How to upgrade Flash Builder 4 to 4.1

I have FB 4 installed. I am trying to upgrade to 4.1. I found a zip file, downloaded it and unzipped it but there does not appear to be any way of applying the update. Am I missing something?

On Mac, I had to have the 32bit version of Luna for 4.6, and the 64bit version of Luna for 4.7 (and I recently started using 4.7 with Eclipse Mars).
For 4.6 you need to first download Eclipse 3.6 and install the Flash Builder 4.6 plugin to that Eclipse install. For 4.7 you need to download Eclipse 3.7 and install the plugin to that Eclipse install. Once it's installed in the 3.x version, you can then copy the fb*.link files from the Eclipse 3.x dropins folders into your Eclipse Luna's dropin folder.
There is an issue where something in Flash Builder 4.7 won't work right when using it as a plugin, not sure but it might be something with building ANEs.

Upgrading Flash Builder from 4.6 to 4.7

Hello guys,
I'm currently using Flash Builder to develop iOS and Android application. Last iOS7 version has caused some issues in my application and I want to see if upgrading Flash Builder and AIR SDK to latest version will be fixing them.

I then receive an email saying "Your request for a complimentary upgrade to Flash Builder 4.7 has been received. You will receive additional information from Adobe Customer Care within 48 hours."
Then I receive another one saying "With this response, we believe your issue is resolved and have therefore closed your case 0211769917"
But I didn't get any news from an update available or something.
Could you tell me where I can get it or maybe contact them back so I can re-open the ticket?

I think I've solved this...
You need to check your 'My Adobe' account. If you look under 'My products' you should now have a new Flash Builder serial number for version 4.7.
It doesn't seem that an email with a new serial number is sent out.

How to update Flash Builder 4 beta 2 so that it remains compatible with snapshots?

I have Flash Builder 4 beta 2 STANDALONE installed on my Mac (MacOSX 10.6) and I just upgraded my Flex SDK to the latest stable snapshot (4.0.0.13875). Now it seems that the visual designer is not very happy with this upgrade.
And in "Using Gumbo builds with Flex Builder" (http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Using+Gumbo+Builds+in+Flex+Builder) it is said that "Please note that the release of a milestone build will usually have an associated automatic update to Flex Builder that will include all relevant files."
The question is how do I get that automatic update? I've tried Help/Software Updates/Find and install.../Updates for existing features, but it didn't find any updates. Any idea how I can revive my Design mode?

There are no updates for Beta 2.

How to upgrade Flash Player in Windows 8.1 Pro

I have windows 8.1 pro with IE 11 and the news video won't be able to play online. The error message is "Sorry, Clip not found...Media not found". It gives only an option to click 'OK' and the screen stays black. I am sure the video is OK, because I can run it on Windows 7.
I contacted Microsoft Support and they suggested I upgrade my flash player. My flash player version is 13.0.0.206 and the lasts is 13.0.0.214. I tried to upgrade and it says "Flash player is integrated in Windows 8" and no option to install it.
I also tried uninstall Flash player with Uninstall Flash Player tool but it did not uninstall Flash even though the message said 'uninstalled successfully'.
In brief, how do I correct 'Sorry, clip not found. Media not found' when I play online video? This is a news video, not movie or youtube and how do I upgrade Flash on Windows 8.1 with IE 11.

Microsoft embeds Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x systems and you can only update Flash Player for IE by updating Internet Explorer. Microsoft releases Internet Explorer updates whenever there is a Flash Player update (usually monthly). To update your version of Internet Explorer go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Windows Update > Check for Updates. Since you don't have the latest version of Flash Player, it should find the 'Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8.1 (KB2957151)' released May 13, 2014. Alternatively, the URL for this specific download is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2957151.
If you also have other non-IE browsers, you can install/update Flash Player by going to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer using the non-IE browser and the page will present you with the appropriate version for the OS and browser.

I am using Flash Builder 4 and facing issues for make its flex project in Flex 4.0 and i have made it successfully in Flex 3.0 with help of BlazeBS-bin 2.6. If i tried to made project in Flex 4.0 then it is giving an error " Only LiveCycle Data Services 2.6 and higher are supported." and i also download BlazeDS-bin-3.2 and use it to create a project but it is still giving me this error, please help me .........

