How to UNpair keyboard without original computer

I'm trying to pair an Apple wireless keyboard with my Mac Pro. The keyboard came from my IT department and has been used with other Pro's before. My Pro can discover the device but will not pair.
I've read the the device must be unpaired from it's previous computer. However that computer is no where to be found.
How can pair this keyboard with my computer? Do I have to factory reset the device? If so, how do I do that?
I'm using a PC keyboard for the time being and it's killing me.

Unfortunately, I am having the same issue, and I have NOT been able to find any information online that details how it might be possible to force the Apple Wireless Keyboard (2009) into pairing mode, if it is convinced that it has been paired with anything.
I had previously paired the keyboard to an iPad, and now that I have removed the pairing from the iPad, I would like to pair it again to do some testing, but now the keyboard, which had previously appeared as "Apple Wireless Keyboard" only appears as "Keyboard" for about 3 seconds before the green light on the keyboard turns off (right about when I expect to see the light flashing to indicate it is ready for pairing).
The iPad is the only device to which I believe this keyboard has ever been paired. With other Bluetooth keyboards I've received along with a computer, they've been pre-paired ahead of time, so I know I need to remove the pairing before they are ready for use with any device. In this case, I'm afraid that under-powered batteries on the last pairing have gotten the keyboard stuck thinking it is paired, when no other device is actually listing it as a paired accessory.
I would love to find a post that details being able to use a key combination when starting the keyboard to force it into pairing mode, "forgetting" all previous connections, but I haven't found anything yet.

You can use any computer to Restore it and clear everything, it doesn't have to be your original computer. Or you can make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store.

How to install Classic without original 10.4 discs?

I just bought a used emac g4 1 ghz as a backup to my emac g4 1.25 ghz. I have 10.3.9 on my 1,25 ghz emac and when I received this used emac I discovered it had 10.4.8 installed...but no classic. I still have a couple classic programs I use, so I was wondering if there is anyway to install classic in the 10.4.8 even though I didn't get the Tiger discs with the computer. I do have the original 10.3 discs for both my 1.25 ghz emac and this 1.0 ghz emac, but is there anyway to install just classic without erasing the 10.4.8???

IPhone Password Reset without Original Computer

It seems that I have an iPhone that had the password changed and then forgot so ended up locking the phone. Once locked I was advised to go to the Apple store where they said to connect to the original PC, but that machine is no longer available (hard drive crash and wipe). There is no back-up available, so how can I reset the password to access the phone? And then sync (or transfer) the iPhone to a new computer? Any special needs to complete a backup at this time? I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if you forgot your passcode and you can't restore your phone using the computer you last synced with, then you will have to force it into recovery mode and restore as a new device

So bear with me as I explain this predicament.
SO I bought a brand new phone off ebay, I check and the phone was not blacklisted. However the phone was linked with the sellers phone number and I needed the last four of his social and billing zip to activate. I call AT&T and they tell me just to go get a new sim card and it will work. I go and get a new sim and the guy at AT&T throws away the original sim (remember that!!!!)
So that doesn't work, they tell me to go restore it and THAT doesn't work.
The seller ends up giving me his zip code and last 4 SSN, but now the phone says that it can not activate because the sim that was shipped with the phone is not in the phone currently.
What do I do?! I have a $600 paperweight just sitting here right now.

So the iPhone was activated and working on the AT&T network before you took it to AT&T? If it was then why did you take it in?
There is no requirement that the iPhone has to be activated with the original AT&T nanoSIM it came with. If there was such a requirement then if the nanoSIM was defective you could never replace it. There is no requirement that you have to have the previous owners last 4 of SSN and billing zip UNLESS you are trying to use their AT&T cell account.
They seller should have erased all content and settings from the iPhone and then sold it to you. At that point you would be able to activate it on your AT&T account without having to know any information from them.
Return it and get your money back.

You can use any laptop, however, if the one you use is not the one your iPad is synced with, all of your data will be lost because you can only sync an iOS device with one iTunes library at a time.
That said, you can download iOS 5 from your boyfriend's laptop, but yes, you will lose your data.
And since your laptop was stolen, you will lose your data either way because your new laptop (when you get it) will count as a new iTunes library.
So, it really doesn't matter what you do because you will end up with the same result.

When you connect the ipod and are prompted to erase and sync....just click cancel. Then click the ipod name below devices in the itunes source pane. From the ipod summary screen you want to check manually manage music and videos under the options tab. Apply the changes and you are now set to manually sync. You should be able to recover the media with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That might switch the assocation of the device to the new machine but I couldn't say for sure.
