You need to uninstall previous versions of Windows PowerShell and Windows Remote Management (WinRM) before you can install Windows Management Framework, which includes Windows PowerShell 2.0 and WinRM 2.0. This procedure should be performed on computers
running Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP.
You don't need to perform this procedure on computers running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. The current version of Windows Management Framework is already installed on these operating systems.

Note:
If you want to run remote Shell on a computer that already has Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 installed, you don't need to perform this procedure. Instead, for more information about how to open the Shell with the Exchange management tools installed, see

How to uninstall Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator from Visual Studio
Hello, I recently installed the Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator for Visual Studio. However, I found out that you need to be running Windows 8/8.1 Pro to deploy the emulator, but my computer is the regular edition of Windows 8.1.
How would I uninstall the emulator?
Thanks for your help.I recently installed the Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator for Visual Studio
What exactly did you install? Visual Studio 2013 (Update 2 and above) already includes 8.1 phone emulators, although there is a separate installer available for updated emulator versions. Open Control Panel >> Programs >> Programs and Features,
and search for "Windows Phone". If the emulator is listed, right-click to uninstall. -
How to Restore Windows 8 if System Crashes
Okay I purchased three HP Pavilions (1 last month two last year) from Best Buy. They did not come with Windows 8.1 Recovery Disk. So how can I restore Windows 8.1 if my disk crashes? How can I get the media and the product key for Win 8.1 for my systems? Thanks for the help.
Hi,
Nowadys computers won't come with installation and driver DVD's. Users have to create themselves. You can use HP Recovery Manager to create a set of discs (same for Windows 8.1):
http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-x2-11/5296226/model/5336701/document/c03481733
or use the following method:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrSq8AC5iMw
Note: the key is in the BIOS of your machine, please use the following tool to get it:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
When run this tool, it produces a report, scroll down to Software Management section. Windows 8 or 8.1 product key is in there.
Regards.

How to minimize window into the system tray icon
Hi,
I tried to fin how to minimize the application main window into the right down corner (system tray bar) only as an icon cause I don't want to have it on main bar.
Thx for any ideas.
WencaI've already done that, some years ago.
Sorry, but I cannot give you the code, cause it has vanished after a few (!!!) system re-installations ;)
But this was the main idea:
- make a jni-dll
- inside the dll, get the handle to the window you want to minimize
- alter that window's properties
It's rather easy, once you've avoided all pitfalls. I'll suggest http://www.codeproject.com , they've certainly some tutorials on minimizing to the system tray. -
How to uninstall windows security center from T60P XP Pro
Thanks for all the great help this forum has provided. Please help with this request.
Thanks
bclaytHi,
The Windows Security Center is part of the Operating system and can't be removed. If you want to disable it:
Start>Run>services.msc [enter]
Scroll down to Security Center and double-click it to open the Properties. Stop the process from running and change the startup to "disabled".

How to uninstall Windows XP?
I had XP installed on my macbook pro intel core 1, my buddy isnt in town anymore and I was wondering how I could go about uninstalling it and regaining some storage space back.
Hi Chris,
I'm sorry, I can't help directly but in the absence of further advice you might be better served by looking in/posting your question in either the BootCamp or the MacBook Pro forum.
My very limited knowledge of BootCamp makes me think that there is a utility within it to reclaim the Windows partition but check in those forums before proceeding. There's sure to have been the same question asked 'over there'.
Good luck,

If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it and if anyone knows how to use the drum pads for those programs I mentioned would be great? I found a couple sites for using it with garageband but nothing as for mainly live and Im running OSX 10.6 so if anyone out there knows please let me know!!! The main reason I think I installed the wrong one is when I plug in the rockband drum kit to my usb port it dosen't show up in the xbox controller program but it lights up and I've tried all my different usb ports to see if that might be whats wrong but I still show nothing and I've also installed junXion and nothing shows up there either. So if anyone has any ideas just let me say thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

How to uninstall Windows 10 on a desktop?
I am testing Windows 10 build 9879 on a Dell Optiplex desktop pc (single disk drive)
I am having several problems with it and I would like to unistall it and go back to Windows 8.1 which i was using until now.
I have the original DVD bought from Microsoft with Windows 8.1 but (of course!) installation fails at 97% when I try to install using it.
I read that I have to create a USB Recovery Drive from here: http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/warranty-service-and-recovery/downloadablerecoveryimage?lc=1033 and totally wipe my Surface before I use the original DVD. The Microsoft page
asks for my Surface serial number before I create the recovery drive. I am not even sure which Surface version I have let alone serial number! As I said I am on a desktop and there is no serial number anywhere on the chassis.
Can someone help or even point to a different uninstall option?Thank you for your reply...
When I attempt to install it from the DVD the installation wizard asks me what do I want to keep. There is only one choice that can be selected and that is "Nothing". I assume that this will erase/format the drive, won't it?

Hello,
I have a Windows partition that I now want to free-up for more space for Mac files. Would someone please give me a pointer to how I might do that?
Thanks much in advance,
MaryWhen you use BootCamp to install a Windows partition on an Intel-based Mac computer,
you can use the same utility (BootCamp) to remove the partition and/or erase it. Also,
there may be a way to use the Mac OS X's Disk Utility to later +erase free disk space+, but
only after removing the Windows partition. This may be able to re-integrate that drive
space for use with OS X. You can read more about this topic in Apple Support BootCamp
pages; and there also is a Discussions area specific to BootCamp questions & replies.
There are a few ways to make a partition for Windows; if BootCamp was used to set it up,
then that is the tool to consider when removing it. However, since I have no experience in
that matter, I will defer you to others who have newer hardware and older-tech Windows.
Good luck & happy computing!
