A page I have to report my hours worked does not work with FF so I need to go back to my original home page and I can't do it from my original home page. Has nothing to do with plugins listed below.

Which steps do you not understand?
You can set the page in the current tab as only home page if you drag the tab or icon (website's favicon) that you see on the left hand side of the location bar or the toolbar Home button that has been moved to the far right of the Navigation Toolbar.
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

  • How do I set a "normal" home-page in Firefox for Android? (instead of the "awesome screen")

    How do I set a "normal" home-page in Firefox for Android? I don't want the homepage to be the "awesome screen" (which I personally don't find to be very awesome - way too much going on in one page for a small smartphone screen).
    I just want a regular home page that I can set myself. For example, in Firefox for my personal laptop, I've set my homepage Google.com. In Firefox on my work computer, I've set my homepage to our company intranet login. I really prefer and need this flexibility in setting my home page.
    In Firefox for Android, if I go into Settings/Customize/Homepage , the only options I see for changing the home page is to de-select certain items on the "awesome screen". There's no option to set a URL address for a normal homepage. If I de-select/hide all the items on the awesome screen, I simply get a blank home page (no web page, just a prompt telling me to enter a URL address).
    The other major browsers for Android allow me to set a "normal" home page. Firefox is my favorite browser for my laptop. I wish I could get it to work normally for Android. :( :( :(

    hello betsy, at the moment such a feature is not implemented in firefox, but as a workaround you can add a bookmark to a site to the homescreen of your phone, which should have the same effect: [[Use bookmarks on Firefox for Android to keep track of your favorite websites]]

    How can I invoce from my home page ? Como puede invocarlo (llamarlo) desde mi home page?
    Thanks

    Do you need something like in the picture I have posted???
    Then, click Firefox menu, click Options. Click the General tab, and enter about:home in the Homepage field.
    Or, you want to make Firefox your default browser???
    Then, click Firefox menu, click Options. Click the Advanced tab. Click the General tab UNDER ADVANCED TAB. Click Check now. It will tell you whether Firefox is the default browser or not. If it is the default browser, then you can click OK. If it is not the default browser you need to click Yes to make it default.

  • How can I set a custom Home Page while ALSO having a New Tab be the default Mozilla Page?

    Why is the "home Page" = to a New Tab page? Why are they linked. I want my.yahoo.com to be my Home Page (currently set properly) but my New Tab page seems to be set to "Conduit" and has a search bar. I have no idea where that came from or how it got set that way. I want to have my current Home Page but make any New Tabs be the Mozilla Default Page with a Google search bar. Is that possible? I am running on Windows XP.

    See also this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):

    You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

  • How do I replace my index (Home) page with a new page?

    My iWeb site has a "Home" page as it's default index page. I renamed the page "Home4" and created a new "Home" page in hopes that the new page would become the default page. Nope, it still goes to "Home4".
    Next, I tried deleting Home4, now I just get an error message when trying to go to the site.
    I should mention that I deleted the Home4 page through the MobilMe website, not in iWeb. I see that there is an index.html file in the site directory which I "assume" is a redirect to what iWeb considers to be the "Default" page. But, I see no way to edit or even view the contents of the index.html page.
    How do I create/replace an index page?
    Message was edited by: GoldwingTX

    Bonjour
    Your new home page need to be the first one at the top of the sidebar of iWeb.
    Publish
    iWeb will build a new index.html which redirects to the new home page
    Safari > menu bar > Safari > Clear the cache of your browser before visit your website

  • How do I get Firefox's home page to open a new tab when searching?

    I'm slightly modifying Firefox's about:home page, and I'm trying to get the home page to effectively be its own app tab. In order to do that, I need to make it so that when I search with it, it opens a new tab to view my search results.
    I've tried two things so far; I've tried adding the attribute '''target="_blank"''' to the '''<form>''' tag, and I've tried adding the attribute '''onclick="this.form.target='_blank';return true;"''' to the '''<input>''' tag nested inside of the '''<form>''' tag (I'm guessing the latter is JavaScript lol). I also tried an extension "TabSubmit" which didn't work here.
    I know how to edit the right page (I'm changing the contents of aboutHome.xhtml in omni.ja), and have already edited the stylesheet slightly (to underline links when hovering over them and adjusting the fading of Mozilla's logo when hovering over it). This is the next change I wanted to make.
    Any suggestions? Thanks!

    The about:home uses window.location.href = url; to change the location of the current tab.
    Changing this to window.open(url); and adding a line at the end of the aboutHome.js file to initialize localStorage works for me with a locally saved about:home page.
    <pre><nowiki>function onSearchSubmit(aEvent)
    let searchTerms = document.getElementById("searchText").value;
    if (gSearchEngine && searchTerms.length > 0) {
    const SEARCH_TOKENS = {
    "_searchTerms_": encodeURIComponent(searchTerms)
    let url = gSearchEngine.searchUrl;
    for (let key in SEARCH_TOKENS) {
    url = url.replace(key, SEARCH_TOKENS[key]);
    window.open(url);
    aEvent.preventDefault();
    localStorage["search-engine"]="{\"name\":\"Google\",\"searchUrl\":\"http://www.google.com/search?q=_searchTerms_&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a\"}";</nowiki></pre>

    I have no problem setting up my home page, but new tabs open as blank pages. How do I set up Firefox to open new tabs to my home page, when I manually open a new tab?

    "Donations" to add-on developers are not required. Add-on developers do appreciate donations from users since they devote their time and efforts '''''free of charge''''' to develop the add-on(s). Donations also help pay for costs incurred in operating a website and some have online help forums to help their users with support questions.
    Tab Mix Plus is a great add-on, I use it and like it, but it is a bit "heavy"/large to install for just that one function. Tab Mix Plus performs many functions related to tabs and has many, many options that you can set related to tabs, including the one that your requested.
    <u>An add-on that is much smaller and is designed to perform that one function</u>, opening a tab with the page you specify, is New TabURL:
    *New TabURL: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl/
    *After installation and restarting Firefox
    *#Open the options (Add-ons > Extensions, click Options next to New TabURL)
    *#Set your options and/or enter the URL you want to open in new tabs
    *#Click "Save"