Welcome to the forum.
I suppose the only question is does your superdrive support dual layer discs?
Looking at your specs I'd assume it does. That being the case the only other thing to do is decide how the layer change will occur. I'm pretty sure the default is to create the layer break automatically but to check this highlight the disc icon at the very top of the Outline window. In the Disc Inspector select the Disc/Volume tab. Set the Disc Media to the 8.54gig option and the greyed out features below become available.
The simplest route is to just leave them all as default, but this will mean that DVDSP will choose a point at which the layer change will occur and that may be right in the middle of something where you don't want a slight pause while it jumps to the next layer. You can place a marker in your track which is a layer-break-point marker (tick the box in the marker inspector) forcing the layer change. From memory the DVD spec prefers Layer 1 to be larger than Layer 2 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) - all of this is covered in the manual so you might want to check up on the details there.
Then insert your disc and hit Build&Format.

Yes, in Terminal you type a single line which is made from the path to the adt application, some parameters, and paths to other documents. Here's the full list of things:

That "-C" line is clever, it does a directory change to the folder you give it, so after the -C /location/to/swf part it will then look in that same folder for other documents, and for where to build the IPA file.

Flash Builder is beta software, this means it is in a final testing
phase and is not yet available to buy. From the Flash Builder download
page on adobe labs:
"These beta installers will time out in 30 days. If you are an existing
Flex Builder 3 customer, Adobe will email you a serial number that will
extend the beta so you can continue testing. You will receive this email
21 days after your download. If you do not receive the email and hold a
valid Flex Builder 3 license, you can request the extension serial
number <http://www.adobe.com/go/flashbuilderextension> here by entering
your Flex Builder 3 serial number"
So if you do not have a licensed version of Flex Builder 3 you only get
30-days. Once it has expired you have the following options:
1) Wait until Flash Builder is released and then buy it (you may be
waiting for several months).
2) Buy Flex Builder 3 now so that you can apply for a 21 day license
extension for Flash Builder beta.

Upgrade Flash builder 4 from Master Collection CS5 to Flash builder 4.7

Yesterday, I bought an upgrade for Flash builder 4.7 but when I try to activate it, the serial I give (Master Collection CS5) is not valid.

How to use Flash Builder and iphone 3g?

i've downloaded FB 4.5... and i'm trying to develop something on my iphone 3g, but i've discovered (with big disappointment) that it's not supported...
Is there any version (even a previous one) of FB that i could use in order to work with iphone 3g?
or... will there be a patch in the future to use that phone?

How to download Flash Builder beta on a bad connection?

I'm on a slow, unstable connection and 1gb is pretty hard to get without stalling and resuming multiple times, but resuming doesn't seem to work in labs for some reason - maybe my session times out? I usually use Free Download Manager to handle big files like this, but the security on labs downloads prevents me from using a download helper. Other Adobe software has a nice download program, but not the betas.
I'm specifically trying to get the Windows 64 bit Flash Builder with monacle for game development. I can't find a torrent for it (torrents also work beautifully on my crappy connection). I guess this is more a suggestion to Adobe labs - please put aside your security concerns and make it easier for us to download these huge files!

I use free manager download, but the link provided for flashbuilder does not work with it. I used "DownThemAll" plugin for firefox, it downloaded 75% but now the link to the flashbuilder 4.7 game edition (since 8th oct.2012) does not work at all for 2 days in a row, so I can't download it anyway.

Upgrading Flash Builder Trial to Full

I've been using the Flash Builder Premium trial and would now like to purchase Flash Builder Standard. Can I just purchase a code online and enter it into the trial and continue using it as normal with the premium features disabled? Or will it be a separate install requiring export/import of projects from the trial version and reinstalling plugins?

No separate installation should be needed - the Standard SN should be accepted to activate Flash Builder.

How to get Flash Builder problems tab (warnings and errors) in english

Hi,
my Flash Builder installation is showing the warnings and errors in Finnish. I get the idea behind this and the reason is good, as I'm native speaker of the language. Nevertheless it has some drawbacks when trying to resolve the issue by googling the error because Finnish is pretty marginal language and almost every Finnish Flex developer writes his/her posts in English. So either I have to try to guess the problems correct translation in English, which can be hopeless, or try to google it in Finnish which, as said, returns about zero results.
That said, I'm wondering if it's possible to change the warnings and problems in English? Do I need to reinstall Flash Builder to accomplish this?

Unfortunately I already tried that with no success. The strange thing is, that in my Flash Builder plugin directory in eclipse.ini the language was already declared as follows:
-nl
en_US
Didn't even touch that, it was there before and still my errors and warnings were (and still stay) in Finnish (everything else in Eclipse is in English).
Any thoughts?
