How to unsubscribe from Apple Support Communities?
I can't take the volume of e-mails from Apple Support Communities. And the site is far too technical for me. What do I do to unsubscribe? Help!
Steve
Thank you for an accurate and mature answer rather than Tom Wolsky's less than helpful reply.
Here's a little hint 'Tom', linking the Search Page stopped being funny about eight years ago. If you're not going to bother to help, don't bother to post just because you want to get your count up.

I tried already to logon to "Apple Support Communities" https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa/user-notification-preferences!input.jsp a , select "Email Notification Preferences" and put every preferences to "no", saved it but it does not help. I'm still getting flooded with e-mails.

E-mails from Apple Support Communities

Were you ever able to stop that flood Brouwerkj? If so please tell me how because my mailbox is flooded by hundreds of messages per hour even if I cancelled all notification on my profile.
Thanks

Flooded with e-mail from Apple Support Communities
Even though I have set all my Email Notification Preferences to No, I am getting several hundred messages every day from "Apple Support Communities Updates" with a subject of "[Using iPad] - ..." This has been happening for over a week. How can I stop that?
I was 38 minutes into a chat session with Apple Support one week ago today, but it ended unexpectedly "due to a temporary system issue." I tried today to get back into chat but can't find it anywhere. It's as if chat support disappeared in the last week. That's why I am posting this message to the forum. I am obviously desperate to stop this unsolicited flood of e-mail messages.Click here for the instructions on stopping the emails.

Do not want to receive e-mails from Apple Support Communities
Do not want to receive e-mails from Apple Support Communities
Please help meI have this bookmarked as well from another post that gives detailed instructions on how to stop the emails. From here down is a copy and paste from that discussion ....
Actually there are three places to look
Anyway first click on your name to get to your homepage/profile. At the top there are three tabs one of which is Notifications, that's number one,. Next look at the right side of the page at the boxActions in there click Manage Email Notifications. Finally click Edit Preferences in the action box and click on Email Notification Preferences
I think that covers it all. -

Why can't I stop receiving e-mail from Apple Support Communities? I have every e-mail preference set to no, yet e-mail still comes every time someone posts to the one discussion I took part in a few years ago.

Why do i still receive emails from apple support communities
i clicked on my profile wen into mail preferences and made all the options no and clicked save. and i still recieve email notifications from apple support communities.
The photo above shows what you have set for anything new you do.
You need to unset the options for items you are already subscribed to.
Go to Your Stuff > Modifications, tick everything then click Remove.

How do I stop emails from apple support communities
almost a year ago I turned to apple support communities for a Q. Now a year later long after the problem has since been resolved, I am still getting very annoying updates. I have tried logging in and changing my preferences, but that did not stop the emails. I tried bouncing them back...didn't work. I tried turning to apple "contact us" but that is not easy without coming here first...Now I fear I may be just starting a new list of emails, but here we go...STOP EMAILING ME!
The Email preferences are not the problem, they only control what will happen they have no affect on what is happening now.
You can identify the source of the email, the community or thread, in the email. Go to that thread or community and turn off the email notification from there.
If you can'tt identify the particular thread or community from the email follow the instructions in the link King_Penguin posted. -

How to stop receiving Apple Support Communities messages
Sick and tired of receiving dozens of messages.
Not even able to send them to the junk box. These continue appearing like a cloud of locusts.
Please, help !!!Unfortunately there is no unsubscribe from here so this needs to be fixed for the mails to stop.
Usually the tech tip I wrote handles this issue if followed exactly as written. A lot if users will try to short-circuit the procedure or stop after they set the email preferences thinking that that is enough to fix it.
As the tip states the email preferences only affect the future not what is happening now. So are you sure the actual notifications view is empty?
If you look at the email you received it will indicate where it came from, a single post, a thread or a community. You can use that information to go to the particular area sending the email and turn it off At the upper righthand side of the screen is an actions box. Make sure it says Receive email notifications. If it says Stop email notifications click it.
If you still have problems a host can be notified to look at your account and try to fix the problem.
