How to update my CS5 suite?

Is there a way to update my whole CS5 suite? Shouldn't there be a Adobe Updater App. in CS5?

If you want to upgrade to CS6 you need to purchase it. Upgrades and updates are different things. CS5.5 is a different version entirely from CS6... CS6 is not an update for CS5.5. Chances are you have already received any upgrades for CS5.5 unless you inhibit them.

Issues updating my CS5 suite software

I've recently purchased a new laptop and installed and activated CS5 with the serial number and it is working fine. However, when I "update" the software, Adobe updater downloads the updates and then I get an error message (as per the screenshot attached) when I click on "Contact Customer Support" I am taken to an error message page explaining the error: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product..." when installing an upgrade or upsell
It was working fine until I installed it on a new machine. I suspect that it may be an issue with the fact that I did not "deactivate" it on my previous laptop. However, I cannot see anywhere that I can authorize which machines that the software should be on.
Also, I don't even see the CS5 suite mentioned as a registered product in my Adobe ID and when I try to add the serial number, I get an error saying thhis product has already been registered.
I can't get hold of anyone on the telephone as every option I dial has a concluding message that "this product is not supported on the telephone, please visit our community forums"

As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)

How do I reinstall CS5 Suite on a new hard drive

I have installed Adobe CS5 Suite Premium and Adobe Acrobat X Pro on my laptop and on my desktop. My desktop hard drive crashed and had to be replaced. I now cannot re-install these programs because it is asking me for username/password information that is correct but not working for the installation. PLEASE HELP ME

It asks me twice. The first time, I plug in the username/password for my Adobe account and it works (image 1486). The second one (image 1485) does not work. The issue is occurring at the Install Options point in the installation

HI I have recently had a hard drive failure and had to reinstate cs5 creative suite. I then tried to update it but the update stalls after loading 85% with an error message. i cannot find any he;p on the adobe website for this product. I would appreciate any advice thanks.

Photoshop cs5.1 (12.1) was a paid upgrade from photoshop cs5.
(not really an upgrade because cs5 and cs5.1 have the same features, more or less)
(photoshop cs5.1 was part of the creative suite cs5.5, in which some programs had new features, but not photoshop)
I don't think you would gain anything anyway over photoshop cs5.
The latest update for photoshop cs5 is 12.0.4

I'm having the same issue. And Dreamweaver now crashes after just a few seconds.

Remote update cs5 suites

We have about 15 clients with different cs5 suites and some lose photoshop/dreamweaver installs on the network. both microsoft and osx clients.
What is the best way to keep these clients updated without running around all the time?
Was looking for some console update options but can't find a thing about that.
Adobe has a nice deployment toolkit which was perfect for deployment.
Also read about hosting your own update server. But nothing in the docs about remotely updating the clients.
anyone some good advice for this?

just to make sure there is no misunderstanding:
All Creative Suite Apps are updated except for the app with the name "Adobe Creative Cloud".
When I use the Creative Cloud Packager and select solely the core components, "Adobe Creative Cloud" is a part of them. The program itself shows a message saying that an update is necessary, but RUM won't update "Adobe Creative Cloud".

you need camera raw 7.2 or better: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
so, you'll probably need to use dng converter 7.4 because your cs5 program won't accept a 7.2+ update. but check first because it's not clear what cs5 program you're trying to use.

How to update CS5 and use Air 2.6

Sorry, but I am lost.
I know that packaging will be different but I am completely lost on how to use/update Flash Cs5 with the new AIR 2.6 SDK.
Do I have to copy files over or is there an installation? Do I just have to change some paths in Flash?
Please help. I am VERY eager to test the improved performance of the NEW packager.

I have never used terminal on a mac, but jumped in and its pretty cool and not too hard. But I can't figure out how to use the new 2.6 packager at all
I have put my swf and xml in the bin folder and run adt, which doesn't allow me to add anything it says [process complete]
So I guess this is supposed to happen and then I open a new terminal shell and add this:-
./adt -package
-target ipa-test
-storetype pkcs12 -keystore /Users/myname/MYcertif/myCertificates.p12 -storepass mypassword
-provisioning-profile /Users/myname/MYcertif/certif.mobileprovision
MYnewApp.ipa
STR-app.xml
STR.swf
it gives me "command not found" after each line.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs help with this. I don't think I'm running the terminal from the right place
can anyone help?

If you mean you wish to purchase CS5 as an upgrade for CS4, Adobe no longer sells CS5. You can purchase CS6, but not likely as an upgrade however because for many CS6 products they require CS5 or newer to qualify for an upgrade purchase of CS6. Here is a link where you can check if the software you want is available as a CS6 upgrade for CS4....
