How to uninstall Skype completely on an Android ta...

Hi everyone, here's my issue:
I use a Samsung tablet, and although I've recently downloaded it for one special conversation, I don't want to use Skype there. I've thus uninstalled it.
BUT. Every time I turn my tablet on, I get the sad cloud icon telling me Skype can't connect.
1. When I installed Skype, the first thing I did was to TURN OFF the automatic connection. Why is it trying to connect on its own when I've specifically told it I didn't want an automatic connection?
2. I'VE UNINSTALLED THE APLICATION TWICE ANYWAY. There should be nothing left, especially not something trying to connect to something I don't want to use!
I've looked at my files on the tablet and with a computer, there's no file or folder called Skype that I could suppress on my own. There must be some Skype leftovers somewhere on my tablet, and it's not only extremely annoying, it's unacceptable.
Anyone got a solution for that?
PS: Why on Earth do I have to freaking sign in on a support forum which would work just as well with anonymous posts? Don't you have enough of my private data already, Skype? I'M TRYING TO GET RID OF YOU.
PPS: Why oh why do you propose to sign in only after I've written my post and then proceed to eat said post, so I have to type it again once you've forced me to sign in?
PPPS: Right now I really really hate you Skype.

I have the same problem.
It s even hard to uninstall formally.
Eat my heart, soul, life out, you computer masons!
You think you have the wisdom and the authority.
Ridiculous evolution this.

  • How to uninstall Skype

    Hello,
I am looking for a way to uninstall Skype, which is not stored in Application folder in Macintosh HD, but rather show up as if it's one of external hard drives connected to Mac. When I drag the icon to trash, it only "rejects." When I reboot my computer, the icon show up again on the desktop. How can I get rid of it permanently.
    Thanks in advance.

    Niel,
Thanks for your response. I followed your instruction, but somehow I couldn't empty the trash. The message came up and said, "the operation cannot be completed because the item is in use." This happened even after I ejected the icon from the desktop. Skype is NOT in use as far as I can tell.
Any thought? Thanks again in advance.

  • How to uninstall Skype Extender in Macbook Pro?

Then I submit you didn't look in /Library/LaunchAgents on your boot volume as opposed to ~/Library/LaunchAgents in you user (home) directory.
I just ran the installer to verify my assumtions about that installer.  Here's all the stuff that that installer installs:
    /Applications/SkypeExtenderMenu.app
    /Applications/SkypeExtender.app
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.zysk.SkypeExtenderMenu.Launch.plist
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.zysk.SkypeExtender.Launch.plist
    /Library/Frameworks/Skype.framework
    /private/var/db/receipts/com.zysk.skypeextender/com.zysk.*
[* represents 12 files all beginning with com.zysk. which I didn't bother to list here]
So those guys must be there. I manually removed all this stuff, logged out, back in, and there are no SkypeExtender apps running just as I knew there wouldn't be.
Note, I didn't mention it previously but you should also toss the framework (and maybe receipts too if you want a full removal of all the SkypeExtender stuff) although it's not hurting anything being there other than taking up a little disk space.

  • How to uninstall Oracle completely

    Hello all,
I would like to uninstall Oracle completely, and take it out of my accounts at the start up, how can I do that?
I uninstalled it using the the universal installer, but I still have a whole directory sitting on my computer under C;/ how can I clean that?
    Thank you
    Olga

Kindly follow the checklist. I have many times done clean installation on windows using oracle 9i fortunately did not face any issues. Thank you
    ===========checlist for windows =================
Uninstall all Oracle components using the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI).
Run regedit.exe and delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE key. This contains registry entires for all Oracle products.
Delete any references to Oracle services left behind in the following part of the registry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Ora*
It should be pretty obvious which ones relate to Oracle.
    Reboot your machine.
Delete the "C:\Oracle" directory, or whatever directory is your ORACLE_BASE.
    Delete the "C:\Program Files\Oracle" directory.
Empty the contents of your "c:\temp" directory.
    Empty your recycle bin.
At this point your machine will be as clean of Oracle components as it can be without a complete OS reinstall.
Remember, manually editing your registry can be very destructive and force an OS reinstall so only do it as a last resort.
    ======== for unix ==================
Uninstalling all products from UNIX is a lot more consistent. If you do need to resort to a manual uninstall you should do something like:
Uninstall all Oracle components using the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI).
Stop any outstanding processes using the appropriate utilities:
    # oemctl stop oms user/password
    # agentctl stop
    # lsnrctl stop
Alternatively you can kill them using the kill -9 pid command as the root user.
Delete the files and directories below the $ORACLE_HOME:
    # cd $ORACLE_HOME
    # rm -Rf *
With the exception of the product directory, delete directories below the $ORACLE_BASE.
    # cd $ORACLE_BASE
    # rm -Rf admin doc jre o*
Delete the /etc/oratab file. If using 9iAS delete the /etc/emtab file also.
    # rm /etc/oratab /etc/emtab

  • How to uninstall isync completely

    Hi!
After installing Lion the isync icon remained in the menu bar. As I'm not using it anymore I wanted to uninstall isync completely from my system. How can I do it?
    Thanks,
    Bjoern

That is not an iSync menu. It is a system-wide Sync menu and is used by MobileMe and many other syncing applications, not just the iSync application (which is the only part that no longer exists).
To remove the Sync menu bar icon, just drag it from the menu bar whilst holding down the cmd key.

  • How to uninstall app completely?

    Dear members,
How do I uninstall an application completely so that if I try and reinstall say a trial version it will not say this app has been previously installed? Is it just a matter of dragging the app from the Applications folder to Trash, or would I need a 3rd party software to do this for me. If so any recommendations.
    Regards
    Max

Hard to say, not knowing which app. But probably look in the Preferences folder for any file with the name of the application. Trash that file then try.
Other than thart, files may be in the Extensions folder or Application Support.

You can try using this tool to remove all traces of previous version(s) of Reader:

It may be better to remove all versions of Reader, and then download the offline Reader installer from

  • How to uninstall DiskDrill completely?

    Hi,
I tried every method of deleting it. It still comes after Starting my Mac.Please tell a a proper way to eliminate it fully.
    Thanks

You can only full remove it if you know the directory structure of the Mac OS folders. Some files are added to Library and Applications folder deep down the tree. I suggest you do a web search for useful articles on how to remove application files from OS tree structure. I myself removed Disk Drill app from my OS X but it took me take some advise from an expert since I was unaware of Mac system tree.

  • How to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 completely?

How to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 and Adobe Download Manager completely?
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 and I don't want to uninstall that.

    Hi
Most Mac applications come in self-contained packages (ctrl-click, or right-click, & you will see Show Package Contents), they can just be dragged to the trash.
Some applications have their own uninstaller which must be run.
With Adobe Reader 8, I believe the icon in Applications is a folder so just drag it to the trash & empty the trash. I believe Download Manager (Applications/Utilities) should be the same. Someone may know different.
There is also AppZapper or AppDelete. These work by you dragging & dropping the application you wish to delete onto its icon, AppZapper/AppDelete then pulls all parts of that application together then moves it to the trash.

  • How can I uninstall JVM completely?

I would like to uninstall JVM completely for testing an application. So I've removed the JDK (j2sdk1.4.1_03) in the add/remove programs.
How can I check the JVM does not exist in the computer? I've done steps 1 & 2 to check it. Is that enough?
    1. In control Panel, I could not find the Java Plug-in Icon.
    2. In IE->Tools->Internet Options->Advanced, I cannot find the Sun Java option.
Does it mean that I completely removed JVM?
