How to uninstall the adobe reader

I have the ADobe Reader in my system and I want to uninstall it. Could you help me on how I could I uninstall it.

If you are running Windows, you should be able to uninstall it like anything else by going to Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

In general Adobe needs to offer Ubuntu (Linux) support. I don't use Windows anymore and will go with whatever company provides me the Plug In's I need to function. They didn't offer any help with Ubuntu 10.045 (Linux). Please offer the instructions and automatic (non-terminal) uninstaller. Also, I want an automatic installer for Ubuntu 10 (Linux) & Firefox 3.6 that is easy like like you have for Windows and like Sun's Java has for Linux.

You should go to this site to see what versions of Flash Player and Shockwave Player you have installed.

The versions you are listing (10.0 r12, 10.0 r2) appear to be Shockwave Plauer versions, not Flash Player.
If you want to uninstall Flash Player, there should be an uninstaller in the install directory. I do not know where that is on Linux.

I need to know how to fix the Adobe reader so I can read the same PDF docs, my bank statements, etc that I have always been able to read before.

Then why was I able to read them before? I downloaded a PDF study guide that I have been using for weeks. Then all of a sudden, a couple days after I purchased rights from ADOBE to convert from text to PDF everything comes up in a different fot. It is in a draft type of font that is very light, the caps are bold and it is difficult to read. I can still read the Study Guide, though it is hard on my eyes, but my bank statements are illegible. Now please tell me if it isn't Reader, what is it? and HOW DO I FIX IT?

Dear Forum,
Last night I attempted to install Photoshop Elements 6 for OS X and ran into problems. I have the Photoshop installed and registered. But it also had the Adobe Reader as a choice. So,I thought that the reader is probably required to read the users guide. So, I had problems downloading it, and ended up with multiple downloads which I would like to uninstall. I have one icon for the Adobe Reader Installer, and 3 other reader icons showing in applications. How do I uninstall these extra duplicates. I was up all night with this problem. I have an iMac which is 6 months old, 3 G RAM. I use Firefox 3 most of the time. I have other programs which I would like to load, so I don't want to use up memory if I don't have to. Also, it shows a circle with a slash through it sometimes which says it is not can't be used in this architecture. Help!

A program doesn't use any memory at all unless you actually start it,
so don't be concerned about using memory.

In Adobe Reader XI: When I try to "Save As" a (.pdf) file [I was sent over the Internet] it automatically defaults to the Temporary Internet Files/Content.EI5/ (one of the many XYZABC folder).
This means I have to press in many buttons and mouse moves to hunt for Libraries/Documents/My Document Files Location.
I'd like to change that default folder to my own special folder (i.e.: Libraries/Documents/My Documents. How can I do this?
As an alternate, is there an easy way to get to "My Documents" directory in one (1) click so I can pick the sub-directory I what to "Save As" the .pdf file?

Per your request: my OS is Windows 7 Pro,
the computer is a Dell 457T (i7 x64 w/ 8 Gb memory),
and The browser is Internet Explorer 11 (this may change to Foxfire).
I hope I can do as you mentioned and "OS you can add a direct link to the Documents folder to the Places Bar on the left side of the Save dialog."
Now I find the need for step-by-step instructions to do anything with computers - like a beginner.
It seemed that Adobe Reader used to be able to "Save As" *.pdf files easier.
As an aside: I am an old guy, learned DOS and early Windows and was quite good at it and have forgotten much of it over the years. Mostly because every time Microsoft has Upgraded their programs they take away parts I used and changed the menus so I can't find items I might want to use, as time went by I grew tired of re-learning how to use a program instead of being productive at work.
If your method of moving *.pdf files can be done with my OS and IE it will be greatly appreciative.

How to uninstall manually Adobe Reader XI in a corrupted install and not being able to uninstall from control panel

It seems that Adobe Reader X1(11.0.0.9) installed and the installation was corrupted. It now opens up the Windows help center automatically. Booting the computer in safe mode and trying to unistall in the control panel, I get the Windows Installer Servicee could not be accessed. I am able to uninstall other programs with no problem.

One way is to download again and install, then uninstall. That sometimes resolves the issue. To clear the registry of Acrobat and Reader (this is the Acrobat forum by the way, Reader is another forum), use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.

I have been trying to start my subscription again for my Acrobat XI Pro and for the annual subscription of the PDF Export for Word and Excel. The PDF Export expired according to my subscription list, but, I think that I had cancelled my Acrobat XI Pro of $ 29.99 monthly, so, I am wanting to presubscribe for it again, but, when I try to put my Code in for my Debit Card, it will not register with your company.
So, I do not know what to do to get it back again with my monthly and annually subscription payments for PDF Export and for Acrobat XI Pro. I have already downloaded the Adobe Reader XI onto my computer so I am set for that product. I just do not know what to do about the PDF Export and the Acrobat XI Pro to be able to get them started once again.

The SDK is only a collection of documentation and headers that show you how to interact with and automate Adobe Acrobat and to some extent Adobe Reader. You need a copy of Acrobat or Reader installed on the system in order to use any of the SDK functions. You cannot "print not using the Adobe Reader", unless you have Adobe Acrobat installed on the system instead of Reader.
