How to uninstall Toshiba Bt Stack?

Hi, folks!
Unfortunately I cant find a possibility to uninstall the Bt Stack. No uninstall option in the programme menu and/or programme folder. The Stack is not listet in the Windows Software menu.
I tried to remove it with uninstaller programmes (CCCleaner/Revo/...) but they all fail.
Please help me! How can I remove this programme completely?
Thanks in advance!
Max

Hi
First of all I dont understand why someone would like to remove the BT from the own notebook because its possible to disable this feature if its not necessary.
However, if its just an driver then you can uninstall this in device manager.
I found just an screenshot of Win XP but this should be possible with other win versions too.

• How to use Toshiba Bluetooth stack longer than 30 days on 3rd party computer

Sorry if this is back to basics.
I have a Dell Latitude 610 with Bluetooth built in and driver versions 3.03.
When I try to connect my Nokia via PC Suite it says the drivers are old version and should be 7.0plus.
How do I get updated drivers that last longer than 30 days?

Hi
You should check this Toshiba BT portal and the HowTO section:
http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/?page=howto
There you can find this document:
http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ81021V0000R01.htm
It says that you have to use the BT stack/driver from your notebook manufacturer!
Cheers

• How to manually uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack?

Hey there, I have a problem with the uninstallation of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v4.00.20 on my Windows XP SP2 notebook. Whenever I choose to remove the "Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba" (and "Bluetooth HID Switch Service") the installer starts preparing but hangs after a short while - the only way to continue is to power the notebook off. :(
The same happens when I try to update the stack to the latest version - the installer says that the old stack has to be removed first and hangs after trying to remove it. So is there a way to remove it by hand? I really don't want to reinstall Windows because of that.
The reason why I want to uninstall/update the stack is because my Jabra BT620s headset doesn't work with it. I can connect it and use it as earphones (the music quality is pretty good) but I cannot use the built-in microphone. This works with the Widcomm stack but with this one I have quality issues.
Thanks in advance.

If only your headphone works and not your headset then you have most likely not configured the headset profile. Use the "Custom Mode" of Bluetooth settings and setup also HFP (or HSP if HSP does not exist) then it should work.

Hi,
without Microsoft stack I can't use a lot of freeware programs (BluetoothView.exe, BluetoothCL.exe, BTScanner for Windows) to "catch" bluetooth devices in a log file.
How can I log bt device ids/description names in a log file using Toshiba Bluetooth stack?
Thank you

I've just contacted Toshiba here:

There are other solutions for Windows XP or Toshiba SDK is the only one?

• TOSHIBA Bluetooth stack SDK - How to obtain?

Hi all.
I am SW engineer. I have a question regarding to TOSHIBA Bluetooth stack SDK:

We want to be able to perform operations such as blue tooth devices recognition, virtual bt COM port assigning, connecting, transmission intensity measuring programmatically. Thus we need Toshiba Bluetooth stack SDK.
How can I obtain the TOSHIBA Bluetooth stack SDK?
Thank you for advance.

• Trouble with Toshiba bluetooth stack

Hello, I'm having a trouble with toshiba bluetooth stack. I had windows vista installed in my laptop. I decided to upgrade to Windows 7. I had a bluetooth mouse attached to my toshiba bluetooth stack in windows vista. After upgrading to windows 7 my bluetooth mouse is not working any more and it is not listed in the devices list. But, when I switch my mouse on, the bluetooth stack icon tray turns green like when the device is connected, but it doesn't work and the device is still not listed. I'm trying to redetect it, but it is not detected. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth stack, but in the reinstalation, my devices are still listed.
Anyone can help me or tell me how to remove manually all the attached devices? Thanks in advance.

It seems that the mouse has still stored the pairing information (normally it should loose it if the battery was removed).
The mouse tries to connect to the last connection, but the other side (PC) has not the information anymore.
Could you try to pair the mouse with any other PC or notebook before you try to pair it with your notebook again ?
Furthermore increase the security for this test by enabling the following option:
Right click Bluetooth system tray icon > Options > Security > Custom Level > Mode: Link level enforced security

• Toshiba BT Stack not working with Belkin mini BT v4.0 adapter

Hello,
I've recently purchased a belkin mini bluetooth v4.0 adapter for desktop but when i try to use it with toshiba bluetooth stack when i reach the part about the device plug it will not recognize it.
I know its because it not listed on the default programs list and i have to add the device manually but i cant seem to work it out.
If u can provide me a detailed walkthrough on how to modify my tosrfusb in order for the toshiba bluetooth stack to accept this usb bluetooth adaptor i would really appreciate it.
I saw there was a similar thread but it was locked and the posters there didnt mention how they made it work
Im using windows 7 64 version (toshiba bluetooth stack format is 8.0012 for 64 version)
The usb is called on device manager Belkin Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter and my hardware id is
USB\VID_050D&PID_065A&REV_0112
USB\VID_050D&PID_065A
I have already installed it using its software cd rom for the record, so i if need to uninstall it please let me know. Try in advance for your time and patience

In my personal you should visit the Belkin support website to get more details how to get running such Mini-Bluetooth V4.0-Adapter
As you said, the software was provided on the CD.
Therefore I assume that you need to install some Belkin software to get this USB adapter recognized properly
Before the system would not recognize this USB adapter, you will not be able to establish the BT connection.

