How to unlock systems
Dear professionals,
sorry to bother You again.
I was working in the Portal system landscape configuration to change the address of a CRM-machine when I lost connection to the portal server.
I re-established the connection, logged in again, but now the system configuration of that CRM-machine is locked by "me".
Please, how can I unlock the configuration of the machine ?
And is it possible that another instance of me is still on the portal and how can I remove it?
Every help apprechiated.
Thank You,
Rudolf
HI rudolf,
NAvigate to SYSTEM administration-->Monitoring
Expand the PORTAL tag,and open OBJECt locking by double clicking it.
There you will see the list of LOcked objects.
You can select it and unlock .

How to unlock system lock?
Hi,buddies:
I found a problem that if I want to use a T-code to create a measure in SEM-BSC,and at the same time another people alse want to create his(her) own measure,then the system pop up a message:"...being locked by ..",In SM12 i can see the lock entries like this:
600 ZZMX 17:14:26 E UMK_MB000 #####A
600 ZZMX 17:14:26 E UMK_MB000T ######A
Then If I want to continue the T-code,I must delete the lock entries manually,then is there any other solution??
Thanks very much in advance...
Martin XieHi,
Hi!
The programs should set lock entries before making a change and releasing the lock immediately afterwards. When this is the case, you could see locks in SM12, but more for information purpose - because the programs are doing well on their own.
If one (or both) programs don't use locks, then you won't see anything in SM12 and you might get a mess in the database - depends on the actual changes.
(IMHO) Locks aren't stored in a table, it's more organized like a global memory -> that's faster and locks don't need to be stored for a long time anyway.
Transaction would be SM12 - and anyway, any other transaction would check the same authority object

Siva : U r telling to delete the SAP* user ,u dont mean with the System created default user SAP* rite but u mean to delete our self created SAP*/any super user rite? Secondly how to delete tat user at the database level?

If all the users are locked , they can only be unlocked via sql.
Actually waht happens is if the uflag field of an user in table usr02 is 0 then the user is unlocked. Different values of the uflag field in table USR02 mean:
0 User not locked
32 Locked by CUA central administrator
64 Locked by administrator
128 Locked after failed logon
Incase all the users are locked execute the following sql to unlock them
update sap<sid>.usr02 (means update sapd01.usr02 or sapq01.usr02 etc)
set uflag='0' ;
commit.;
This unlocks all the users.
update sap<sid>.usr02
set uflag='0' where bname='xxx';
commit.;
This unlocksonly the user xxx. -

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

How to Unlock 2nd Internal HD??
2 internal HDs, one for system & apps, the 2nd for data. Carbon copied the internal sys HD (OS 10.4.11) to the data drive. Competed an erase and install to 10.5.6 and then to 10.5.7. All drives show BUT can not open folders nor add data to the internal "data" drive. Highlight the drive and select "Get Info", click on the locked icon and enter password, close info window and does not work. Reopen window and icon shows locked.
Inserted OS 10.5 install disc and used Disc Utility to repair permissions and restarted, same issue. Any suggestions on how to unlock the internal HD and all its contents??Thanks Justin. The Get Info window showed the lock and the ignore ownership box was checked but I went ahead and entered the password. It works now!! Thanks for the help.

How to unlock Hp Desk top.
My daughter has forgotten the password for her HP Desktop model 120-1333W that she hasn't used since high school. I need to know how to unlock the computer or how to factory reset the computer so I can give it to her younger brother?
Thank you in advance for your help with this issue.
Glenn DunhamHi:
If you are referring to the Windows password, please read the info below on how to perform a system recovery (factory reset).

If you are referring to a power on (BIOS) password, unfortunately, that I do not know how to remove.
There are no instructions for doing that. -

Hi everyone
I have an issue..
Can anybody tell me how to unlock a client from client 000..
In client 800 all users are locked.
Is there a way to do that..
thank you.
Kiran kumar.Hi Kiran,
1. To lock or unlock a client only in an in R/3 System, run the following functions via tcode SE37:
1. SSCR_LOCK_CLIENT
2. SSCR_UNLOCK_CLIENT
Once we run these functions with a client as input, that client will be locked/unlocked. Actually this function set flag '' Client is locked temporarily for client copy" in client maintenance menu. And the client will be available for users DDIC and SAP*. If you try to login in that client as any user, system gives message that ' Client locked temporarily'.
Procedure to unlock the client
1. Goto SE37
2. Specify function module as SSCR_UNLOCK_CLIENT
3. Click on icon Single test or F8.
4. Specify the client which you want to lock and click on execute(F8).
2. If all the users are locked, they can be unlocked by
a) GO to command prompt type tp unlocksys <SID> pf=//usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.pfl;
b) or else try this command at ur sql plus query level
Go to cmd prompt.
Sqlplus /nolog
conn /as sysdba
this will take you to the sqlprompt.
Just execute the earlier commands there.
sqlplus>UPDATE SAP<schema>.usr02 set uflag=0 where mandt=<CLNT NO> and uflag=64;
this statement actually unlocks the users of that particular client. So, try for every client in that sap system.
c) You can delete sap*
Go to cmd prompt.
Sqlplus /nolog
conn /as sysdba
sqlplus>DELETE SAP<SID>.usr02 where mandt='CLIENT.NO' and bname=SAP*;
after doing this restart the system. So, that a new user with the name "sap" gets generated with password "pass". Provided the parameter is set login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0 (Automatic user SAP is permitted).
