How to uninstall powermanagement version 1.51a from winows7

version 1.51a powermanagement software installed to windows7 but cannot be uninstalled. When run uninstall from control panel the message says the program cannot run on this platform.

Thank you very much Tim.
I found the below solution suggested by the link provided by you.
To uninstall SP1 using Programs and Features
Open Control Panel, click Programs, and then click View Installed Updates.
In the Microsoft Windows list, right-click Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB976932), and then click Uninstall.
When prompted, restart the computer.
As I have already mentioned with my first post, I am not able to find the said (KB976932) from view installed updates. Hence the solution won't work for my situation.
Let me answer you question "Why I need to uninstall SP1". We have got a field issue with one of our web application. We are trying to reproduce that issue. Windows server 2008 R2 standard SP1 doesn't produce that problem. So we are trying to setup an exactly
the same OS environment as of customer and the customer's OS is Windows server 2008 Standard edition 64-bit. Though we don't have the required OS image, we thought of removing SP1 from the existing available OS which might give us a chance to debug the issue.
We can understand this is not a good idea. But we don't have other solution except download the entire OS from Microsoft site.
Thank you very much.

    With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
    what version of iPhoto are you using?
    what system version are you running?
    what fixes have you tried?
    how is the EHD where the library is located formatted?
    did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?

  • How To Uninstall Earlier Versions of Flash Player???

    Can anyone help?!
    I recently installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player
    V. 10, and the instructions said it would be best to uninstall any
    earlier versions of the Player. I have 3 installations of Adobe
    Flash Player V. 9, and 1 installation of Macromedia Flash 5.0 on
    this computer, and haven't the foggiest notion of how to uninstall
    them! They are all located in the Windows i.386 folder which I've
    been told is dangerous to play around with. The new installation of
    V. 10 went directly to C:\Windows\System32\Macromedia\Flash, which
    is right where it should be.
    Anyone have a clue as to how to uninstall these earlier
    versions and if it's necessary to do so at all?
    Also, when running Flash Player V. 10, I've been getting an
    error message when on IE 6.0 that says, "it's encountered a problem
    with an Add-On' and need to close - The following add-on was
    running when this problem occurred: File: Flash10a.ocx - Adobe
    Flash Player, Adobe Systems". Does anyone know what could be the
    problem with this "add-on", and how to fix it?
    Many thanx,
    Lida :-)

    I have a similar problem with version 9c. It has left an
    entry in my registry pointing to a file that was appearantly
    uninstalled during an upgrade. The result is an incomplete
    uninstall. I think that earlier versions of the program had bugs in
    the uninstall or upgrade work that left these nasty messes in our
    computers. There is an uninstall program available on the website
    for version 9(x) that may work for you. Here is how to get to it:
    Go to this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
    Under "Windows 2000/XP/Vista" there is an "Uninstaller"
    Click on it and either save it to a download directory and
    run the uninstaller from there or,
    click the "run" button and run it from the web site (like I
    did). In either case this will uninstall the version on your
    computer now. In my case it did not clean up the registry issue
    though. It did permit me to do a clean installation of the current
    version. I hope this helps!!

  • How to uninstall Route 66 navigation software from...

    I am looking to update my sat nav application, but I looks like I need to uninstall the version that I currently have on the phone.  I looks like it's installed on the phone memory and not on the memory card because when I remove the card, the sat nav still works.
    I've looked everywhere and tried everything, but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to uninstall this appication.  Any idea?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi mike6221
    Apart from loss of data issue, a hard reset by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code) returning device to "out of the box condition" should do the job as N95 does not have User Data Preservation feature and all user installed applications will be deleted.

  • Uninstalling All versions of Java from Windows Silent

    Hi Everyone,
    If there is something somewhere on Sun sites that does this already I appologize, but I have to get all previous version of Java from Sun uninstalled from over 700 hundred PCs and so I have created a set of scripts to uninstall all previous versions.
    You would copy 'java-uninstall.bat' and 'java-uninstaller.vbs' to c:\temp (make sure you have one) the script can be modified for another location of your choosing. Then you can execite the batch file or have it scheduled to do that with the NT 'AT' command. It will uninstall anything that shows up in Add/Remove programs with 'Java' in the displayname and 'Sun' as the publisher. This would including removal of SDK amd JRE versions, so keep that in mind.
    This could probably be used in the login script, but thats not how I deploy updates, it may be fashioned to work with SMS, I don't know. I have a script that goes through network copying files to c$ shares and scheduling it for later in the night.
    Also note this just uninstalls the older versions I have another script that does the reinstalling of the newer version.
    Files below:
    [java-uninstall.bat]
    REM <start>
    @echo off
    if not exist c:\temp\. mkdir c:\temp
    REM Export the Uninstall registry keys
    start /wait "" REGEDIT /E c:\temp\registry.tmp HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall
    REM Filter only the {} keys that Java might be in
    type c:\temp\registry.tmp | find /i "\{" | find /i "}]" > c:\temp\uninstall.tmp
    REM Run the Vbscript that uses this file to find Java Sun entries to uninstall
    cscript c:\temp\java-uninstaller.vbs
    REM <end>
    [java-uninstaller.vbs]
    '<start>
    Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    Dim fso, MyFile
    Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    Const ForReading = 1, ForWriting = 2
    'Open the exported registry file
    Set MyFile = fso.OpenTextFile("c:\temp\uninstall.tmp", ForReading)
    Do While mYFile.AtEndOfStream <> True
         ReadLineTextFile = MyFile.ReadLine
         Uninstall = ReadLineTextFile
         CLSID = Mid(Uninstall, 73, 38)
         On Error Resume Next
         'DisplayName
         DisplayName=WshShell.RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\"+CLSID+"\DisplayName")
         'Publisher
         Publisher=WshShell.RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\"+CLSID+"\Publisher")
         'Search for presence of Java and Sun in DisplayName and Publisher
         search1 = Instr(1, DisplayName, "Java", 1)
         search2 = Instr(1, Publisher, "Sun", 1)
         'Execute removal if there is a match
         Uninstaller="MsiExec.exe /X"&CLSID+" /QN"
         if search1>0 And search2>0 Then Return = WshShell.Run(Uninstaller , 1, TRUE)
    Loop
    '<end>

