How to upgrade handheld firmware to the most available recent version

I have a BB 8800 (T-Mobile) and I tried to update current firmware (4.2.1.101) to the recent OS version. I went to the T-Mobile site and found that there was older version (4.2.1.74) than installed on my handheld.
So, I did the following. I checked all carries on this page and found that Orange UK offers handheld version 4.5 for BB8800.
I downloaded handheld 4.5 software from Orange UK site. Installed it on my PC.
Deleted the VENDOR.XML file located at:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\VENDOR.XML
After that I connected my handheld to the PC and ran Blackberry Desktop Manager.
And it upgraded my handheld OS to the 4.5.0.52

How can I show redirects in the history in recent versions of Firefox?

When I visit a site that redirects to another site, the redirect page doesn't appear in my history (for example, a youtu.be page redirects to a page on youtube.com, but only the youtube.com page appears).
However, it appears the redirects are still in the history, just invisible-- Firefox lists those redirect pages as an option if I type an incomplete url in the address bar. So they're in my history, but I can't select them (and delete them if I feel like preventing them from appearing in my address bar, as I have a habit of doing for pages I'm not interested in). The only way I've found to delete them is by using "Forget About This Site", which also removes other pages, and can't even be done for url shortener sites that always redirect.
This has only been happening in the last several months-- I think it started with a recent Firefox update. (Version 13 or 14, perhaps? It didn't first appear in version 15, since I remember hoping that it was a bug that would be fixed with the next update, but it wasn't.)
If this is an intentional design choice, as it seems to be, how can I turn this off so redirects are always visible as they used to be? (Or if it's a bug, does anyone know if/when it's planned to be fixed?)

Yes to both of these. Here's an interesting twist: A few days ago I set up a new profile. This profile displays photos inline on incoming mail. I have not tried sending, but for the same message recieved by the two profiles, the old one only makes the jpegs available as separate attachments, where the new one shows them inline as well. I have tried to compare settings in the different profiles to see what is different, however this is not easy considering that I can have only one copy of Tbird open at one time (so far as I can tell) so switching back and forth is slow.

I have a X300 (6478-1HP) with the optional battery instad of the CD-ROM drive. That drive just stopped working, it just can't read dics anymore. I'm happy with my Samsung USB CD-ROM, runs great.
But how can I upgrade my SSD drive with the new firmware just released? The readme.txt states that we should not use USB drives to do it. What now? Anyone tried already?

You HAVE to have access to a Computer to upgrade your iPad. You can NOT do it thru 3G/WiFi. That is why you are getting that message.

If there is a firmware upgrade available for your model of PowerBook, it will appear when your run Software Update and also be listed at http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
Then you download the installer and run it. Usually you have to do something like hold down the Command key and Power button while you're restarting.
Firmware updates don't come along very often. The last one I can remember installing was for my B&W G3. The last firmware upgrades I can see listed for a PowerBook were for the 550MHz or 667MHz G4s back in 2002.

All you can do is restore from backup. To do that see the restore topic of:

Also, turn off autosyncing so that when you reconnect the iPod to yuor computer the old backup does not get overwritten . To turn off go iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says "Prevent iPods...".
iTunes only retains the most recent backup and updates it with the changes.

Get what denoted in what properties link.
You can get the version number in Help -> About Firefox,
and in '''about:support''' typed into the Location bar, and you can use JavaScript to list the user agent -- javascript:navigator.userAgent
I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

It should be installed automatically through Software Update (ie, the App Store's Update tab), if you have Java installed. Java is not installed by default in Mountain Lion, however. If you don't have Java, you can try to open the Java Preferences app (in /Applications/Utilities) to be prompted to install it. Note, though, that the current version of Java from Apple no longer includes a web applet plug-in. If you need that, you'll need to install Java 7 from Oracle.

Check on the Nokia software update site for your specific model. Be aware that they release firmware for different regions at different times.
As for upgrading via a Mac, that isn't available as yet.
Don't bother trying through Parallels. I have and it doesn't work.

I am a new smartphone user, this is my first.
The OS version I have on my phone now is V4.5.0
Should I upgrade to V4.50.306? (I have AT&T as my carrier and that is the most current upgrade available.)
What happens when I do the upgrade?
Will I loose any programs on my phone, like Documents To Go, Facebook, Email Accounts I've already set up, or information in my address book?

Ok, that is a lot of questions for one post, but let me take a shot at it.
First download/install desktop software 6.0.1, its the newest, its backwards compatable with all devices and its pretty easy to use.
When you plug your device in, desktop software will let you know if an update is available (only through your carrier though). When you update through desktop software it should preserve all your data.
As for syncing to outlook, you can set up desktop software to syncronize between your BlackBerry and a program on your computer (such as outlook) via your USB cable (not data). It can syncronize 4 things: Address book (aka contacts), Calendar, Tasks (aka to-do list), and memo pad.
I think I answered everything.
Any other quesitons?

I have a Motorola WPCI810g wireless card that i have been using for over a year. Previously in Panther i tried to upgrade to Airport 4.2 to take advantage of WPA, but i ended up having to downgrade back to 4.1 because 4.2 left airport nonoperational. I have been on Tiger for quite a while and only recently noticed that i was automatically upgraded to Airport 4.2, however I do not have WPA as an encryption option (neither when joining, or creating a network). I can only assume it has to do with the firmware on the card but I cant figure out how to update it. I have tried to search these threads but the closest i can come is using Airport Admin Utility to upgrade the firmware on a base station.
