I have updated my Apple ID on my computer for both ITunes and ICloud. How do I update the Apple ID on my IPhone and IPad?

For iCloud, you have to delete the account: Settings>iCloud...scroll down...Delete Account. For the iTunes/App store: Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now, sign back in with your new ID.

You never mentioned that you didn't have access to that email. There are some specific steps you can perform to retrieve the old Apple ID password.

It's actually quite a good idea to give out an alias address rather than the main one, since these can be easily changed should you get spammed.

If you want to move to a new, separate iCloud account you have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Deleting the account will only delete it from your phone, not from iCloud. This will not effect other devices still using the account. Also, you can continue to share your ID for the iTunes and App stores even though you will have a different ID for iCloud. They do not need to be the same.
To begin, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. If you want to restore to an iCloud backup you have to erase the device and go back throught the initial setup screens. If you have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.
After restoring, turn on your iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. in Settings>iCloud and this data will be synced back to your phone.

I just upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS7.0.2. I changed my Apple ID a few months before when my email address changed. When looking under Settings > iTunes & App Store, my correct Apple ID shows. However, under Settings > iCloud, it shows my old Apple ID. It keeps asking me to sign in under the old ID, which is defunct. My account under Settings > iCloud shows the old account, but is greyed out. I've tried every password I can think that I ever had, but nothing works. I suspect it is because that old ID was changed to what I'm using now.
I saw several references and posts saying to delete the old account. When I try, it asks for my password. I use a company PC and even logged into my iCloud account there, which is of course under the new Apple ID. I've logged out of that account as well as my Apple ID account (one with the new email) and logged back in. But nothing seems to work.
I would just ignore it, but I keep getting iCloud notifications to log in on my iPhone. It doesn't let me select an account, just asks for my password to the old version.
Do I need to reset the phone to its factory settings? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have changed email accounts and have a new apple ID to the first one that I used on my iPhone.
When I go to delete the old account, it says I must enter the password for this account.
I have done, but it keeps coming back that it is wrong. When I request an email to help me log in, no such email arrives.
Basically, I'm stuck with the old apple ID and I want to change to my new one.
The password for the old one doesn't exist seemingly - nor does the old email account it is attached to work either.
It is a problem I just can't work out.

Part of the difficulty seems to be that Apple and iTunes seem not to reliably remember my updated password, nor does it reliably remember my method of payment. Even though I have corrected those things multiple times, and even received confirmation from iTunes that the changes have taken place, for example, if I want to buy an app on my iPad, sometimes (not always) iTunes will ask me to sign in using the OLD information. I sign out, update, sign back in, and things look good until the next time .
Is there no single site within the system where we can sign in, edit our accounts, and be assured that these changes will be remembered everywhere?

You can't change your ID if it's a me/mac address, otherwise;
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