    Here is a batch file that I wrote to accomplish the same objective of uninstalling all versions of Java Virtual Machine JVM from a XP/Vista box:
    You can name it anything you like, such as cleanjava.bat:
    @echo off & cls
    Rem List all Installation subkeys from uninstall key.
    echo Searching Registry for Java Installs
    for /f %%I in ('reg query HKLM\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall') do echo %%I | find "{" > nul && call :All-Installations %%I
    echo Search Complete..
    goto :EOF
    :All-Installations
    Rem Filter out all but the Sun Installations
    for /f "tokens=2*" %%T in ('reg query %1 /v Publisher 2^> nul') do echo %%U | find "Sun" > nul && call :Sun-Installations %1
    goto :EOF
    :Sun-Installations
    Rem Filter out all but the Sun-Java Installations. Note the tilda + n, which drops all the subkeys from the path
    for /f "tokens=2*" %%T in ('reg query %1 /v DisplayName 2^> nul') do echo  . Uninstalling - %%U: | find "Java" && call :Sun-Java-Installs %~n1
    goto :EOF
    :Sun-Java-Installs
    Rem Run Uninstaller for the installation
    MsiExec.exe /x%1 /qb
    echo  . Uninstall Complete, Resuming Search..
    goto :EOFAdditional Info: http://tinyurl.com/29cdah

  • How to uninstall previous versions of lightroom?

    how do you uninstall previous versions of lightroom?
    Do you also need to delete any folders?
    I have Updated to the new LR CC version a couple of days ago and need space.

    Knowing whether you are using a Mac or a PC would be rather important to answer your question.
    Anyhow, there is not need to delete any program folder manually. Simply use the respective method of your OS.
    LR CC created a copy of your LR5 catalog and upgraded it. If you remove LR5 you might want to remove the catalog file as well as the preview folder (make sure not to delete the new ones of LR CC ).
    Here is how to find everything: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-41.html

  • How to uninstall java 8 update 40 from my macbook air

    Using MacBook Air Mid 2012, software OS X 10.10.2.  Want to uninstall Java 8 Update 40 from my system
    as it is causing some problems in reading some files.  Could someone guide me how to do that as the Java
    software does not show in Applications folder and I am unable to find any other way.

    The feature is called Continuity.
    And it requires an iPhone using the same  Apple ID for Messages as the Mac, and that Text Message Forwarding be enabled in Messages settings on the iPhone.
    If all is set correctly, try signing out and back in of Messages on both the iPhone, and the Mac.

  • Uninstalling Multiple Versions of Flashplayer from 10,000 Machines

    We are preparing to upgrade Adobe Flasplayer to the most recent version. The major headache in the past has been uninstalling older versions of Adobe Flash Player. I downloaded uninstall_flash_player.exe and cannot even get a list of switches to use with the /? switch. I keep getting a message stating
    Adobe Flash Player Installer/Uninstaller 10.3 r181 has encoutnered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    The frustration level in attempting to use your products on a large network is difficutl to describe, but I am frustrated already and have not even gotten past the first step. Needless to say I do not have the option to touch each machine manually. I am running this on a Windows XP Service Pack 3 machine, but will also be uninstalling/installing on 64 bit Windows 7 machines.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Sandy Martin,
    I ran your query past a member of the engineering team that focuses on install and uninstall issues, and got the following response:
    Can you please ask [the poster] for the FlashInstall.log file located in \Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash directory and a screenshot of the error?
    Also, if he/she has 10,000 machines to update, I hope they’re licensing the player and distributing it via SMS Catalog.  Info here http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html and details for this type of deployment are posted in the Admin Catalog (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html).
    I also happened across an article from the Adobe Developer Center that addresses the issue of enterprise deployments: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/enterprise_deployment.html.
    Hope this helps,

