    If you mean that you entered an incorrect passcode too many times just restore the phone on the last computer it was backed up to. This will remove the passcode and restore that backup. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 for more information

    Open iTunes on the computer.  Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
    The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display.  You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password.  Then you'll be all set!

    You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

    Only the cellular service provider to which your iPhone is locked can assist you in unlocking the iPhone. No one here can assist you in skirting this restriction. No one can offer a solution beyond informing you that only the cellular provider can unlock the phone.

  • How do I disable the phone number's digits grouping on my Iphone 3g?

    Hello,
    I totally hate this feature where phone number's digits are grouped like (xxx) xxx-yyyy. I'm not used to this and even if it makes sense for americans I don't like it and I want it disabled. How do I do that?

    Go to Settings > General > International > Region Format and select something other than United States (to keep the language in English, you can select United Kingdom - the phone number format there is 4085551212, no ()- in there). Romania is not a choice in the locations, yet (probably in a future update).
    Hope this helps...

  • How to unlock my refurbished phone that apple sent me

    Hi, apple sent me a phone that is locked to virgin mobile australia even though my original phone was an unlocked phone that i purchased from Apple online store.  Its of course out of the 1yr warranty.  So, how do i contact apple to unlock the phone they sent me that is supposed to be unlocked?
    Thanks

    Well, how did you contact Apple in the first place when you had a problem with your phone?  Try contacting Apple like this again.  However, it is pointless contacting Apple in this case because Apple CANNOT unlock your phone for you.  Only Virgin mobile in Australia will be able to unlock the phone for you, so it is them that you need to contact to get the phone unlocked.  Only a phone company/carrier can unlock a phone for you.
    The only other thing that you can do is complain to Apple that you purchased an unlocked iPhone and they sent you a locked one as a replacement and ask them to send you another unlocked phone as a replacement.  In that case, how did you contact Apple then?  Use the same method again - it really is not that hard if you have internet access which you seem to have as you have posted on this forum.

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school enviroment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
  • How to unlock disabled ipad
    My daughter put a password on her ipad mini.  She can not remember the password and now it is "disabled" and will not respond.  How do we unlock and reset her device?
    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
  • HT4113 How to unlock disabled iPad which has never connected to iTunes?
    My iPad is disabled and I cannot get it working, not even in recovery mode. It has a password and now it won't unlock .   I've never backed it up and never had the need to connect to iTunes. How do I get it working again? I don't mind setting up again. But it's not clear what happens if I erase all contents, will it remain locked? It's not lost or stolen, it locked itself by accident in my bag.
    You need to force the iPad into recovery mode and restore it.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
    If that's not working, post back and tell us exactly where the process is failing and perhaps we can offer further suggestions.
    Regards.