• How to Uninstall Java Dialog Instance

Does anyone know how to uninstall a Java Dialog instance?
The install instructions, 'SAP Web Application Server 6.40 SR1 Java on Windows: MS SQL Server' suggest that I should go to the control panel and select the add/remove program and then find the instance and remove it. However, the instance does not appear in the list.
Note: I have the ABAP stack (DEV) and the java stack (JDV) installed on the same box. But, the java stack is not an add-in. The ABAP stack instance does appear in the add/remove program list.

ok Doug,
i've a workaround for that.
Go to registry editor.IF YOU Find the Service corresponding to J03(SAP<SID>_03). Delete it. (if you want to be fail safe, export that contents to a file using FILE --> EXPORT and then delete it. you may import it later if you want). and RESTART the PC.
this process will ensure that there is no instance according to your system (coz no registry entry is found). it is as good as removed. but the files that were created during the instance installation will remain in your hard drive.
IN CASE you need this instance later or this workaround gives you any trouble, just import the registry contents file which you have exported earlier and RESTART THE PC.
it is as good as it was!!!
this is an easy work around but slightly risky as u are fiddling with your SYSTEM REGISTRY ENTRIES.
Regards
Arun.
PS: Remove the corresponding entry in the WINDOWS SERVICES file. otherwise, it will give PORT IN USE during later installation with instance number 03.

• How to uninstall virtual cd on a gen2 series HDD

i have found the article http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/bulletinDetail.jsp?pf=true&soid=2640271 that explains how to uninstall the virtual cd on a gen1 series HDD and it says that on gen2 the software is not needed but it doen's explain how to uninstall the virtual cd without that tool. how can i do it?

My interpretation is that you can handle the drive normally using Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc). That is, you can repartition and reformat in the usual fashion.

• Nokia 6275 & PC Suite 6.82.22 on Toshiba BT Stack

All,
Anyone had this problem...I assume it is a Nokia problem...but wanted to see if anyone else had the issue...
Nokia 6255 to 6275i Upgrade of Nokia PC Suite v6.82.22 on Toshiba Tecra M4, Windows XP SP2, Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v5.10.01 (T) on Bell Mobility Network
OK...so everything was working great with my Nokia 6255 on the above config. I set this up originally in the fall of 2005 using Nokia PC Suite v6.7.21 and Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v4.00.23. Bluetooth to Nokia PC Suite worked fine...all functions...and so did Bluetooth Dial Up networking (DUN).
Subsequently upgraded both the Bluetooth stack to Toshiba v5.10.01 and Nokia PC Suite to v6.82.22 and everything was still OK with the 6255.
Then I got my new 6275i from Bell Mobility...
Phone connects fine with DKU-2 cable to PC Suite...its bluetooth that has the problems...
Tried to authenticate (pair) the 6275i with PC Suite via bluetooth...phone is visbile in the "Search and select phone" dialog...but when trying to authenticate/pair its says either "Cannot Authenticate" or sometimes it just "hangs" on the authenticate step (although clicking on cancel does still work).
Note nothing happens on the phone at all during this process...so it appears (and subsequent testing agrees) indicates is a problem between PC Suite and the Bluetooth Stack locally on the PC.
Tried pairing 6275i with the toshiba software (it does show a PC Suite Service). This works fine, in either direction (initating pairing from phone or PC). But, once paired the phone doesn't appear in the PC Suite available devices list!
So in frustration down graded PC suite back to 6.7.21.
I uninstalled all 3 components (Nokia "PC Connectivity Solution", "Nokia PC Suite" and Nokia Connective Cable Driver". Ran Nokia PC Suite Cleaner v3.5 to get rid of registry loose ends etc. Kept the version 5.10.01 Toshiba BT Stack. Rebooted...lots of times :-(
Voila the older version of PC Suite could see the phone and authenticate...EVEN with the unsupported new version of the Toshiba BT stack. Problem is that this older version of PC Suite doesn't know about the 6275i...so some functions don't work (like Syncronize!).
Interestingly in the "search and select phone" dialog of the older version of PC Suite there are different icons indicating the status of the pairing of a device. Not paired is a phone icon, paired with Toshiba stack but not PC Suite "authenticated" is a phone icon with a green check more, paired/authenticated with PC Suite is phone icon with green dot.
So then, upgraded back to 6.82.22 (just using the PC Suite installer...didn't uninstall). I had hoped to see the phone with green dot icon since I had managed to authenticate the phone with the older version of PC Suite...but no dice.
Its back to the original problem, the phone doesn't show up in the "search and select phone" dialog in Nokia PC Suite "Manage Connections" dialog...since the pairing / authentication I did with 6.7.21 is still in effect! I can see this by looking at the paired devices using the Toshiba BT stack Options, Security Tab, "View Paired Devices" the 6275i is listed as a paired device.
If I delete the pairing using this function in the Toshiba stack the phone reappears in the PC Suite "search and select phone" dialog...but again I can't authenticate!
Tried calling Nokia in Canada but sat on the phone for 60 mins twice...and now I am in the US and the Canadian 800 # for Nokia doesn't work, sigh.
So given I've read all the threads on this topic and tried everyones suggestions with no succcess...anyone know
1. Is there a fix with PC Suite 6.82.22 I haven't tried?
2. Could it be a problem with the Toshiba BT Stack?
3. When will a new version of PC Suite be released that works on my config?