  • Do I need to and how to uninstall older version of JDK 7.0

    Hi,all I have installed both JDK 1.7 update 21(1.7.0.210) and 51(1.7.0.510), and so I wonder do I need to uninstall the older version which is JDK 1.7 update 21, as they both show up in the list of `Programs and Features` on Windows. Second, I tried Java Uninstall Tool, it only reports `There are no older versions of Java on your computer`. So I wonder can I just use the `Programs and Features` that manually uninstall any version of Java if I need to.
    cheers

    As I also set up `JAVA_HOME` to `jdk1.7.0_21` when I tried to install Android Developer Kit, so do I need to update `JAVA_HOME` accordingly? The installation was tricky, and I don't know if it is this setting up `JAVA_HOME` step made the ADT installation work.
    If the installation instructions of this product require setting a JAVA_HOME variable then yes, otherwise no.
    Trying is certainly a good teacher, but I'd rather read documentation first to at least make it educated tries.

    Please check this forum using advanced search option. You will find hundreds of threads where you can read how to install WXP on newer notebook model.
    BTW: create recovery DVD before you start to install own OS.

  • How to uninstall trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro from a mac?

    I installed a trial version Adobe Acrobat Pro from the Creative Cloud list on my Mac Pro 10.7.5. First, although I was supposed to have a 30 day free trial, it expired immediately. Worse, every time I try to open my former Adober Acrobat, I get prompted to buy a yearly subscription to Acrobat pro and cannot use my older version. I have tried various ways to uninstall the Acrobat Pro version and to get back to normal, with no success. Anyone out there to help or must I spend money on an international call to ask Adobe what to do? It seems that they have shut down their "chat" service. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Robert

    This is not a Technical Communications Suite product. If this is AE CS4 you can try the CS4 Clean Script:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
    If that fails, try the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Tool.
    If that fails try the AE forum.

  • How to Uninstall Adobe Acrobat 9.0 from Vista?

    On my laptop (Windows Vista), I have a Adobe Acrobat 9.0 which I need to uninstall. It was giving me limited access and use. To remedy this, I installed, Adobe Reader 8.0. That works fine but when I want to read pdf files, the 9.0 version pops up first and gives me a message that I'm unable to read the file. I can't always elect "Save Target As" to opt to use the 8.0 version of Reader (i.e. viewing bank statements).
    When I went to delete Adobe 9.0 from my C drive, I was denied access because I "don't have permission".
    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    You can only uninstall from an administrative account. Be aware you are not supposed to have Reader and Acrobat on the same machine. Uninstalling Acrobat 9 will break Reader which will need to be re-installed. For Vista compatability make sure you update to 8.1.3 or later.

  • How to download multiple versions of iTunes from a single computer?

    Is there an Apple ftp or other site where any current version of iTunes can be downloaded?   I have a 32 bit Windows computer that can't do downloads, so I have to use another computer to download iTunes. If I try to download from a Mac it only offers the Mac version and my other Windows computer only offers the 64 bit version because it is 64 bit.  I could not find any link on the pages to download other versions of iTunes.  If I disable javascript I can see options to download all the versions but then the download button does not work.  So if anyone knows of a direct link to the different versions of iTunes and Quicktime, I would love to know what it is so I can get the updates I need.

    See the further information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct download links for iTunes. iTunes no longer needs QuickTime so you could simply uninstall it. Otherwise this should do it: QuickTimeInstaller.exe (V7.7.5).

  • How to uninstall Forms and Reports 6 from XP?

    Dear Experts,
    I have an XP machine.
    On it, is Oracle DB 11.2. As well, there is Oracle Forms and Reports 6i. From the start, programs menu, there are:
    Oracle for Windows NT
    Oracle Forms and Reports 6I
    Oracle Forms and Reports 6I doc
    Oracle OLAP client 2.2
    Oracle Reports 6I
    Oracle Reports 6I Admin
    I notice that it seems to be running as service. I can find the process id / PID with sysinternals. PID is: 1364, services.exe(876). Some of the files/processes are:
    NL80.DLL, SQLNET. Ora805.dll. All under c:\oracle\reports6
    But I can't figure out which service it is, when I look at the windows services. Although the command line is:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs
    When I go to uninstall forms and reports using OUI, I see two Oracle homes.
    OraDb11G_home1
    DEFAULT_HOME
    Reports is listed under DEFAULT_HOME. But unlike OraDb11G_home1, in DEFAULT_HOME, there are no check boxes at all to select these products to uninstall.
    1)
    Without uninstalling the database, how can I uninstall forms and reports?
    2)
    How can I tell which service is running forms and reports?
    Thanks a lot!

    You can delete these items directly from Start menu and this is the first step :
    Oracle for Windows NT
    Oracle Forms and Reports 6I
    Oracle Forms and Reports 6I doc
    Oracle OLAP client 2.2
    Oracle Reports 6I
    Oracle Reports 6I Admin
    The second step : Delete the home of developer6i from registry
    And the third : Delete the directory (orant) which the contents of forms and reports 6i are stored in (c:\orant by default)
    When I want to delete forms and reports 6i I follow these steps above.
    hope that help you.
    Any comments from experts are very appreciated :)
