Hi!
Some I can't start the camera from the unlock screen in iphone 5c since ios8 update.
It works a couple of hours after reboot, but the problem keeps turning back randomly.
After iOS8 update I also installed facebook, facebook messenger, linkedin and sync.me and configured skype.
The actions are:
Enabling the unlock screen and then sliding up the camera icon, it seems to appear a camera captured image but then the screen turns black or greyish (randomly) like the unlock screen background.
The problem doesn't happen from the control center panel locked or unlocked.
It isn't a big problem because there are simple workarounds, but it's annoying when it happens.

This problem seem to have been solved in iOS 8.0.2.

Lock button not unlocking screen on iPhone 4 after long standby sessions

If I press the lock button on my iPhone if it's been in standby mode for a while, nothing happens and I have to hit the home button to activate the screen to unlock the phone. If, once the phone is unlocked, I hit the lock (sleep/wake button), it will lock the phone no problem. It will also activate the screen from standby to the unlock screen if the phone has recently been locked and not in standby for more than a few minutes.
Another issue is that the phone does not seem to be responding to the hard reset command where both the home and sleep/wake button are held down for 10 seconds. The phone will give me the option to shut it down by sliding the red slider but it will not hard reset.
Lastly, if the phone is shut off, pushing the lock button will not turn the phone on. Plugging it in is required to get the phone to turn on.
Has anyone had this happen to them and if so what was the fix? I don't think it's hardware or a flaky button because the issue is so state conditional. And, the bottom does work repeatably in certain situations.
One other point of note: leading up to this issue, it seemed that most times when I pushed the sleep/wake button to wake and unlock the phone from longer sleep period, the screen would only flash on and go back to sleep, requiring another press of the button.
I have the latest release of iOS.

Are you able to view the home screen? If so, go to settings>general>accessibility> and turn 'assistive touch' on. It's a great temporary quick fix until you are able to have a technician take a look at it. You can also try restoring the phone from iTunes, jus tbe sure to set up as a new phone and NOT restore from previous backup. Hope this helps!

IPhone 5C after ios8 update.

After I updated my iPhone 5c I experienced a few glitches that I can't seem to fix. I have restored the phone to factory settings twice, still no fix.
1. I will be on a phone call and I will go to lock the phone, it wont lock. I will try to access the home screen and it won't respond. I end the call, and the home button still wont respond and the phone wont lock.
2.Phone will say I have been on a call for 64+ hours and freeze. Only way to fix is to reset.
3. Apps including safari and messages app crash hourly. Key board stops responding or will continue to type but letters wont show up.
4. I will lose all service and wifi randomly during a call and when just using an app.
5. Phone will restart randomly while on the phone, and then when it turns back on the call is still going.
6. Each time I did a factory restore, the phone would be stuck on the "Connect to itunes" screen. I called apple support both times, and i had to delete certain files on my computer that were preventing the restore process.
If anyone has any advise for me, PLEASE let me know.

I've done the iOS 8.0.2 update and I was expecting my iPhone 5S to switch on back after that, but it unfortunately didn't. It got stuck on the white screen with the apple and then on the blue screen. After several attempts, I turned it into DFU mode and it's been in recovery mode for 2 and a half hours now with still 3 hours to wait. Is there any chance my iPhone won't switch on again..? Restoration is currently in process, i don't understand why my iPhone would turn into blue screen just after a simple update..

Had same problem, got answer from supprot community and it worked.
Hold down your power bar (on top) and your Home button (on face at bottom) for about 10 - 20 sec. and your phone will be restored - nothing lost or changed. Worked like a charm for me 20 sec ago.

There is no Unlock Code, only the approval of the original provider. Then just open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable, and then click Restore button of iTunes to Restore the iPhone. At the end of the Restore process, iTunes screen on computer will show large message, Congratulations the iPhone is Unlocked.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but I'll try to answer! You can either connect to iTunes and set up and activate there, or you can also use the setup assistant to set up your iPhone. As far as carrier activation, you'll have to follow the protocol that your carrier uses. Either switch SIM card, or call the number they use to allow device activation. Is that what you were wanting to know?

I think everyone here understands your point. And I also think everyone here would agree that it's unfair for AT&T not to allow unlocking for an iPhone that is out of contract. But that's the way it is - it's completly up to AT&T and they not allow unlocking at any time for any reason - and there's nothing more anyone here can say.
