I got up this morning to be greeted with an invitation to update iTunes on my Windows 7 computers. Unfortunately I did both at once. They have both refused to take the update, after deleting the old version, despite hours of work deleting the old files and downloading fresh new files. I got some message about a missing MSVCR80.dll but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Then I got a message about an Apple driver TCP/IP driver that I also cannot find out how to fix despite hours of work.
Unless I can find a fix, my iphone, iPad, my wife's iPad mini and my apple TV will be nearly uselss shortly. I need to find a way to get the update to load and work on Windows 7.
Anyone else having the problem? Any fixes?Try:

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

I strongly agree. I hate tabs and don't understand why decisions are made to FORCE everyone to use them when the option to either have them or not was previously available. Anyone who likes them can turn them on but there is no reason to force us all to use tabs, or alternatively, go through hoops of finding some obscure add-on to remove them. Trying to make Firefox more dummy proof (you said it was done so folks would not harm their Firefox software) is a noble idea, but there must be a better way than forcing something like tabs on everyone when we don't want them. Really bad call, Firefox.

The minimum version required for Viber is 3.1, though it is always important to stay up to date. Why is it that you do not want to download the latest version?

I have the exact same issue. I havent found our what is causing it either. Multaple re-install attempts with no success. I have to use Windows Media Center to burn audio discs. Any other advice?

Having problems updating iphone software to version 5.0
I currently have version 4.3.1 and finally decided to update iphone software to version 5.0. It goes through the 6 minute process, but then I get the error message: "There was a probem downloading the software for the IPhone -----. The network connection ttimed out. Make sure your network setting are correct and your network connection is active or try again later."
I've tried several times and keep getting the same message. My network connection is active and I've just the firewall and made sure it allows itunes updates.
Please help! Any other suggestions? When answering please be very specific - I'm really clueless with the computer.

Plug in, click update software, and click download ONLY.
Let the ipsw file download complete,... then click update.
This way is much better. If you keep having error message, its either your internet connection is inconsistent or Apple's server is inconsistent... usually more likely the former. -

i have the same problem.and i found out, if my iphone vibrates,there is a new message, but its not shown.
if i restart my iphone after these vibrations, the new messages appear.very strange.

I recently upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 and Aperture 2.1.4 will no longer open. I cannot access my photos and I don't want to pay for latest version of Aperture since this application is no longer going to be supported. How can I get my pictures?
If you want just the originals, then you can go into the Aperture library (right click on it and do "show package contents"). Inside is a directory called "Masters" and you can find the original files in a bunch of subfolders.
But... you'll lose all adjustments, keywords, and other information, and just have the files as they were imported originally from the cameras.
Easiest is probably to buy Aperture and update everything, and then migrate to the Photos application down the road if that's what you want. Aperture 3.0 came out in 2010 (five years ago!) so it's not like you've upgraded in a while -
Hello, how to disable the long horizontal Mozilla yellow strip, popping up and reminding us constantly to "update a plugin", which we don't want to update.
Disabling the ones below:
1/ plugins.update.notify User;true
2/ plugin.scan.plid.all;true
3/ dom.ipc.plugins.enabled;false
either does not help or disables completely Flash! What else to do with this ultra annoying "Update plugins" reminder, as we want to keep the older version 10 of Flash? We just do not want Flash v. 11 - it takes huge amount of CPU, while Version 10 works fine for all 'you tube" and "etc"... videos. No need for V.11. (Let us worry about viruses and security) But here it comes the so annoying Mozilla reminder to upgrade to Flash Version 11 - the yellow strip also takes screen space under the address bar. Please help. Very annoying - almost ready to switch to other browsers if this issue is not resolve. Other than that, the Mozilla 14 is great. Congratulations to all designing it. Thanks in advance. I've downloaded the ios7 software to my iphone but it didn't let me install it over air so I connected my iphone to itunes and updated it .. it's now stuck half way through saying 'updating iphone software' it's been like that for 40 mins .. should I be worried?
I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.
