How to update CS6 (InDesign, Photoshop...)

I'm using the Creative Cloud. I have installed the Programms i need on my iMac 3.1 Ghz Inter Core i5 with 8 GB Ram and Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.
After the Download, i've tried to update Indesign, because i have to work with the Folio Builder Panel. But the "Updates" in the Menu "Help" is not activated (it's gray).
Then i downloaded the update from www.adobe.com/de/downloads/updates, tried to install, the Adobe Application Manager was started and i get the error "Update failed". (See the picture)
Can you help me to activate the "Updates" in the Menu "Help" or do you know, how i can update?

Now we have found the problem.
In the folder: Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0
i had to edit the file "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" (make a copy before editing...)
between <Suppressed> </Suppressed> was a "1", now i changed it to a "3"
the new text is now:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<Preferences>
<Suppressed>3</Suppressed>
</Preferences>

How to uninstall CS6 Indesign and Photoshop silently?

Hello,
We have a situation where we have to uninstall CS6 Indesign and Photoshop from dozens of computers. I would like to do this silently using Psexec or SCCM. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. We have installed both using a msi file and I have tried command "msiexec.exe /uninstall C:\Temp\Build\indesigncs6.msi /quiet" for indesign but nothing happens. When taking the quiet command away I get an error saying "This feature can only be used to programs that have been installed". The error message has been roughly translated from Finnish so it probalbly isn't excatly the same in English versions. Obviously this computer has Indesign installed.
I have also tried the PDApp.exe, but haven't been able to run that silently either. Command I've tried is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDApp.exe --appletID="DWA_UI" --appletVersion="2.0" --mode="silent" --mediaSignature="{CFB770D7-8D43-1014-922B-CC2715FADE3F}"
Is there a person who has successfully been able to silently uninstall Adobe Indesign or Photoshop CS6? If there is can you please tell us how to do it?

Thanks for answering. I tried to contact Adobe Support, but could not find out how to do that. I went to the Adobe Contact site and filled in what kind of problem I have and it just suggests that I ask from the community. If I try anything else it just leads me to the beginning.
You are absolutely correct that the CC Cleaner Tool is the way to do this. I have been able to generate cleanup.xml and used it. The problem is that the tool only finds Adobe Photoshop CS6 Driver version 13.0, Adobe Indesign CS6 Application Base Files version 8.0 and Adboe ID Credentials. It deletes these very efficiently and quietly. Problem is that it does not uninstall the whole program. For example all Adobe programs are still in the Start Menu and the Indesign folder is still found where it used to be. Have you any experience on this kind of problem?

How to Update in InDesign based on New XMLElements

I have InDesign File consist of contents which is based on an XML Hierarchy. And i have a new XML which is having some new XMLElements inserted in the Existing Hierarchy. The new added Elemensts are having same tag name.

How to reinstall CS6 InDesign by itself from the CS6 Design and Web Premium Student and Teacher Disc?

Hello,
I would like to know how to reinstall the CS6 InDesign. Is it possible to do it without reinstalling the entire disc?

The CS6 Suite is already installed in the Mac pro using Yosemite. When I went to open InDesign its said something about it could not open and metioned a plug in couldn't open please reinstall InDesign. That's why I was asking how to reinstall it from the disc it came from without reinstalling the entire suite again from the disc? It wasn't downloaded online. Is it possible?

How to update Adobe InDesign while being offline ?

hello again....
actually I know to update it, and I already downloaded the specified patch files required, but when ever I try to run the updater I get a message telling me ( " welcome,. there is a new patch available for your software, click next to update Adone InDesign CS3 with this patch" and then I click next, and after the updater gets in progress saying: "installing the patch... updating" I get a message that says: "installation was unsuccessful, the updater is unable to locate the product to be updated" though I tried several ways to install it, one of which tried to reformat my HDD and reinstall Windows again and then run the updater immediately one I have installed InDesign CS3 ME, ( on its trial basis even) or even after activation, but still in vain, so I thought that there is a another patch file for x64 platforms ??? or something wrong I have been doing without noticing it ??
I really need to update it this way, because the PC InDesign CS3 ME installed connects to the internet though a dial-up connection, so it will be really hard to update it live.
the patch file I was trying to install is named as : "indesign_5_0_4"
so any help with this please guys ???

it just occurred to me to surf Winsoft-International.com, and I searched for product updates, and found that the update patch for InDesign CS3 Me is different from the patch file I have when it comes to the size, and when I tried to download the patch file, they just asked for some details that which version of InDesign CS3 I use ? ( ME, Hebrew, North-African) which means that every version has its special update patch, and hence, I will download the update patch and try it, hoping that it really updates my InDesign CS3 ME.
so it just occurred to me to mention this, that some other members can avail this, in case some other one have the ME versions as well.

Can someone help of how to update my current Photoshop cc 14.0 to 14.2?

I unistall photoshop cc 14.0 version in order to get the new verion of 14.2. After installing photoshop again, it is the same version of 14.0 that was installed. There is no sign of 14.2 version out there that can be installed to replaced what I have. I've been paying Adobe for Creative Cloud since August 2013 and never even make used of what I was paying for. Now that I am ready to use it, I have this old version that I am stuck with.

14.2 is a patch update. You need to hit the "Update" button in CC app.

I had bought the programs online with a link so i don't have any DVD ore CD-rom.

Thanks Bob it worked perfectly for CS4 InDesign and CS4 Photoshop but I can't seem to patch CS4 Acrobat 9 Pro ver 9.0.0.

I tried all of them and I get the following message:

I have the correct ver 9.0.0 Pro installed so it should update to 9.1 although the multiple language download says "Extended" and I don't have Extended.
What could be the problem?

I updated cs6 camera raw and now can't see the camera metadata I used to see and cannot find it in photoshop itself.
