How to uninstall/remove updates??!

hi gents,
I have downloaded some updates that i now want to remove (stuff that i'm not using and which occupy a lot of resources like garageband for example)..
what should i do to remove those updates (the ones i can see from system preference>software update>installed updates)?

To remove an Apple Application Update requires deleting and re-installing the Application from the Tiger install disc or if you purchased iLife 05 which includes Garage Band, deleting and re-installing Garage Band from the iLife 05 install disc and then don't re-install the application update.
The same for a Tiger OS or Security Update. If your Tiger install disc includes 10.4.0 and you updated to 10.4.2 and want to revert back to 10.4.1 requires re-installing Tiger from the install disc via an Archive & Install and then install the 10.4.1 Update only.
If you want to remove Garage Band or another application from the hard drive you don't need or use, check Uninstalling applications and to free up additional hard drive space, check Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.

If you mean from the Updates tab in the App Store app then you can't - any updates that you've downloaded will disappear off that last in 30 days. If you don't want to install an app update then as far as I know they can't be removed from the Updates tab.
If you want to got back to a previous version of an app then do you have a copy of that previous version anywhere ? If you do then you can delete the app from your iPad (which will also delete its content) and sync back the previous version.
If you mean an iOS update that you've installed then you can't, downgrading the iOS version isn't supported by Apple.

My requirement is to uninstall/remove security update for SQL

Apple does not support intermediate iOS updates...you can only update to the latest iOS version that will run on your iOS device. Therefore, you have to update to iOS 8.1, not 7.1.2. The files appropriate to your device are only available in 8.1.

My guess is HD>Library>Application Support>Garageband>Learn to Play>Basic Lessons and trash the ones you don't want.

How to uninstall/remove OSX Server Demo?

I installed the OSX Server Demo disc I received from Apple that has an expiry date June 30th, 2009. Long story short, it's not suitable for my needs. Now, how do I remove it without affecting anything existing. There doesn't seemed to be any option anywhere.

Back up your data and do an archive and install of the client software.
If it was me, I would back up the data, boot from the client disk and format the drive, or use my disk image I made of the machine prior to installing server.

How to uninstall/remove Quicktime SDK?

I have mistakenly installed Quicktime SDK and want to remove it. I have updated the player to the newest version 7.0.4 and it works ok. Now the software update wants to update the SDK, but I don't need the SDK at all.

You have three choices, update it. Tell software update to ignore updates for it. Uninstall it manually. You can use Pacifist (shareware) to read the QuickTime7SDK.pkg in your /Library/Receipts which will show you what files were installed.
You could also just run the installer again, when you get to the "Select Destination" screen, pull down the File menu and "Show files" to see what goes where.

I was facing problem during 11g installation & i'm trying to reinstall 11g database again, but at step8 of 13, it show the error [INS-32021] Insufficient disk space on this volume for the selected Oracle home. i guess because of the previous database files still exist, anyone can give some links or solution ?

I'm running both 11g as well as 10g on Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 Update 1 without any problem.
Yes I know that it isn't supported but it works.
To your question:
a. is it the ORACLE_HOME it complains about or is it temp? Very often temp fills up during an installation and is not freed after the installation ends.
b. for a cleanup of the existing installation you should remove OraInventory and the files in /etc (like oratab, oraInst.loc).
BTW: I have my own blog (streetkiter.wordpress.com) where I wrote a post how to install 11g and 10g (!) RAC on Oracle Linux 6.
