How to update info type 0585 & 0586

How to update info type 0585 & 0586 ?? because I've tried with LSMW but unable to update more than 7 records.

Dear KV LMR,
For IT0584, IT0585, IT0586 mass upload you have to go for BDC . LSMW will not fulfill the purpose as different employees has different number of data set available in these infotypes and data is not uniform like your IT581 or PAN number or Emailid upload.
First you have to prepare template for IT0585/IT0586 and speak with your ABAPer to prepare the required BDC program.
If you are comfortable with BDC, you can do it by yourself. If required drop a mail at [email protected] . I can provide you the BDC template /code snippet.

Now there is one more problem in update rule.
We are using " 2LIS_03_BF " as datasource.which doesn't contain Sales organization,Division or Distribution channel.
So in transfer rule for the infosource "2AF_MM_INV_1" we can not update the salesorg,division and Distribution channel.In communication structure all these objects are assigned to respective info objects.
Now in Update rule we have kept Division and Sales organization as initial.Still we are getting correct data for the Division and not a single record contains Sales organisation and for distribution channel we are using update routine..

How to load info type 7410 career types to Jobs or Positions

I’m trying to use T-code PP01 to load career types and career levels (info type 7410 ) by LSMW,
But I’m not able to maintain info type 7410 by pp01,
I had change the table T77CD to accept maintain infotype from standard transaction,
But getting below error:
“Time constraint not found for S 7410”
Any advice please on how to load career types and levels by LSMW

How to update doc type in Itab where Doc type is Dropdown box

Dear all,
I have created one itab with document type as drop down,when user wants to create PO,he is going to change documnet type to based on requirment ex.Itab is displayiing Doc type as DB but he want to change Doc type as ZNB.but myproblem is iam unable to update this doc type . the same previous value it is taking.iam using BAPi to create PO.it is taking doc type as DB only.but i want to get it as ZNB.how to update Itab after displaying data.
Please helpme out.

Hi,
Set user command or Function COde(in case of dialog program) for the drop down and in user command modify your itab.

LT06 enhancement - How to update Storage type and Storage section

Hi,
My requirement is to update Storage bin, Storage type and Storage section, while creating Transfer order from through LT06. So I used the enhancement MWMTO003 to update Storage Bin in LT06 and it is also working.
Similarly I need to update Storage type and Storage section using userexit or BADI.
Is there any way to update Storage type and storage section in LT06?

How to update info record price in to material master as a standard price -

Hi Experts,
We have a client requirement as below:
Client wants to compare the info record price per material for all related vendors.
Once he arrives at the best effective price (Material Price + Freight + Duty), he would want this price to update in the Material Master Record as Standard price.
I know we can use MR21 and LSMW to update this manually but we are looking to automate this process as we have more than 100,000 records in the system.
Can the above requirement be addressed through CK40N? if yes, How?

Usually, in std SAP, if there are multiple condition records, the one with lowest price is considered by the system in CK11N/CK40N
Configure your valuation variant to pick up price from info record... As far as I remember, the one with lowest price would get picked up when you do costing run...
however, if your requirement is bit different than this, but is based on a logic which can be configured in the system, then use Valuation Strategy U in your Valuation Variant and write your code accordingly in the exit COPCP005 (Component EXIT_SAPLCK21_002.)

How to update content types enheriting from the System Page Content type

After importing a design package I found out that my content types was missing some columns. I could add the missing columns to my "page" and "Article Page" site content type. When adding the exisiting columns I could choose to update
everything that inherits from this type:
This is working. However I still miss 2 columns in the "Page" Content type:
1. Rollup Image
2. Hide physical URLs from search
If I roll back my dev environment I can see that these are inherited from the "System Page" content type which is not editable. The columns are in the "System Page" content type but They are gone in "Page" content type that
should inherit the columns.
So how do I update these?

Thank you for replying. I totally agree with you regarding not to modify the OOB content types. The content types I have created/modified is also my own "new" content types.
However the designpackage import messed up the OOB content types somehow so I'm only trying to get back to the state before the import. The only thing I see is still missing is the two previously mentioned columns in the "page" content type.
Do you have any other suggestions in how to get back to the "OOB State"?

Update: this is my page content type. It's not set to read only so it should update the last two missing columns from its parent (system page content type) right?

Error while editing 0585&0586 Infotypes in ess

Hi Folks,
I am getting an error while editing the 0585&0586 infotypes in ess.
When i select the field edit it shows me the record with correct dates (Financial year dates) and when i start edidting the amounts and saving the data it was taking the current date as start date and throws an error saying
Begin date and End date for the infotype must match financial year dates.
A record already exists for the current financial year.
Please help in this regard.

If you want to edit the Info types -0585&0586.The control reocrd and the info type start period should be in the same fincial year.

HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION for upadting info type 0106 as secondary record

I am using this FM for updating info type 0021 and 0106 as secondary record, info type 0021 got created and also 0106 got created.
however individual fields in 0106 like perid, stras, ort01 are not updated, only record with key got created.
any clues how to use this FM

Does anyone know how to update the types of categories and the color tag used with iCal?

I'm not sure if I understand your question entirely. The colors you see in iCal are determined by the color of the calendar you choose for each of the calendars displayed on the left hand side of iCal. If you would like to change the color of one of the calendars, click on it's name once to highlight it and then go to Edit > Get Info. Click on the color picker square to choose a color. All,
When i am updateing info type 0581,i ended up with error as "No automatic
updation for info type 0008 and Relevant wage types not found.
Is this something related changes to user exits or config is missing at some where else.
Note: Dynamic acion is deleted for this.

When i am doing like this,it was showing an error in status bar as allowance grouping is not found.
Method what i followed for this:-
Intially updated list of wage components to IT0008 Like basic pay,Hra,DA,Coveyance.Later i am updateing 0581.Then i am getting an error as
" No Automatic updation to IT0008 and relevant wage types not found".Could you

Changing Activity type is not possible in CAT2.
However you can acheive this by changing in the work center or HR personal master data of that person.
I suggest you to read and understand the PS in this forum or SAP helo sites to better familarize with terminology and adopting the PS module very quickly.
