Background images don't stretch (you could use a IE filter to
cheat
though...), so if you don't want the image to tile you'd use:
background-repeat: no-repeat;

If you call customer service they can tell you how long until your upgrade and if you phone is broke and your not eligible for an upgrade yet ask about gettting a certified pre owned phone. Great question, it's important to have an idea when you can get the phone. Currently, the launch date annouced is September 19th, 2014. The stores will receive phones on that day as released and they will sell on the same bases, first come first serve.

How to tell how long until TIMER executes?

say I have a timer set to execute every minute,
is there a way to tell how many miliseconds until the timer
executes again.
for instance If I checked halfway between the TIMER's
execution it should say "30000" (30 seconds intil timer exec again)

There's nothing built in. (You can file an enhancement
request at

- maybe send it to both AIR and Flash Player).
But you could probably write your own by updating a counter
when the Timer event does fire. Your look up method could look at
the counter and the current time and figure out the difference
based on the interval set. You could use either the getTimer()
function or the Date.getTime() method for this.

As stated before when im in my adobe pdf reader my pages are white with black font , the file was originally black with white font but i changed that by right clicking and selecting page display settings > accessibility and clicking replace document colors. When pages are printed it seems to revert back to black backround and white fonts. How can I edit or what do I change to print white a white backround and black fonts ? Thank you !

There is no such function in Adobe Reader (not even in Adobe Acrobat). Accessibility is only concerned with helping people who have difficulty seeing on screen, not with saving ink.

How long until Oracle posts BPM Suite bundle definition and costs???

Alright... how long do we have to wait until Oracle officially posts what is in the BPM Suite and updates the price list? The current web site contents certainly don't have the up to date BPM Suite product bundle correctly identified. The May price list still has the price over $115K which can't be right since I also need the SOA Suite. I have run into multiple Oracle sales reps who all gave me different answers. Anyone else care to know this information with some clarity and want to chime in asking Oracle to make it clear?

How long until MacBook Pro with Leopard?

After Leopard is released, how long does is usually take to be able to purchase a MacBook Pro with the newest OS installed? Also, does Apple usually do the same as PC's manufacturers and give out free upgrade certificates about a month before release of a new OS?

It depends on what store you buy it from, you need AFAIK to wait until existing inventory has been sold. You do know that you'll get Leopard free if you buy it shortly before the release date or after.
Personally if you have the need now for a MBP buy it and use/enjoy it now and not worry about Leopard.

Newly reset security questions not working? How long until they become active?

Okay so, I contacted Apple Support, talked to the advisor, i was able to reset my security questions and add a rescue email and a message showed up saying (With a check mark) that my information hasb een changed. Great.
After, I then decided to go to the Password and Security page (just to make sure everything was working) and I tried to enter the questions (that i had JUST reset) and all three of them came out wrong.
So obviously I was confused but...due to my amount of re entering, I got locked out.
My question, is that is there a time limit to how long after the questions are reset and until they become active?

Anyone?

How long until G5s are obsolete?

I saw something the other day that troubled me. Adobe released a new application called Soundbooth. It's in beta development, and it is only available for intel-based Macs. That's right, there will never be a Power PC version.
Is this a trend that other software developers are likely to follow? I thought I'd be okay with my G5 for a few more years, but if I'm going to miss out on new product releases and updates, I'd be inclined to upgrade sooner.
What do you think?

I do not think that the price of used G5's will drop off dramatically. One nice thing about Macs has always been the higher resale value. If you check eBay or Craigslist every few days then you should have your finger on the pulse of that.
I am always inclined to wait until a second generation of any Mac product comes out. That way I know that Apple is continuing the product line and most of the bugs should be worked out and they always release a machine with more that cost less.
Here's the thing, though. If you are using Photoshop today on a Mac today, why won't that same copy of Photoshop work on that Mac tomorrow? Are they really gonna introduce that many changes that it will make the program "better"? Maybe faster.
Those are my thoughts. If they stopped making new software and hardware today, it would still take most people years to learn how to use effectively what they already have let alone something new.

Okay, so after waiting, which I had anticipated, my I Pod touch 5 is in shipping. Currently it's in Shanghai, CN.
I'm wondering how long it will take to reach the USA (WI) if it says it's in transit today in Shanghai. It's supposed to arrive on the 26th sometime.

How Long until layout set changes are effective?

I have made a copy of an SAP layout set to my own namespace. When I modify some of the associated command groups, the changes are NOT showing immediately when I apply the layout set to a km folder. I did find the 'rendering' cache setting under config and set it to a smaller value (was 1800 seconds : I made it 60 seconds), seemingly to no avail I have used rendering debug mode and verified that my layout set is being applied. Is there some other settings/cache etc that I can tweak?

Here's how I usually get around this problem:
1) Save your changes in the associated command group like you normally do. At this point the changes does not show.
2) Remove all commands in the associated command group, you are making the changes to using "Shift+DEL". Save the command group with no commands entered.
3) Enter the commands again into the command group using "Shift+INS". Save your changes.
Your changes should now be visible. Hope it helps.

IPhone Trade In - how long until received?

Mailed my 2 iPhones in over a week ago and still showing up as "not received". Does anyone know what the current timing is for Verizon receiving the phones and issuing the gift cards?

I am nervous as well. I was already frustrated that when I went to my store to do the trade-in promotion, that of course they were out of phones and explained my new iPhone6 would have to be shipped at a later date. Fine. That was I suppose expected. He also told me about how to get the shipping materials. Great. Did that, shipping materials arrived and my new iPhone shipped earlier than expected. So on the same day I activated the new phone, I mailed -- exactly spot on to their instructions --- my old phone in their provided packaging. When I took the package directly to the post office, I did think this was weird that there was no tracking number. I am sure thousands of these phones in the same packaging are being shipped so who knows who might have sticky fingers when it comes to these being transported. I was NEVER offered and/or instructed to go to my store to exchange. I was told I must do it through this packaging. I also, guess was too naïve to realize I could have maybe created a tracking number at the post office. Here nor there, I shipped the phone on 10/3 and status of phone still says Not Received. I just want to know they have gotten the phone and the promotion is "in process". The instructions should have declared or suggested to obtain your own tracking. So of course I call, just to make sure the promotion is backlogged, and I get hung up on by automated message. This is terrible. So now I wait and hope my phone made it to the facility. I agree with comments that this promotion is poorly thought out and/or handled. To not even get to speak to someone, is beyond. I realize it's only been a week (as I see others have been waiting longer) but shouldn't they at least provide the peace of mind that your phone has made it to the facility and gift card will be processed when they can? Or, should I not be able to speak to someone?! They sure want to speak to me if I don't pay my bill! Really just want to know if my phone is there, & I can patiently wait for the gift card. Ugh!

Not being able to view flash in a website is a major problem since so many website authors have chosen to include it in their sites. Personally I don't like flash but I have to deal with it so I need it on the iPhone to make it useful for browsing.
