Re-installing without first trashing Photoshop preferences is futile, as you end up right back where you started.  To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Command+Option+Shift. Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"; or remove the files manually.  This tech note describes the location of Photoshop preferences files in CS4; I can't immediately locate a similar note for CS2.
You should also Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility before and after every installation, re-install, update or upgrade of any application or the OS.

  • How to install Photoshop CS2 on (Mac OSX) Yosemite 10.10.2

is it possible? please help me

CS2 will not install or run on modern Macs with Intel chips running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite).
CS2 is an old PowerPC application written for older Macs with PowerPC chips (incompatible with Intel chips) running OS X up to 10.3.8.
Modern Macs (all have Intel processors) running OS X with Rosetta (which enables Intel chips to run PowerPC software) will run CS2 but Rosetta was discontinued by Apple in OS X 10.7.
