    Becaust I want to update some items in a G/L Account with bdc or other technique, but I found I can't   choose the items in the G/L Account with bdc automatically .That means I can't get the selected items and update them.So I try to update them with the function save_text  directly (I know the doc no，bukrs,fiscal year ,item no which will decide the long text item).
    Who can help me ?Or is there any way to solve the problem? Thanks very much.

    Yes, you can update directly using SAVE_TEXT.

  • How to update a text file?

    I am doing an assignment about a bank account. A text file stores the accounts.
    Account Text file:
    User1|Password1|Balance1
    User2|Password2|Balance2
    When user wants to deposit or withdraw the account, then how can update the balance.
    The problem is the length of balance is not fix. eg. $100 -> $90, vice versa.

    You cannot update a file that way. You're going to have to read the file and rewrite it in another file replacing the old balance value with the new balance value and then overwrite the old file with the new file.
    If the file is not to big you can load the whole file in memory with a String then work on that before rewriting it to the file.
    Otherwise your going to have to read chunks of lines and append them to a temporary file.
    I suppose this is no enteprise application but only a student's assignment, or else you should of course use a database for that kind of job!

    How to find long text in FI Document line item.
    During Parking of the FI document through Tcode FV50 i m giving the some text in the long text not in the text field.
    I would like to validate the Long Text Before Saving in user exit "U300" under  the  "Sunstitution" .
    Please anybody can be help me out where exactly this long text is going to be stored or in which internal table or memory id.
    Please give me the answer as soon as possible .
    Note:- Read_Text function module is not useful. Because Read_text useful after saving document.

    In application area FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING , go for node LINE ITEM. Here create a step & maintain the prerequisite as per your requirement & in the check you can mention the code or you can direct it to a custom program like ZFI_RGGBR000.
    Here while maintaining the check you will get structures BKPF & BSEG in which you will get the desired field you are looking for.
    Just try to explore in your system how the other validations are maintained.
    After you are done with all your code, you have to run the regeneration program RGUGBR00.
    Here utmost care should be taken while running regeneration program, you should select all the checkboxes in the selection screen except  GENERATE SETS, GEN SUBSTN ROUTNS IN ALL CLNTS  & TRACE PROG. GENERATE CALLS .

    1)  Create custom control in your screen

    3)  CALL METHOD editor->get_text_as_stream  "This method reads data from custom control , inserts into itab 'text_tab'

    How to read long text in FI Document line item.

    Use Read_text function module.
    you need to pass
    ID
    LANGUAGE
    NAME
    OBJECT   to the function moduel
    To find the Text id name language and object these are the following steps. Example: FB02
    1. goto FB02, Enter Document number
    2. from menuselect Goto>Header-->header Text..... New window will be displayed 
    3. select the Header Text. here you can see all the text. 
    4. click on the TEXT (which you want to know the Text id) , then press log ICON (you can find in bottom right of the text window) it looks like a rolled paper. 
    5. in the Next window you will find Text Name. Text ID, Language. etc...

    method1
    Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to include text
    then you can input text name/text object/text id/language
    method2
    create PROGRAM LINE node - use FM READ_TEXT to read it to a internal table
    then use LOOP or TABLE node to display it
    For TEXT module(For foreign language)
    Tr-code:smartforms -- choose Text module(not choose form)--create a text module object
    then enter smartform Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to text module
    input the text module name which created by above
    btw SO10 is just for Scriptform, in smartforms we use text module to replace SO10

    My requirement is to do MM02 Conversion. I have to Update 14 fields in the transaction.I got a Problem with my LONG TEXT Field.
    Requirement for updating is whenever a double quotes comes in the place of LONG TEXT in the input file, i have to empty the LONG TEXT in the transaction.
    For modifying the already existing Long Text, its working perfectly. But problem is arising only when i want to empty the LONG TEXT field.
    What i did was,    IF zbasic-matnr_long_text = ' "" '.
                               bmmh7-tdline = ' '.
    Also i have passed Text ID, Text Langauge.
    So please Help me with this Problem

    If i use Fm Delete_Text, as soon as it encounters the FM it will delete the LONG Text.
    Since Im using LSMW, everything should happen after i run the step 'Start Direct Input Program'.
    Please just consider, suppose there is a Transaction Error in my LSMW. So according to this situation no transaction should happen i mean LONG TEXT should not get deleted.
    But Since it has enountered the FM, Long text must get deleted.
    Please correct me if anything is wrong in my Logic.
    Also tell me what i should do if my Logic is correct.

    I'm having what I think is a similar problem but haven't found a soulution...
    I have a phone number for a contact that is 41 characters long (it's numbers and a couple commas (",") for pauses.
    When I touch the number to have my iPhone dial it - the iPhone does nothing.
    If I touch other numbers for the same contact (that are shorter) - it works.
    Is there a maximum lengh for phone numbers?
    Or is there something I should do? (ie. is there a way to dial the first half, and then press something ?? that would have the iPhone dial the remainder of the number?)

    I'm uploading service master records (transaction AC03) through my program using function BAPI_SERVICE_CREATE. As per the requirements, for each service number, I've to pass long text also (refer to the last text area on the transaction screen).
    In the tables section of the bapi BAPI_SERVICE_CREATE, there is a provision for an internal table on the form SERVICE_LONG_TEXTS. But it is of no use as even if I pass data to it, it is not written to the database.
    Can anyone tell me solution for my problem?

      I think there is an ICON to enter the long text.
      U can start filling the LONG text here using
      RSTXT-TXLINE(03) - this takes around 70 chars the next
      chars in RSTXT-TXLINE(04) and so on. U can get this
      in SHDB recording.

    I have requirement to show long text from backend text edit control to WD application. I am using READ_TEXT Fm to read the long text and passing it to text view UI element.
    The text is shown in simply one long line but I want it to show in the same format as stored in backend textedit control.
    If I take textedit UI control then it shows the text in formatted form.
    Could you please let me know how to achieve these for TextView control? My requirement is that I have to use only TextView control.

    The Problem solved to some extend but still the exact formatting is not happening though i am using cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline.
    for eg. if the long text is as below.
    "To display the external component, you can now embed an interface view of any window of this component in a window of your current embedding a view of oneu2019s own component. By setting up navigation from one outbound plug of a view of your inbound plug of the inter external component, you enable the external component to be displayed. New line ."
    and if in backend the Last line " New line ." is on next line, on WD it is not displayed on next line.
