How to upgrade the fwsm image from 3.1(10) to 4.0(8).

Hi all,
I need to upgrade the fwsm image from 3.1(10) to 4.0(8). Can i do it directly from 3.1(10) to 4.0(8) ?
Do i need to upgrade other image also along with Firewall version 4.0(8)?

Application partitiion is what you will be upgrading from 3.1.(10 to 4.0(8).
MP - maintenance partition is supposed to be 2.1.2 or above which is the same requirement for 3.1.x so, you will be good there.

commands you will need are:
copy tftp flash:image
copy tftp flash:asdm

I follwed this note only (Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 290807.1]) to upgrade my Jre -1.6.0_23 version .Use the same steps to downgrade to 1.6.0_20 (i.e. download the correct plug-in, issue "txkSetPlugin.sh jversion" with the desired version, ..etc).
I given it to application team for testing they come back with some issues telling that some application and users unable to access so requesting to downgrade the JRE to 1.6.0_20 version.What issues? Have you considered upgrading to 1.6.0_24?

It exists two methods to upgrade the system. The first one is to boot from an installation media or from a jumpstart server and if the installer can do an upgrade, then it will display the "upgrade" option. The second option is a method named Live Upgrade.

If you do Cmd+Shift+3 you'll get a full screen image saved to your desktop as a jpg file.
Also, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 and you'll get a cursor which you click+drag to draw a box. When you release the drag the boxed in area will be saved to the Desktop as a jpg file.

The RX100M3 is supported only by version 8.5. It sounds like you need a newer version.

Downgrade Mavericks to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
      loads select your language and click on the Continue
      button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
      Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
      mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
      of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then
      the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART
      info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on
      the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
      from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
      Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
      partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
      the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups made while on Snow Leopard, then you may do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion/Mountain Lion files.

You need the 8.2 version of the ACR module, and PS10 is too old to be updated.
So, you can choose between 3 solutions:
- update PSE to PSE12
- use the Canon software to convert the raw files to the tiff format which PSE10 can handle
- download and install the free Adobe DNGconverter which is able to convert a whole folder of CR2 raw files to the Adobe DNG raw format which PSE10 can handle.
The last two solutions are free.

How do I view multiple images from different projects at the same time?

I've been trying to find the answer in the user manual, but no luck so far.
I did find how to open 2 projects at once, but I can only see one image at a time in the viewer and I have to keep going back and forth between projects to compare images. (These are scans of old photos and I want to eliminate the ones that are poorer quality, so need to compare numerous images from 2 sets of scans)
How can I view an image from one project at the same time as an image from another? I know that it can be done in the same project by apple-clicking the second, third etc image, but this doesn't work if the images are from different projects.

I've now created an album, independent of the projects, and dragged test images into it and it does just the job I needed. Now i just need to keep my brain sorted with which ones are which while i'm working

I would just like to give some quick advice that you all may already know but I was just told this countless of times that I thought you all would like to know. \
I have been told by numerous of photography professors that it is always best to try to format your camera every now and then. Because your memory card is not really deleting the photos but rather hiding it somewhere. This is a problem because it still takes space from your card. The solution to this is to FORMAT because it is one of the safest ways for your camera to erase images. It also sets up properly for your camera like new. But make sure to save your images before doing formatting. I have had many silly accidents this way. Lol.

All files mentioned are available somewhere on Nomadness. Also check out the sticky thread in their JB section of the forum as it lists what hard dri'ves will work in a JB and which ones won't. I hope you haven't already bought your upgrade hard dri've.

I have two asa5520s and they are configured as active/active failover and multi-contents.
Now, I need upgrade their images. But, I find:
1. On the asa5520 which content admin is active, I can go to system by (changeto system) and I can upgrade the asa image and adsm image.
2. On the asa5520 which content admin is standby, I can not go to the system side,
my-asa5520-2/content2#changeto system
Command not valid in current execution space.
Could anyone advice me:
how can I upgrade the image for second box?
is my configuration of failover/multi-contents wrong? If so, how to configure the failover/multicontents to allow me able to go to system space on second box?
Any comments will be appreciated

It could be a little confusing, but I'll try to make it simple.
Upgrading firewalls in Active/Active mode:
I would notife the two ASAs as following-
ASA1 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Standby)
ASA2 (Admin context Standby/Ctx1 context Active)
Assuming that both ASAs are running on 7.1.2 code.
So .. before starting the upgrade procedure, following is the status of the two ASAs:
ASA1 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Standby)
ASA2 (Admin context Standby/Ctx1 context Active)
Step 1) Login to the Admin context on ASA1 and copy the new image to flash.
Step 2) Move to the system execution space of ASA1 from Admin context and set the
image to use the newly copied image. DO NOT RELOAD THE ASA YET. Current state:
ASA1 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Standby) --> pointing to new image.
ASA2 (Admin context Standby/Ctx1 context Active)
Step 3) Move back to Admin context on ASA1 and fail this context to ASA2 using
"no failover active" command. Now the current state of ASAs is:
ASA1 (Admin context Standby/Ctx1 context Standby) --> pointing to new image.
ASA2 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Active)
Step 4) Shut down ASA1, do not reload, shutdown. Current state:
ASA1 (SHUTDOWN) --> pointing to new image.
ASA2 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Active)
Step 5) Login to the Admin context on ASA2 and copy the new image to flash.
Step 6) Move to the system execution space of ASA2 from Admin context and set the
image to use the newly copied image. DO NOT RELOAD THE ASA YET. Current state:
ASA1 (SHUTDOWN) --> pointing to new image.
ASA2 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Active) --> pointing to new image.
Step 7) Shutdown the ASA2 and power on ASA1. Current state:
ASA1 (BOOTING) --> pointing to new image.
ASA2 (SHUTDOWN) --> pointing to new image.
Step 8) Once the ASA1 has booted up, it will start using the new image. Current state:
ASA1 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Active) --> up with new image.
ASA2 (SHUTDOWN) --> pointing to new image.
Step 9) Now boot ASA2, once up, current state should be:
ASA1 (Admin context Active/Ctx1 context Active) --> up with new image.
ASA2 (Admin context Standby/Ctx1 context Standby) --> up with new image.
Both the ASAs have been upgraded successfully. Now if the Failover groups are configured with
"preempt" command, the failover group 2, will automatically become active on ASA2, if failover
group 2 is not configured with "preempt", we will need to manually failover ctx1 context from
ASA1 to ASA2.

I use the -record option for creating the destination file or edit the response file manually for being able to install the new client. But I have no idea, how to remove the old client.
The following command doesn't work:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\oui\install\setup.exe" -deinstall DEINSTALL_LIST={"oracle.client","8.1.6.0.0"}
What am I doing wrong? How to remove the Oracle Client silently?

There is no need to get the path. It is also fairly pointless as the server cannot access the client's local file system.