Hi
I downloaded and installed the latest version of PC Suite (6.83.14.1).
Its much better in that it can see my phone is paired via BT with the Toshiba (there is a handshake icon and a padlock icon listed in the "Search and Select" dialog with the message "the phone is ready to be used, click next to continue". )
When I click next it shows my phone is now available via bluetooth...but unfortunately when I then click finish button PC Suite still doesn't automatically connect to the phone via the available bluetooth connection. The connection also doesn't show in the "phone selector" dialogs in each application. Sigh. So it still doesn't work!
I've also noticed that the cable connection which was reliable on the last version also now doesn't "automatically" connect...although the connection does still work (you have to launch an application...like Sync and then choose the connection in the "phone selector" dialog.
I also noticed in the "about->system info" window tells me "no supported bluetooth stack found" Assume that this is because I'm using version 5 of the Toshiba BT stack. Since this has been out for quite some time now I'm hoping this is the root cause of these problems and it will be fixed in PC Suite 6.84. (However in the earlier versions of PC Suite both version 4 and 5 of the Toshiba BT stack exhibited the same issues).
Sorry not to be more help...hoping it gets fixed soon...hate carrying cables!
Hoping 6.84 fixes this.

• Toshiba Bluetooth Stack software - Microsoft Office - Problems

:_| Dear all,
I use a Bluetooth USB dongle to transfer data between my PC and my cellular.
Since installing the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack software (First I used the 5.0 and later upgrading to the latest 6.10.10) I'm having problems with Microsoft Office.
When I try to double click any office document (Word Excel etc.) It takes almost 30 seconds for the Word software to open and then additinal 30 seconds for the office document to open in the software -> almost 60 seconds!!
But when I'm opening the office software from the Strat-Programs-Microsoft Word menu it is opened in nearly 2 seconds!! Nevertheless, while the office is _opened_:
1. When opening a document threw the File-Open menu it again takes 30 seconds for the document to open.
2. When trying to open any office document (while the office is open) threw the Windows Explorer it again takes 30 seconds.
Now, I'm writing in Toshiba forum because when I cancel the Bluetooth manager from the _msconfig_ utility and restart, again the PC and Office is working percfectly.
Please help
PS
I'm using Windows XP Home SP3

Dear sir,
Thank you so much for your answer.
However, I'm alredy using the latest Nokia PC Suite which is 7.0.9.2
What do you think now? how can I progress?
Is it the Toshiba software? Is it Nokia software?
Thanks,
Danny
PS
Of course my Windows XP Home is fully "Windows Update".

First, welcome to the Apple boards.
Backup what you have because it probably contains things from the original update you want to keep - network settings, passwords, etc. A bootable clone is your best bet - and test it out.
Then you need to format your HD (full, not quick) with the Leopard DVD and then reboot with the Tiger CD and install it. I am not sure how much you can migrate "downwards" from the Leopard backup, but some things will probably come along OK. Not sure about mail since it was converted by Leopard - will it unconvert? Don't know.
I have read of some who tried to simply install Tiger over Leopard but the results were less than great. You can try it once you have that clone backup, because you won't be losing anything.
I would suggest unplugging the clone during the erase and install process until you get to the migration point.

I have a brand new Leopard based MacBook Pro that I need to revert to its previous cat form of Tiger. Would you mind walking me through it? I have Tiger disks that came with another MacBook Pro so those should have all of the machine specific items I will need. As I understand this, I start the computer from the included Leopard disk and do a full format. (I noticed that there is a new partition style named GUID Partition, is this Leopard only?) Next, I load in my Tiger disks and install from those? I do not need to do any system backups as I have no information on this computer as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Brian

It would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.
