How to upgrade softare update in N73 Music Edution...
hello,
i want to upgrade my n73me with new upgrade.
well..actually i dont know anything abt it how to update it.
do i have to do it by computer or i can put in my memory card n upgrade it.
if it has to upgrade by computer then what should i do??
my current version is 3.0705.1.0.31. and the latest one is 4.0839.42.2.1. so it would good to upgrade??

you would have to dowload NSU - Nokia software updater program from Nokia site. once you get this done, make sure you backup all your data via Nokia PC suite so that you don't lose anything. Connect your phone via the usb cable and launch the NSU it will search for your phone and determine if there is a firmware update for your phone. if there is you can chose the update/install option. be very careful when you update your phone so that it is fully charged, and it does not disconnect from the computer while updating as it may cause serious problems. hope this helps

Rajanayagam.It exists two methods to upgrade the system. The first one is to boot from an installation media or from a jumpstart server and if the installer can do an upgrade, then it will display the "upgrade" option. The second option is a method named Live Upgrade.

If you are on Version 11.0.1 rather than 11 Apple put it back in
View > Show Duplicates
Option + View > Show Exact Duplicates

How to determine N73 Music Edition is genuine?
Hi recently i have bought a N73 Music Edition, Its pretty sweet. But i have read informations about how you can update an N73 phone to a Music Edition and then just change to the black cover. Control click on the column header name. Add the column type "Kind". Then you can sort on that column.

No need to empty anything.
You can update by connecting your phone to iTunes on your computer. This way you bypass the space limitations.

I'm really disappointed with new 5 update. No music, No photos, No videos, lost all emails. Anyone know how to get these all back? Yes, I have synced and synced and synced. Help
Hopefully it isn't too late for this but: before performing an update it is really best if you close all apps (double click the home button, click and hold on one of the apps that appears at the bottom of the phone until the red minus sign appears and then tap the minus sign until all apps are closed) and then turn the phone off by holding the standby button until the slider saying "slide to power off" appears and slide it to turn the phone off. Then turn the phone back on and hook it up to your computer to sync and perform the upgrade. This also helps if you do this before performing syncs too. I had problems with an iPod previously where it would fail to backup before sync most times, but have never had a problem with updates or syncs since I started performing this procedure. Unfortunately, your pre-update backup may have failed and the data in your apps might be gone, but you could try to restore your phone. If I remember correctly how to do this, you connect it to your computer and check for updates. It should say you're up to date, but have an option to restore the phone. If it does, I'd try that. It may also have a "restore from backup" option you could try.

Nokia N73 Music edition phone dead while updating ...
Hi,
I just tried to update my nokia N73 Music edition phone to the latest firmware. When I tried it, it said there is no update available, do you want to reinstall the latest firmware. I wanted to get my phone to a clean to, since most programs were misbehaving, unfortunately while upgrading it stopped at a state saying 14 secs remaining. Then after some time, it said the connection is lost.
It also displayed some instructions to remove the battery, and place usb card first, etc.. I followed all those to no avail. The phone just remained blank. Nothing happened. I have restarted my system, removed the battery from the cell phone multiple times, nothing has helped.
Please help me.

Hello there - how can I share my iTunes library between two users on the same computer? I put the library in a shared folder between both and have selected this library on both as well, but when I update iTunes with music etc it only appears on one?
Thank you Joe - I tried this but it's only showing a teensy amount of music - the stuff on the second users account as opposed to the giagntic library on the 'main' account. I actually went to a Genius Bar and they said that apple doesn't really want you to share music between accounts - parents don't want to hear their kids music etc. Which seemed strange, but it might be the case sadly Thanks anyway!

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
